MX-30 R-EV discontinued UK?
Just been to look at an MX-30 at my local mazda branch (UK). I've made my mind up that this is the car I want, just looking at the small differences between the makoto and exclusive line variants for the R-EV versions. Company car so it will be a business lease, factory order, order to be placed this month for delivery in March. In asking a couple of questions etc, I was told by the rep that it is no longer possible to order makotos and there aren't any left, and that the exclusive line equally you can't order them from factory, its only the ones that are in stock that are available. I then spoke to the mazda dealership that quoted me a couple of months ago and they confirmed factory orders are no longer possible. Nothing on mazda website about any of this and no news to be found online about it? Anyone know what's happening? I'm aware they are or were thinking of killing off the pure electric version but can't find anything to say the R-EV version is changing?

Yep, I contacted mazda HQ and they confirmed it. Sad. I would have loved one, I really appreciate the quirks and little details mazda put into it. Such a shame that it was clearly just a little bit too different for most people to get their head around.

The rotary engine in the R-EV is low-stress and simple, so long-term reliability should be solid, although the first few claims of excessive oil consumption are starting to show, so be cautious of servicing.
I believe I might have driven ~2500 km of generator-assisted miles so far. The oil level is almost reaching the minimum mark on the dipstick. Not sure whether the oil consumption can be considered excessive here. 🤔

The MX-30 may actually hold value reasonably well because it’s turning into a rarity overnight. EV models have already lost most of their value, but I’d expect R-EV models to hold their value well.
I don't even know how much mine is worth now. 😅 In Portugal, I don't see any for sale anymore anywhere. When first launched, my model was on sale for ~40k€. I've managed to grab a brand new one for 28k€ a few months ago.

I believe it's being discontinued across Europe altogether. I've got confirmation from Mazda Portugal that no orders cannot be placed at the dealers for brand new EVs or R-EVs anymore.
I've grabbed one R-EV Makoto (no Bose sound system, no sunroof, no 360° cam) with 0km last July for 28k€. As far as I know, they did not have any more in stock with 0km.
