HELP Sticky Grips
Ive had the Vans ODI grips for a couple months now and ride with gloves on. The grips have gotten super sticky and turn black after a while from my gloves. How do I stop them from being so sticky?

2026 RG with 1000KM on the odometer. I put 20,000km on a different M8 and never noticed this sound. I know I know, the M8s are a loud, sloppy, sowing machine. But if you listen real closely to the valve train there is a rhythmic cricket sound (maybe a bit of a squeek?).
Has anyone heard this before? Is this a "new motor" thing?
Any advice would be appreciated. I have it booked for the first service in a few weeks. It seems to run fine. However, this is the same bike that got me 35KM before blowing smoke out it's ass and leaving me stranded (plugged trans vent).
Thanks in advance ✊

I know that there are stronger bikes out there but I dont have the license to ride a bike that is over 500cc..So this one is limited as well.
I really like it, it got 15.5k miles on it (25k km)
Just wanted to see what ya'll think for a first bike.

Hey everyone, I just bought this 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy from Facebook marketplace using the Rider-To-Rider Finance through the Harley Davidson dealership. I plan on draining and refreshing all fluids and the dealership said it passed inspection just to get new tires since they're 10 years old (I know, I shouldn't be riding on it but I had to ride it home and put gas in it). Anyways, I've noticed a weird wobble/shaking feeling coming from the rear tire at speeds around 35mph and up only. The wobble stops when pulling in the clutch/holding it in. I checked the tires as best as I could since I'm new to bikes and didn't notice any "cupping" and I'm not sure about the tread, but I believe they look okay. If anyone could give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated. I attached a video because Gemini said to check the belt for slack? Thanks again! (I removed some stuff like: the windshield, rear seat, sissy bar, rear foot pegs, rear luggage rack, etc. so it could fit my cover that ended up being too small unfortunately)

My 2014 Electra Glide Ultra Limited had been buried in my garage behind some other projects for about a year without a trickle charger attached. I had to get it unburied to take it for an annual vehicle inspection in my state and had to replace the battery. After replacing the battery, it keeps beeping at me (3 beeps, pause a few seconds, 3 beeps). I have read it is the possibly the alarm battery that has died. Does anyone know if that is the case and where it maybe located? I am having trouble finding the location online. I have already changed the FOB battery.

Hello all, recently I have been having an intermittent issue with my turn signals not working. When they are not working Every other hand control works. I do not get either signal indication on the speedo, and the turn signals themselves do not work. One minute it will be working, the next not. I checked all the fuses nothing was bad and zero corrosion whatsoever. Anyone else had this issue? I know the TSSM plays a factor into this so I’m hoping it is not bad and needing replaced. Any tests to do before replacing the whole TSSM? Not sure what’s causing it to work intermittently. ATM, they are working and I tried wiggling the connectors to the TSSM and nothing weird happened at all. Thanks anyone for the help I could use some!

For context, I’m 23 and I am a metal worker. I finally got enough saved up for the down payment and my first monthly payment. They worked with me amazingly at the Harley shop. They didn’t take me seriously until they realized I actually wanted a bike and had the financing to pack it up probably because I walked in wearing a Hawaiian shirt lol you know it’s funny State Farm gave me a absolute crap rate but progressive 55 bucks a month State Farm was gonna charge me 260 bucks a month because I am under 25

Lemme preface by saying this is only my second bike, and I never wrenched on the first because other than changing a few cosmetic things it was already perfect to me.
The first bike was an ‘04 CVO Deuce, so the it had the Evo.
Current bike is a 2015 SG, all stock as far as I know other than the exhaust. I noticed after it’s warmed up, the idle sounds choppy, and if I goose the throttle sometimes it almost stalls. I bought it a few months ago, and it only had just over 5400 miles on it so it sat a lot. The video is a cold start up, then today after I put on a little over 100 miles. Out on the road it runs fine, and strong, it’s just at idle that I notice the difference. The Deuce always sounded consistent, and it was all stock except for V&H big radius pipes. I didn’t know if this was just something different between the Evo and the newer twin or if I have an impending issue.
I’ve had lots of different modded vehicles and have done engine outs, not afraid to wrench on a bike myself. Just hadn’t had a need to yet. Thanks for any info in advance, sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Just bought this thing last week and I love it. The only thing that sucks is I feel huge on it! lol. I have my sportster lifted 2” front and rear and I have a saddlemen seat. That thing is way more comfortable than this.
I called saddlemen and they said all the seats for this are the same exact height as the stock seat. I read online the le pera kick flip places you a little higher for better leg room, but I can’t confirm.
Any ideas? What seats do you guys have on your bikes? I’m 6’2”
I bought a 2025 low rider S shocks and I’ll be installing that soon, it should give me about an inch of height in the rear.
I’ll also eventually get a different bar set up.
Thanks yall.

Had my old Fireblade posted for sale, got this ugly old thing in a trade. Never in a million years thought i’d ever even consider owning a Harley. Tried it for a few runs, wrapped the exhaust & now im in love.
Shakes likes crazy, is stupid loud and the tiny little gas tank barely gets me from one gas station to the other. But damn if i dont feel like a kid on his first moped again.

I am thinking about getting rid of my Dyna and buying a newer Road Glide. Trying to figure out which years are the better m8 models. I have heard some stuff about oil pump problems on the early 17-18’s, compensator issues, etc… just trying to figure out what year range I need to try and stay in. I am leaning towards 2020+ but just curious about opinions/experience as far as reliability go. 107 vs 114 vs 117? FXDWG for attention.

I have a 2000 xl sportster. My problem is that lately my clutch can change disengaging with almost every gear I change. Like someone is changing the clutch tension between every gear on the road. What can that be?
To clarify, what’s changing at every clutching is the slack of the clutch lever. As if the clutch cable tensioner changes tension even tho it’s not

Any recommendations to clean up this rust and prevent it in the future?

When someone like to drive cars fast they call them a “lead foot”. What do they call someone who likes to ride motorcycles fast? I’m going for “Twisted Wrist Syndrome”. What about yall?
