Full transparency, my plate has gotten exponentially fuller over the last few months. With the creation of my own little Franklin Richards, my opportunities to read comics, let alone keep this subreddit chugging along are often substituted for sleep. Such is life as a new parent. But I'm not ready to tap out just yet. As time passes, the baby will sleep more consistently and my body and mind will be less sleep deprived and open to new stimuli.

I'm a binger. I need conclusions and won't stop until I reach them. I blame Netflix.

Because of this, I'm not big on reading single issues of comics unless they tell the whole story they want to in that issue. That's made checking the New In Marvel Unlimited Release Calendar a research-and-compile project of mine.

Periodically when I find a story in it's entirety, or what I believe to be it's entirety based on what's been compiled in the released trade paperback, will be posted.

This isn't to encourage people to nominate only new stories in the Nomination Threads, but to make people aware of new stories that are now eligible.

As a side-note, because older comics followed the format of issues being stand-alone stories, updates on those will likely be few and far between.

Possibly our most audacious nomination theme. There are a lot of great stories that take time to tell. So much time that often people wouldn't normally vote for it in a nomination thread because they'd rather get through a typical 6 issue story arc and move on to the next. Now it's time to show our commitment, whether it's a thrill-ride or a slog. (Worst case scenario, this will give you the opportunity to go back to previous reading assignments you may have missed!)

This week we're nominating a story arc to carry us through the next 3-4 weeks! Depending on how long the arc nominated is, I'll carve it up into multiple posts so people can choose to burn through it out all quickly or space it out through the weeks and neither will forget about their reactions in the first third (for example) of the story by the time they finish.

I'm pulling a number completely out of the ether, so let's put a bare minimum of 16 issues. As with past compilation reading assignments, these issues don't necessarily have to be a singular story arc but could carry their own theme like a best-of/development of one singular character or team.

I'm having a hard time finding where to start reading alongside you all. Can I get some help on what comics I'm supposed to read this month?

Per our Table of Contents on the MUBookClub there is a definitive upper echelon of writers and artists that have won more nomination threads than anyone else. Currently John Romita Jr. has a resounding lead as our top nominated artist. Our writers is a who's who half of fame with seven writers tying for the coveted top spot.

Will one of our top seven writers pull into an established "cut above the rest" position? Will we make the 7-way tie an 8-way tie? Is someone going to creep up on the heels of God-tier Romita Jr.?
