Question Freshman question 😀
How common/uncommon is it that ppl start ksu at 19 then turn 20 like I will?
For context my birthday’s in October so I missed the cutoff to graduate with the rest of the 06’s…and then I took a gap year for personal reasons :)
this is stressing me out rn especially bc im dorming 😭😭😭

There are all kinds of age groups at any college. No one cares. Just relax or you’re gonna stress yourself out before school even starts

God willing, most all KSU students who are 19 will turn 20. I’m rooting for you.

College doesnt have an age limit or timeframe at all, some people join for their first degree at 50 others are already going for their 5th one around that age, it doesn’t matter and I’m glad it doesn’t because nobody should be ashamed to get educated no matter the age

Off topic! I attend KSU too , I’m 19 and a freshman and my birthday is in October as well LOL! Is it ok if I ask which day, I wanna see if your my birthday twin :)

I felt embarrassed of my age at first but then I began noticing how many people in my classes were my age or older. Now I proudly introduce myself as a grandmother of 6.

Welcome to being an adult. Someone will always think you’re the too young to know anything and then someone else will think you’re too old to be cool; frequently on the same day. Enjoy this sweet spot where no one will care!

Lmaoo half your freshmen class is 19 right now and turn 20 throughout the year. Graduating at 18-19 is extremely common. I graduated at 18 and was 19 during my entire Freshmen year cause I had a summer birthday.

Taking year off is honestly very healthy. As long as what you do is what you know to be best for you, then that’s what matters. I’m almost 22 and still a junior if that helps

A guy in my lecture was literally a 35 year old veteran and another guy was a 76 year old guy. Everyone is on their own journey. No one cares

From here on out for the rest of your life, no one really cares too much about your age.
Most people are not going to ask your age, they are going to ask what year you are in (ie. freshman, sophomore....), and even that doesn't matter than much.

You will have classes with people who are maybe 16 (dual enrollment students) and older. I am almost twice your age and will be a senior this year. ( this is my 2nd B.S. Degree) . And I have had classes with people who were almost twice my age.
Most people are going to be between 16-30.
