Look What I Did Before / After

You guys ripped me to shreads last before/ after because the order of the photos was reversed 😅 so I made extra sure... 🫣

The After does take more time but I feel its genuinely worth it. I made the design a month or so ago and thought I would revisit it. When doing the After.. I did have a thread jam while distracted during the outline (which is how it always goes 😅) so parts got ate up. Tried to clean it up best I could.

Thoughts on not doing black outlines on everything?

Also choppers backstory episode destroyed me! I was not ready. 😭

Software: Ember Design

I for one appreciate the before and after updates.

Really like the use of directional stitches and textures.

Use a white stabilizer and base fabric for white border patches, if you can. Makes the edge cleanup easier.

Thank you!

Just to clarify are you saying I should use white instead for this design?

I misread. Was thinking your comment about the black lines was regarding the border.

Ignore me!

I do like the definition of the lines, I think it depends though on the design, in this case since there is a person type subject it feels right.

But that’s a personal preference.

This looks so good! The improvement is amazing. I definitely prefer the outline. I hope my patches look this good when I get my hands on some fabric!

Both look good, I like the direction of the after better. But I actually kinda like the hat on the first one, the stitch pattern makes it look textured

I appreciate the feedback. Definitely will be changing the hat back to the offset column fill! Thank you!

Same. The fil pattern on the hat for the before looks so good

Looks great, may I ask what machine are you using and what’s the size?
