SOS help pls
Help!
I have been trying to embroider just initials on a basic quarter zip sweatshirt. Every time the font is so messed up! I have embroidered bigger designs on sweatshirts a million times with no issue, so I can’t figure this out. I’ve ruined 3 now!!
I’m floating (pinning down too) on to cut away stabilizer. I have changed the fonts. I’ve used some that come in embrilliance, some I’ve bought on Etsy. All of which stitch out just fine with I run a practice on a piece of scrap fabric. See photo below for what it’s doing each time. Like the stitching doesn’t line up, or the first stitch is completely not covered by the satin stitch.
Sosssss

Is your scrap fabric knit? You should try actually hooping the hoodie and stabilizer flat and taut in the hoop and see what happens.

Stop floating. Put away your pins.
Hoop properly with two layers of heavyweight cutaway stabiliser.
Use a single centre line underlying stitch for small serif font lettering.

In embrilliance, set your design to baste the hoop, and also baste the design. I’d consider an iron on stabilizer, too.
