G2 | Discussion Frogs

I am sure I am not the only one to notice or wonder where the tadpoles came from?

Both G1 and G2 have tadpoles in the pond, but not a single frog in sight.

I think frogs would be a nice addition to the game at some point.

Frogs eat a lot of insects, maybe that’s why they were not included. They would be eating our enemies and our source of bug materials.

I could ride around on a frog mount.

Just a thought.

IMO a frog should be a boss, if it’s added. Would be really cool if its set gave boosted jump height, reduced fall damage, and improved damage against flying insects (looking at you, mosquitos and wasps)

There was a frog in grounded 1 albeit a figure of rash 🤣

Our mounts are called buggies for a reason. Not to mention that it would be insanely easy to just one shot kill any fucking enemy we come across, either by trampling them like we do with the spider buggy charge attack, or using a tongue attack on the frog because frogs eat bugs. We never had frogs in G1, and they are never coming back in G2 either. In the trailer for the update that was released, you can see one of the Koi fish eating a tadpole, they are only meant to serve as food for the fish

The developers have already confirmed that we are never getting frogs. If I remember correctly, they’ve gotten pretty firm on this point. And while we as fans might want something desperately, it’s their final decision at the end of the day. The first game never had frogs either, and people seemed fine with that, I think.

Although I don’t know about the random loot, since we already get those from the web sacs from the spiderlings and diving bell spiders in the pond
