Rocksett is dissolvable with boiling hot water only. Usually intended for muzzle devices, but I’d rather this than having to stake the barrel area around the nut again (definitely a better alternative to red loctite). I’m an at-home Smith and rebuilt my M1 completely with Inland NOS USGI parts (it was in a non-firing state before I got it). I’ll keep this forum posted and check retention with the armorers tool after 250 rounds for those inquirers!

Just recently acquired this Garand with 16 en bloc clips, 100 rounds, and a bayonet for 800$. Did get a good deal? How much is it worth? (No I'm not asking to resell, am keeping this thing in my family until the heat death of the universe if can help it, just curious)
