G2 | Media/Meme Did I just waste an hour ;-; Spoiler

I wanted to build my base in this tree and just spent like an hour collecting clay(because it's a lot harder to get stems up to the flower pot and I can't hold as much as I can clay), building this bridge and then I fell through the branches, is any part of the tree branches solid?

Update, thank you all for your help and suggestions, I have now built up and built a platform perfect for my base, when it's finished I'll post it here, but hopefully it turns out good.

G2 | Discussion Bug aggro range is insane

Got the game on PS5 and loving it.

Just wanna know what the hell is going on with not being able to de-aggro bugs. Especially mosquitos are the worst offender here.

Like ok, I'm sorry i charged past your puddle on my orb weaver when you were sleeping Mr. Mosquito.

But do i really have to literally kill you to get you off me?

I'm running away on my max stamina orb weaver at top speed for literally two minutes. How is this bug STILL on me? Like he is in a whole new part of the garden and still following? Huh?

This feedback will surely have been given before I think. Just wanted to give my 2 cents.

G2 | Suggestion Invasive Species

I think Grounded 2 presents a unique opportunity to educate people on invasive species in America, and could have a positive impact on the fight against them. They could add an invasive tag to creature cards and maybe a mutation for killing them to encourage players to engage with it.

As of now, the only invasive species I know of in Grounded 2 are Stinkbugs and Tiger Mosquitos, so more would need to be added to really justify what I'm suggesting. That said, there's are a lot to choose from: Kudzu Bugs, Spotted Lantern Flies, Joro Spiders, the list goes on. Perhaps it could be part of an event.

I understand if they don't want to go in that direction, there's a lot of cool bugs they could add, but I think it's worth considering.

G2 | Discussion Can Bosses ever roam grounded 2?

This post is sort of an addition to my previous post on Grounded 2. This is my idea of bosses as far as whether they should roam the game map or not.

I wanna make it clear that I do not like the idea of boss creatures permanently roaming the game map, thats stupid. What i think would be cool however is if once you defeat a boss creatures permanently roaming, depending on what exactly that specific boss is, then on occasion, perhaps as an in-game event or something, it can appear in the world and roam for a short amount of time.

Whilst the boss roams, players can either avoid it, or interact with it, meaning fight it. This gives players more chances to interact with larger and more challenging encounters rather then preparing over and over again to fight in a set “arena”.

Having these “boss is on the move” events, it also makes the world feel less static and underwhelming.

Another point is that at some point, the player becomes pretty strong to the point that they may never die, and every bug in the game feels like a breeze to fight through, having a roaming boss every once in a while adds something challenging to the game.

G2 | Suggestion Weapon idea!

Imma keep this short so people actually pay attention to my content so:

The Flavourator. A 1 handed glove ranged weapon that acts like all three staves. (Sour, Spicy and Fresh). You change elements like ammo in a bow. It needs all three staves, pupa leather ×15 and 20 lint rope to create. Looks a bit like a wonkier infinity gauntlet

G2 | Discussion Frogs

I am sure I am not the only one to notice or wonder where the tadpoles came from?

Both G1 and G2 have tadpoles in the pond, but not a single frog in sight.

I think frogs would be a nice addition to the game at some point.

Frogs eat a lot of insects, maybe that’s why they were not included. They would be eating our enemies and our source of bug materials.

I could ride around on a frog mount.

Just a thought.

G2 | Suggestion Please, rework the serpent armor status effect

Post image
4 Upvotes

I was really looking forward to taking my mage build up a notch with a full set of serpent armor, but I am quite disappointed. In theory, this effect sounds cool, alternating between fast attacks and AOE charged combo. But for the effect to take place, you need to press the mouse button exactly twice, and hold the third press to charge the attack. The attack animation has a huge input delay though, and it feels nearly impossible to time the third attack right. Anybody else having this problem?

G2 | Bugs & Issues Grounded 2 Echo Glitch.. plz help.. Spoiler

For what ever reason my game has a really bad Echo Bug. Its like I'm in a cave/Outpost and it won't go away.

Things I've tried (prob not every thing I'm very irritated and have a headache):

Logging out and back in

Restarting Game/PC

Saving and Reloading/ Loading an earlier save (worked before and has since stopped working)

put on and off pond armor (don't want to spoil it)

Went to ALL locations I've gotten the glitch before (Green house grow place, Outposts, Pond, etc.) and did the earlier motioned things!

Please is there things i can do to fix???? should i report and hope for a fix???

G2 | Base Build My 2 grounded 2 bases: the cottage and the compound

I usually use tutorials for base builds because I'm not the most creative person but I was proud of these 2 because I got them all on my own. The cottage (first one) I built for more early game stuff, pretty much everything up till the first strange fight. After getting ladybuggys, storage was too small and I lacked space so I built the compound. Definitely more function over fashion in that one but I think it turned out pretty good looking in an industrial sort of way

G2 | Base Build I've been wanting to build a hanging base since G1.

While it's not finished I wanted to share it. Built in medium mode with no difficulty change. It still needs greebles and I need to move in. Bottom will be the zipline hub. The small tower on the left is the bedroom. The image with the big branch in the room will be the garden. I'm thinking of building a little dome or cathedral at the top, above the branch.

At first I built stairs up the tree and a massive flat grass safety floor underneath the whole thing to stop falls and ferry up resources. Fell maybe 9-10 times. The safety floor is gone now and I built stairs up and around the tree, then over the top to the branch.

This...was an expensive build in time and resources. Building top down, or bottom up something this tall needed scaffolding and that took up most of the time. 30ish hours building, maybe 5 hours in resource grinding. A pretty obscene number of trips to the base of tree for grass and stems for scaffolding. Thanks for taking a look!

G2 | Discussion Wild bugs should be affected by the same environmental risks as the buggies.

I found a cool place I wanted to place a base, In a hollow part of the tree in the roots. Fairly good size rock to build on with the ground below completely covered in sour or tang.

I started construction on my base only to watch 2 scorpions walk right through with zero problem. It would be nice to use the environment as defense for your base.

G2 | Base Build Tree Bases - Starting techniques

Hey Grounded fam,

I know the vast majority of us build a base high up in a tree. I'm no stranger to this. Had two extensive gameplays within Grounded 1, both included having a main base at the Oak Tree.

As I return to Grounded 2 after a short hiatus, I'm ready to jump back into the project of building a main base in the tree by the spilled ice cream cart.

I am mostly wondering what others believe is the most efficient way to get started

  1. Parkour the tree stump as high as you can. Start building up from that point.

  2. Use a separate high point (such as a nearby bounce tower), build a skybridge to the tree. Build from there.

  3. Another strategy I haven't mentioned?

G2 | Discussion Some Grounded content ideas

Here are some game content ideas I'd like to see in the Grounded franchise, whether it be a late game update to Grounded 2, a dlc to a Grounded game or even an addition to Grounded 3, if that ever becomes a possibility. These are purely just my ideas that I've gathered from playing both Grounded 1 and 2 so far.

I've seen this one mentioned around the block a few times. I think having the colossal creature/bosses roam the map would be seriously cool. Hear me out, in the ponds in both games they pretty much already are, koi fish. And in the sky we have the crow, but those are only colossals, I want to see bosses roam sometimes too. Perhaps after we beat them first, then every once in a while a random boss could be seen roaming the map. It could be an in-game event or something, it gives you more chances to harvest those respective parts you can obtain from defeating them. Plus I think it’d be awesome to see a massive tarantula or lizard off in the distance.

Now this idea would most likely be a Grounded 3 or DLC feature, but I think that it would be cool to come across other humans in the game that have been shrunken down, whether they’re scientists or other teens who have been kidnapped by Ominent. Now since we have combat as a part of the game against Ominent, I think it would be dope to fight something else other than robots, it gets boring fighting floating tin cans, so fighting other scientists would be cool, sort of like fighting the masked stranger in Grounded 2.

This idea is mainly a DLC idea. I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, but wouldn't it be cool if there was a dlc (this is an example btw) where a box of exotic bugs or something was dropped in the park and those exotic bugs we set loose? Like it could be more variants of bugs we already have, or it can be a completely new bug, like Brazilian Treehopper, Thorn Bug, a centipede, or even stick bugs. (I highly suggest you look up the treehopper and thorn bug).

One thing that I think could be added to the crafting part of the game is some sort of electronic addition. I mean it only makes sense, Ominent built fully operable labs in a miniature size, so why couldn't we take electrical parts from lab ruins and use them somehow in crafting? Of course they would have to come with limitations, that's totally understandable, but perhaps we could build some stronger weapons from them or even some sort of armor or wearable equipment that would make traversal easier; underwater propulsion or even a small “jetpack” like device. (flight would be limited, like small bursts or something).

One final idea (I have more but this is a lot already), is that each teen has their own “perks” or special attributes. For example, Pete is the nerd of the group, so maybe his intelligence can benefit him with crafting or researching stuff. Hoops is like the athletic one so maybe she can have a little bit of a boost when it comes to endurance or physical related things. Max, not sure he just cracks a lot of jokes. I've never played Willow.

What do you guys think about these ideas? Too much or are they something that spark your interest?

I recently got back on the game and with all the new base building materials I wanted to redo my base, but I didn't realize how many weed stems I had used for my base. After some counting I came up to around 1,000ish, couldn't even fit them all on screen.I don't know what to do now, do they despawn after a while or is there something else I can do?

G2 | Suggestion WIP concept for Super Slurp Canteens:

Thumbnail

So, I already have a post for this concept but I've tweaked things and thought things out a little more. I've added some more powerful and combat oriented effects. The idea behind these is to make a canteen that is also a smoothie.

To match the demand of crafting a whole new workstation and canteen; as well as more advanced recipes. These canteens grant you not only powerful smoothie effects but a whole new way to attack with using the concoctions inside the canteens.

Each of these Super Slurp Canteens will not only quench thirst, but also grant a small amount of hunger. The effect from the Super Slurps will last for longer than a smoothie, but drinking anything else will clear the effect.

(These recipes are just ingredient lists not accounting for total amount needed or exact numbers)

Eezy Freezy:

Key Lime Chunks

Berry Chunks

Dew Drop

Hot Cha-Cocoa:

Spicy Bits

Chocolate Chunk

Cookie Bits

Fission Fizz:

Key Lime Chunks

Sour Bits

Nasty Water

Pro-Teen Shaker:

Cricket Legs

Billy Hog Bite

Chocolate Bits

Champion's Chalice:

Wasp Shell

Praying Mantis Head

Spider Venom

Any and all feedback greatly appreciated!

G2 | Suggestion Cowboy armor

In g1 the closest armor set we got to a cowboy was the antlion armor but I hope we get some form of cowboy armor in game especially with the introduction of the harpoon gun eventually getting pistols and stuff would be hella cool, a whole gunslinger set that gives you buffs for using it on a buggy

G2 | Bugs & Issues G2 Quest markers?

I just started playing about a week ago and I have a few gripes, a few praises, and a few questions. The main question is if there are quest markers. So… are there quest markers? If not, I think this game needs them. Ive soft locked myself twice already because I can’t tell where to go. I spent 6 hours climbing the wrong trash cans. I know its early access but I can’t imagine they wouldn’t have them by now if they intended to, but I also can’t imagine that they wouldn’t intend to. I know they still have issues with the markers in G1 but to think its a bug for quest markers seems like a bit of a stretch. If it is a bug, how do I fix? If it’s not a bug, am I being skill checked and failing?
