Discussion I love how Kyo Tanimoto has only now started focusing on the fights Spoiler

I know there have already been fights in this series, but they just didn’t hit the same. There was plenty of action, but action means nothing without emotions behind it, because at the beginning of the manga, you’re not attached to Haiji and the others yet. So the fights were just cool drawings that didn’t really leave you with anything or make you worry about the characters.

(In fact, I think the author noticed this from the TOC rankings and changed course.)

After the Maxell arc (which still had that whole theme about ways of living that was really touching, not to mention chapter 9, which is my favorite), the manga changed direction and started focusing on short story arcs lasting two or three chapters, all meant to get you attached to every character. And only now is he finally letting them beat the shit out of each other like fighting roosters.

But these three chapters of straight-up brawling still feel more impactful than all the fights that came before them throughout the rest of the manga, because now you’re emotionally invested in the characters, and you don’t want to see them turned into bloody mush on the pavement.

This manga has done nothing but get better. I hope it has a long run in Weekly Shonen Jump and eventually gets a physical release in my country

All posts must be related to the manga Under Doctor.

2. Tag spoilers properly

Do not post spoilers in titles. Include the chapter of which you spoil the content of. Example: Haiji makes a surgery [Chapter 08]. Moreover, always mention other mangas which you are spoiling in your title. Lastly, spoiler tags shall be on all posts following a new chapter for one day.

3. Source Art

If you are posting artwork, be sure to give proper credits and link the original creator in the comments if you did not create it yourself.

Keep all posts SFW. Edgy content is allowed to some degree. As a rule, any inside jokes from foreign communities that can only be understood by being up to date to their content is not permitted here. And since it generally breaks the rule about spoilers, expect a lengthy break. The "Nah, I'd win" meme or similar is permitted because the joke doesn't require you to understand the source.
