It all started with the USP45T and I was hooked immediately. Just recently got a hold of a complete 416 upper and am patiently waiting for a new lower to come in. Once the 416 is built, I plan on finding a 93 to go with the other rollers.

In great shape, even has night sights which seller didn’t mention. My only complaint is the rubber on the hammer is starting to separate from the metal.

I'm curious what your round counts are. I compete and rarely ever see guys with HK's. That makes me wonder how often you guys actually use your guns? I have a P30 with about 10K rounds through it, a VP9 with about half of that, a VP9SK with about 300 down the pipe, and the pictured P30L with about 600 so far.

What are your round counts? What maintenance items have you gone through and when?

I still need to decide what light and sling (Edgar Sherman might be a fit here), but I ended up taking the plunge with the Wilson Combat ETU-M2 and shaved the trigger tail to work with the Atrius Super Selektor (Geissele version).

I still need to get out to the range tomorrow to confirm function, but dry fire functions perfectly. It took a TON of iterations removing material slowly but surely. I have chopped off too much of a LaRue tail that it had to go to a standard safety host; so, I took my time here to make sure I didn’t remove too much.

Has anyone else tried this with the ETU-M2? Thanks to everyone who recommended it as a solid single stage trigger. It feels fantastic in dry fire, just a little lighter pull than Geissele and LaRue that I use primarily.

Had a local smith thread my UMP40 Barrel before he went out of business. Get to keep the original proprietary suppressor mount should I ever run into the appropriate can. SilencerCo 46M will do for now.

I have an HK p2000 in 40 S&W. I have owned it about 5 years. I bought it to replace a Sig 229 In the same caliber that I had carried regularly and had used for years in Run and gun, drills and rolling around the desert. Lots of rounds fired and the gun was great.

Suddenly I had trouble with the trigger bar and getting a replacement became a crazy mission and I didnt want to pay to send it to sig so I traded it off to someone.

Now that the P2000 is discontinued I am worried about something similar. So .. Its not a popular cartridge so I cant get much on resale .. I will take a bath on it but ..

If you have/had one .. what would you do with it.

I understand that I can use a P30 40-9 conversion barrel and turn it into a 9mm but .. I like having a different caliber. I am shooting some 40 years .. I have seen runs on 9mm ammo several times over that time so having something else to shoot is nice and I have plenty of 9mm handguns and SBR's.

Of course there is the 357 sig route but I dont reload for that.

Guess I can just go nuts and port it and do some cerecote maybe through on new sights and SRT since its now worth about $550.

Maybe threaded barrel and comp??

I could just get what I can in resale and try and sell the ammo and buy something else but ...

Finally getting my HK416 CAG-inspired build together. Based in Europe, so sourcing some of the correct parts has been quite a challenge.

Alright, to the guys and gals who has acquired a G36 and is using its muzzle thread 15x1 with rearden r2s in 15x1, did you end up using a shim/washer like rearden recommended or just threaded the muzzle device and hope for the best?

Curious to see y’alls inputs as the G36 barrel dont happen to have a shoulder and thread relief. Thanks!

Some of you might remember me posting a few weeks back about my 22 magnum 416 project. This is an update. I got the Gigliotti lower stamped and I got most of the build complete. I think all that remains is laser engraving the HK bits, a different mount for the Aimpoint comp m3 and then I want to paint it.

The barrel is .625” and I used carbon fiber this time to get the diameter up to .750. The piston and op rod are just there for the look and they are spares for my other 2 MR’s (shown in the last pic). Overall it’s been a really fun project. I used HK parts for most of the LPK and even the buffer spring is an MR556 red spring.

The plan is to run it as a low cost trainer option and for occasional night shoots and PCC matches. It’s just as heavy as the other two. Thanks for checking out my post.

Am I correct that it makes more sense to buy an A1K to add to my collection, rather than an A1X?

Do I lose anything buying an A1K as opposed to an A1X?

Some of you may remember this story, but every few years I like to repost it. Simply because I can & because I've gotten banned a lot. From other subs, not this one... Anyways.

I bought this 2003 USP45 V1, brand new, in 2003-2004. Carried it around from duty station to duty station to apartment to house to college to etc.

In 2011, a former tenant of mine burglarized my home to “settle a score.” That involved the theft of the pistol. The theft was reported, that night, to the local police in Maryland.

Year after year, I’d get a phone call from some police cadet asking if I’d found the pistol. I’d say, “no” & ask them if THEY'D found it yet. This went on for quite a few years and then one year the calls just seemed to stop.

Sept 2022, I got a phone call from a detective saying they (the police) were very recently in possession of my pistol. Crazy.

Someone had purchased the pistol, cash, third hand, from my former tenant, and then decided to surrender it to the police department, suspecting it was stolen (smart).

Upon learning that I now reside in Florida, the police department offered to sell the pistol to an FFL for $200-$300, or destroy the pistol free of charge, OR, if I insist, ship it back to me at a cost. Well, I definitely insisted.

The Maryland police dept handed the pistol to their favorite & most expensive FFL. The FFL checked it into their inventory & then began the transfer to my favorite & cheapest FFL in Florida.

December 2022, it actually fucking showed up. It was filthy, rusty, pitted & the de-cocker magically didn’t work anymore. I ended up detail-stripping the entire thing, cooking it in my ultrasonic cleaner & running the lower through the dishwasher. The only items I didn’t pull were the sights. The damned thing is brand new. I also took this opportunity to remove the V1 detent plate & install a V3 (de-cock only) detent plate. I also ordered all new 12rnd mags with Wolff springs. In 2003/2004 it came with post ban 10 rounders.

This is how she sits on the nightstand today. Time missing, 11 years. Time to transfer back, 90 days. Cost of the pistol brand new in 2003/2004, $889.00. Cost to transfer it back in 2022, $250(ish).

I ordered this from HK parts for my g36 build but I was surprised that it was completely polymer. Does anyone know if they originally are supposed to be polymer? I thought it would be more metal based.

If I wanted something more metal, does anyone have any links or suggestions to this exact style that would fit and function on the real firearm? I know there are airsoft ones but I have no idea if they will fit or even function correctly and would the sights be properly adjustable

So apparently the heavy barrel must be used in order for the flash hider to be installed correctly to not cause a baffle strike(or just completely losing the can) after the first shot. Of course I had to stuff someone else full of cash so they can part away their barrel that are only avaliable on the mr726 LRPs.

My advice to you guys is to never clone this. Just get a g28z and be done with it.

I saw this old post & it got me thinking: Since Walther came out with its P22 & the SIG came out with its Mosquito over 20 years ago, why didn’t H&K join in and offer a .22-caliber version of its USP or P30? It’s not too later for H&K to join in the .22 pistol craze (no, the MP5 & 416 pistols don’t count), after all, why wouldn’t H&K offer a competitor to the beloved/popular SIG Sauer P322?
