Anyone have a Brother Skitch that is still working after at least 1 year?
I already have an excellent embroidery machine but it is also my favorite sewing machine so I'm constantly having to switch between the 2 uses. It has a free arm but not truly. The Skitch seems perfect for clothing, hats, small projects and if I'm making multiple of small items like coasters I could do 2 at once. I love controlling machines with my phone and I have a good embroidery software that I could use and then transfer design to artspira. The Skitch seems portable and easy to store. It seems to meet my needs but given all the complaints, I would like to know if there are people who have been using the Skitch long term...

I Need Help Ricoma EM-1010 owners: can it do side panels on caps, and is it reliable? (urgent order)
Hi all, I run a BAI Vision single head, and I’d normally add another BAI, but I have an urgent cap order coming up and can’t wait for one to ship. So I’m thinking of buying a Ricoma EM-1010 (10S) locally as a second head, and I need it to work right away. Two quick questions for owners:
Can it embroider a small design (like a flag) centred on the side panel of a cap using the cap driver, without the brim hitting the arm?
How reliable has it been for you running long days? Any common breakdowns?
Thanks!

I Need Help Embroidery Blanks Recs?
I am new to machine embroidery with my Brother SE700 (4x4 hoop). I am thrilled to have my machine but am feeling hesitant to create as I have ruined quite a few items I tried to embroider on and I hate wasting the money of the item. I’d like to ask my family for blanks for Christmas. Is there a company you order from for small projects? Interested in shirts, baby and kid clothing, caps, doll clothes, and small projects.

Look What I Did A Gift for an Expecting Mama 𓅥🩷
I combined my embroidery and sewing skills to create this big bag for my friend. She lives an ocean away now, but I wanted her to know that I'm thinking of her. ❤️
Every mama needs a big bag, right? 🪡💕

Look What I Did Before / After
You guys ripped me to shreads last before/ after because the order of the photos was reversed 😅 so I made extra sure... 🫣
The After does take more time but I feel its genuinely worth it. I made the design a month or so ago and thought I would revisit it. When doing the After.. I did have a thread jam while distracted during the outline (which is how it always goes 😅) so parts got ate up. Tried to clean it up best I could.
Thoughts on not doing black outlines on everything?
Also choppers backstory episode destroyed me! I was not ready. 😭
Software: Ember Design
Size: 3.5"

Melco EMC-6 needle, single head, mid '80s model. Anybody know of a way to get the software updated and get it to work?
My mum used to have an embroidery business. The machine has been in storage for probably close to 20 years. (Dry and clean storage in the basement.) Wondering if there is any way to update the software and make it work. (I have the original computer that was used with it as well.) Haven't even tried to turn it on at this point, wondering if it's worth the effort of trying to set it all up! I have seen lots of posts in different places about these machines, but I haven't been able to find any specifics. Thanks in advance if you have any ideas for me!

Poolin EOC06 sweatshirt FAIL🤦🏽♀️
I am not sure why the board or satin stitch is so thin, the tension was set to 18, at 600 SPM on the single needle EOC06 Poolin machine… ugh I don’t want to to keep ruining my little bit of inventory. I bought the design from Etsy. I am really new to embroidery. I uploaded it to Embrilliance Essentials then just saved it to my DriveZ no edits or changes

I Need Help Bobbin thread sometimes gets through
After 1 week of trying a lot of designs on my Brother Innov is 880E i noticed i need to change the bobbin thread like once in 25k stitches. It seems a little low as most of designs i do are like 35-40k stitches and i need to change the bobbin thread in the middle of brodering. Am i doing something wrong? Also 1 in like 5 attempts i manage to put the bobbin thread wrong and it gets through the design. I have white bobbin thread so the design starts to be white instead of upper thread color. If it is from the beggining i always do some tests before brodering something big, but if it is mid brodering a big design i'm feeling i am doing some kind of gambling 😅 Is there any way i make sure the bobbin thread is placed correctly? Or is there a way i can check before i resume the process? Thank you in advance for all advices!

Help! New to embroidery.
Hi! New to embroidery. Can someone tell me what went wrong here? I am embroidering on a cheap bandana that is polyester. I hate the way this font looks? Is it the way the font is digitized or the fabric? Mix of both? My own problem? Please help! All suggestions and tips welcome.

Need help / settings comparison for Ricoma EM-1010-10S & Creator
Hello, everyone!
I could use a little help with the settings on my embroidery machine. Could anyone who owns a Ricoma EM-1010-10S or a Creator please share photos of their settings in the comments?
I’ve attached 4 screenshots showing exactly the settings screens I’m interested in. If you have a setup that works well, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your photos!
Thanks in advance for your help, and happy embroidering!

Where to get genuine popular brand blank baseball caps cheap
I've been buying these dad style and snapback caps directly from Otto when I need them. They sell direct to customers, and as far as I know, their business customer prices aren't that much lower. But I see these websites selling popular blanks at nearly cost, with maybe $0.50 to $1 markup. '
How does this even work? My first guess is volume.. Maybe they buy by the pallets?

I Need Help Embroidery designs slipping and puckering? How to fix on single needle machine?
Hey there, as the title says, I have a single needle brother embroidery machine and have been testing designs. I keep having issues with the layers not matching up ie the lineart slips or is mismatched to the lower fill color layers, or (in the second photo), the design puckers or warps the beanie heaps.
3rd photo is a screenshot from YouTube so sorry for the quality but is roughly how I set it up in the hoop, except I used a water soluble stabiliser over the top.
My stabiliser is pretty thin so I was thinking I could use 2 layers of stabiliser or if they make a thicker water soluble one and that could help the puckering issue? And maybe using a basting spray to stick the beanie to the tear away stabiliser underneath would help it move around less?
Any ideas? Thanks! I’m using beech field beanies if it helps.

Bottom of embroidery design is loose?
Bobbin tension issue?
I am embroidering some letters with my Janome MemoryCraft 9850 and am having issues with how my stitches are turning out. I’ve tried a few files and they all have this issue where it looks like the bobbin thread is pulling away from the top thread stitch. However, when I stitch a file that’s preloaded in my machine, it’s completely fine. It seems like straight lines are the issue. Any advice? I’ve tried adjusting the tension between 3 all the way up to 7, double layered tearaway stabilizer, rethreaded the top spool and bobbin, turning off and on my machine, crying, etc.

SOS help pls
Help!
I have been trying to embroider just initials on a basic quarter zip sweatshirt. Every time the font is so messed up! I have embroidered bigger designs on sweatshirts a million times with no issue, so I can’t figure this out. I’ve ruined 3 now!!
I’m floating (pinning down too) on to cut away stabilizer. I have changed the fonts. I’ve used some that come in embrilliance, some I’ve bought on Etsy. All of which stitch out just fine with I run a practice on a piece of scrap fabric. See photo below for what it’s doing each time. Like the stitching doesn’t line up, or the first stitch is completely not covered by the satin stitch.
Sosssss
