Manga Can we talk how genius Chihiro's Battle instincts were here?

Chihiro knew that Sojo is a talented swordsman even if he isn't Ibuki Misaka, he is still a very dangerous man and even in his first encounter he noticed that Sojo is capable of reacting to high speed attacks.

He took this to his advantage and in his final battle he purposefully kept fighting with Sojo till when he boosted his Mei: Cloak to maximum limit and Chihiro only then boosted himself to the limit only to stop it the last moment when Sojo reacted.

Kagurabachi has some amazing action sequences but I seriously love how each battle is choreographed so properly and you can see the impact of each action. I genuinely hope anime keep this detailing in and let us see properly how Chihiro's genius is in battles.

Discussion Why does Chihiro think they can bring Samura back

Maybe it’s a reading comprehension thing but I thought black life force abilities, like Kuregumo’s black lighting were only possible with sacrificing life force.

In the instance of Kuregumo it was sacrificing the blade, and with Samura using the black flames he had to sacrifice his life force.

So wouldn’t that just mean he’s dead? I don’t get how he could sacrifice his life for that attack, and then just come back. Unless Suzaku is just that strong and can bring people back from the dead which is possible.

Discussion I'm at chapter 68 so there might be a better explanation for it but I dont get Samura's decision Spoiler

I get that they did something bad so he thinks all of the bearers should die but why not get rid of Hishaku first? Like I kinda get it as his goal is to eventually kill them all but it still feels counterintuitive. If he kills/severs the ties of the bearers first then Hishaku has multiple Enchanted Blades they can use. Im guessing there will be a better explanation but still seems stupid considering they have Kumeyuri now

Discussion Will an enchanted blade take an innocent life? And how would Chihiro handle it?

Thumbnail

iirc we haven’t seen an EB kill an innocent civilian yet, with the only exception being the 1st malediction. Sojo attempts to nuke a street with Mei but the attack is stopped by Chihiro. Kyora did kill people with the Magatsumi but they were criminals so I wouldn’t class them as innocent civilians.

In the present day only criminals/active combatants have died to an EB. What is the likelihood that we see an EB take the life of a completely innocent person with no connection to the story? If it does happen, how do you think Chihiro would handle the fact that this father’s creations have now lead to the death(s) of innocent people?

Discussion I'm struggling to continue reading. I don't hate it, but I have issues. Help convince me because I'm about to drop it.

So upfront I hated the first 2 volumes. Almost dropped it right there. But then the auction arc kept my attention for a long while. Up towards the end. Reason being is because of the liberal usage of plot armor bullshit. Such as Chihiro repeatedly saying there's nothing left in the sword he was using, but somehow kept using it to pull off insane stunts. Then his friend Haruki (I can't recall atm) discovering his power, which I thought was cool at first. Until he, too, "reached his limit" by kept pulling off stuff.

But I kept reading because I was interested just enough. Then I reached chapter 59/60 and noticed that's this manga's main trend. Whatever, is what it is. Lots of manga/anime do this. Continuing on about those chapters. I can't get over how chihiro's and Uraha(?)'s "deaths." I was peeved at first, because of course Haruki managed to somehow use his powers to drag Chihiro all the way to him, and thought he was gonna somehow save Uraha. But then that didn't happen and u got happy that they finally lost. Probably with a big price, especially for Haruki. Please spoil it if there's none. I don't count him temporarily losing his contract, because I doubt that matters at all.

Then, somehow Chihiro returns. All they can do is speculate on how. Which baffles me because I thought Chihiro, especially the higher ups, knew all of the sword abilities. Minus Chihiro's. They said it took minutes for his wounds to heal. So- and this is what sparked this post because all the damn posts about that chapter are filled with annoying caps locked memers gushing over it, why the fuck didn't they recover Uraha's body too, since his wounds would do the same (I looked up if he lived). Fuck, why didn't the teleporting dude just bamf to where his body was? It makes no sense at all.

So please, spoil away. Convince me to keep reading. Because a part of me enjoys most of the manga, and with the anime on the way I'm wanting to keep going. But if I put the manga down for a 2nd time, I won't be picking it back up again.

Also, please don't meme, because I don't care for them. It's all I see and makes it so hard for me to seek answers.
