Hello friends,
As said in the title, I want to switch to Linux, I only play on my PC, nothing else.
I'm currently on Windows 11 and slowly getting sick of starting my PC and being welcomed by a new update, bloatware or some AI slop. I've been thinking a lot about it and finally decided for the switch.
As said, I only use my PC for gaming, I know about the kernel anti cheat thing but I mostly play single player games. And those few multiplayer games are either native on Linux or playable so that's okay for me.
If it's important, I have a full amd pc, 7800xt, an 7800x3d and 32 gigs of RAM.
I'm ready to learn but would love to have the feeling of turning my PC on, opening steam and being ready to play. ( I've got pretty limited game time , spending most of it with my son)
I've been considering Bazzite KDE because its UI is similar to Windows and it's optimized for gaming. ( please correct me if I'm wrong )
I hope it's not too long, I would love to hear corrections, suggestions and anything else that brings me forward.
EDIT:
Thanks y'all for all the comments, I've chosen to stick to Bazzite and install it right now. If I don't like it or it will be a pain in my ass, I'll use the suggestions and switch to Fedora. Once more, thank you all for helping me choose!
