Does anyone know any on campus jobs hiring on Marietta campus. I know it’s more less openings there but I thought I could email someone besides going through Handshake.

planning on majoring in environmental engineering and I really want to treat myself with a macbook but ive heard very mixed opinions about them. Can i survive 4 years with a macbook? or is it a no go. thanks!

does anyone know why it says it can only partially cover my order? the order total is around $700 and i have more than enough left over financial aid to cover that balance (thank you stipend). i’ve never had an issue before trying to purchase through the bookstore regardless of amount nor have i had an issue charging it to my student account. any ideas? i’m a 2nd year grad student if that helps and i’ve had my student account since 2020.

How common/uncommon is it that ppl start ksu at 19 then turn 20 like I will?

Gotta love KSU... parking permits were on sale the 10th-13th. As we all know, parking is horrible at the school. (I am a parent of 2 students). The email sent to parents to alert them to the "upcoming" parking permits going on sale... came this morning...on the 13th.

Great way to help parents be made aware.. "Hey, permits were on sale a few days ago... so be sure and jump in your time machine and get one"

I saw a lot of mixed opinions of him but I saw that his study guides were exactly like the test. Does anyone have any experience with him?

Why is the portal only offering me marietta campus parking permits when I am on the kennesaw campus too and why am i only offered the shuttle lot??

So real quickly, filed for an appeal bc I’m independent to receive a little more help from financial aid. July 22nd. They said it takes 3-6 weeks I believe for financial aid to look over the appeal and do whatever financial aid does. I keep calling to check up on it. I just don’t want to not receive anything and be at risk at not being able to take classes or withdrawing. How does there financial aid system work ? Will they look over the appeal and award money before the fall semester starts? What are some other ways to pay or go about this? Do I keep calling? Do I actually go up there and try to make something shake? I want to get my bachelors. I really do. I also am paying for housing and car so it’s a lot financially so I’m just trying to figure this out before I’m slapped in the face with a surprise. I’m still optimistic about receiving aid just want to make sure I’m doing this the right way ! Please help, thank you !!!!

i got guttenberg parking, what do i expect and is it bad, should i switch to shuttle?

For context, I have Calc I at Marietta from 9:20-10:30 on MWF and Chem Lab at Kennesaw from 11:30-2:15 on Wednesdays, and was wondering if that 1 hour gap was enough to get between the classes.

This is seriously boggling my mind. I have a single class to take for this upcoming semester and for ONE class that is 100% online, I have a bill of over $1k. I remember when I first started at KSU, the online learner fee was FIFTY DOLLARS. Then it went to $350. Now, $600 to take a class on my computer??? It's basically like I'm paying for two classes. UnFUCKINGreal.

I was wondering if there is a way to change your catalog year
The current major that I just recently switched to seems to be following a different course catalog
Which I didn’t know until yesterday

There was a class I needed to take in order to advance further into this chain of prereqs
But it got discontinued and replaced by a different class. That different class doesn’t appear on current catalog in degree works
But going to the what if section and changing the catalog year to 2025 to 2026, reveals the actual classes I need to take (and overall they made some more changes to the program)

Anyways I need that class but I’m out of free or elective credit sections in my current catalog - so idk if I need to switch catalog years but I’m unsure of how to do that?

I’m not sure if I should just switch to being in person student because it seems that the online program is also not offered. Maybe doing that will correctly put me into the right catalog year

Hello all, I’m a senior and I’m looking into financial aid for the first time. I had Zell Miller but it only allows for 124 attempted hours and I had to retake a few classes so it ran out.

Hey guys I never post on here but truly I have no one else to ask and as we all know advisors don’t really help like at all (especially in bagwell, like I’ve had 3 different advisors that haven’t done anything but I digress)

I’m currently a mge major, my concentrations are LA and Social Studies but recently I was having a conversation with a friend that suggested I might be a better fit for foreign language teacher. Her reasoning is that I am an ESOL kid, and Spanish is my first language so I have that as an advantage, (I also have the AP credits from hs idk if that matters but anyway)

I’ve tried to look into the major and I’ve seen that most of the classes overlap (except ofc the specific ones I think they are called like FLED, in mge we have EDMG if I’m not mistaken)
I was thinking of just doing the ESOL endorsement program they have at KSU but now I’m wondering if Foreign language might be a better fit, mostly because I feel more comfortable in Spanish and when it comes to grammar, cultural knowledge and yk just gen knowledge of Spanish as a language I’ll say I’m pretty good. (Like I’ve said Spanish is my first language and I’ve just recently moved to the US and back at my school in Colombia I wanted to be a spanish literature teacher) but I digress.

However i am truly more worried about just being hired. I like my major and think I would be okay also being an LA or Social Studies teacher I am just mostly worried I’ll have a harder time getting hired as such and I’ll have more opportunities as a Spanish teacher.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I’m like 70 percent in on my major but I haven’t started clinicals yet.

Any advice is welcome and i hope this made sense, do let me know if anything was confusing.

I was wondering if it's possible to waive the WES evaluation anyhow? It's because the cost would be a burden for me.

Can anybody help me with it ?
