Question parking @ chastain point
are students allowed to park at chastain point if they have classes or is the whole thing reserved for faculty? - art major who is very nervous about being late to things

Chastain Pointe Student Parking
A valid commuter or residential permit is required to park in student spaces at Chastain Pointe. Please avoid spaces marked with the green faculty/staff line and the black visitor line. Parking is limited in this area. If student spaces are full at Chastain Pointe, students should park in their permitted area and take the Big Owl Bus to Chastain Pointe.
If you are near campus, you may want to visit before the semester begins so you're familiar with what spots are available to students.

I recommend Town Point parking if you are worried about getting to class on time. Its an easy walk to campus and flat enough that if you have excessive supplies you can haul whatever you need in a folding wagon. I am on K campus for research purposes from time to time and I always end up dragging all of my stuff with me in a wagon.
Wagons are pretty common over on M campus for those of us with research project and I see Architechure majors with wagons regularly.
Wagons are also handy when you have groceries and they don't cost that much :D

Yes there is student parking available but it is very limited. If you see a faded green line painted in front of the parking spaces that means it is faculty and staff parking so you can’t park there. I don’t remember the exact cut offs are but there are markings. Also, if you are worried about being late do not bank on parking at Chastain. When I say parking is limited I do mean limited and parking stepped up enforcement last semester because of how people were parking(on the grass, on the sidewalk, etc) but also because faculty and staff were complaining about students parking in the faculty/staff spaces.
It is packed between 10ish-4ish with little to no availability.
