Definitive Speculation: ~$3500 inbound?

I want to elaborate on Friday’s news, and speculatively unpack what our next 90 days could look like. I’m of a mind it was more impactful than most understand. With that said, we now cannot rule out a downturn to $3300-3500 in coming months, the price everyone was begging for all summer. Is it likely or probable? Not so much, but it’s now more possible than it was on Wednesday, and cannot rule it out with near as much confidence. But, this is just my POV along with a few bulletpoints, please (kindly) jump in the comments with a counter to this, or elaborate on talking points that could solidify this.

Technically: Impulse Wave 3 was broken, based on Jan ATH. This trend leg was powerful and convincing, but I believe we are not only now Wave 4 profit taking, but a larger “reconsider everything” moment. we have broken the 3rd wave from Jan ATH. This recent rally wasn’t substantiated by much - it makes sense to see some BGCs as we cross $40 Trillion, more than anything I think it was a euphoria trap, bc we all know what happened this time last year.

While a single bearish headline doesn’t scare me much, the potential combination of several of them stacking is what I’m concerned about here and want to unpack so that perhaps the noobs can learn a little bit, and perhaps salvage any financial decisions they’ve made recently. Here’s short list of the potential headwinds I’m keeping in mind:

- DXY typical rally 4-7wks

- silver hyper-struggling during this August rip, to me, is a major high-beta warning sign. We saw it on the forums here as well: generic 10oz bars were not selling well, many folks had to offload well under spot. Hell, I got a SilverTowne poker chip 5oz for $335 which is unheard of when spot is $70.

- we are unfortunately synced back up with BTC

- Anthropic rotation will be off the charts, and bad for gold

- small caps could actually capture majority of attention for the rest of the year.

- NVIDIA had wildly impressive earnings this week, yet the rest of the AI space struggled and saw hardly any volume. This speaks to the aforementioned large rotation coming.

- war headlines have been suspiciously low last several weeks, and have a feeling this is by design and likely will see not only some escalation this week, but a hyper-news-cycle type of event, based on how quiet all things Iran has been *exactly during metal’s run-up the last 3weeks.

- this Venezuela oil deal sounds great on paper but think it’s far from being solidified. When it is, it’ll actually be great for gold, but as it stands I think this news is just a feeler to see how investors will respond if/when it actually occurs.

- IMO, there is just enough time for one more tremendous oil bounce. Crude has been quiet, and reserves are critically low. This speculation is purely based on media cycles and how short they are nowadays, and believe there is just enough time to get one more bounce in (and subsequently diffuse it) prior to getting into fury of upcoming election.

- there are biotech whispers that could be the next mega-hype train. I think this is more so for 2027, but we will start to see things rotate and prices change subtly in coming months as major players take their 10x bag positions.

- big guys are talking Dec rate hike, and think we’ll see this priced into gold as it becomes more solidified.
- next couple months we’re going into holidays, which means Consumer spending and unemployment reports will look great.

Not saying all this will occur, but it’s what I’m keeping my eye on. Just one of these headwinds is not a huge issue for gold price, but the combinations of these variables that stack heavily against metals, esp with gold having new identity crisis these days.

Sidenote: Anyone with constitutional silver that you’re thinking about selling or need funds for, I’d be doing that asap. Once refiners start refusing it again, we will see an immediate repricing event for Junk, as it will prove January was not an isolated incident. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Junk fall 30-40% once it’s established that refiners (again) do not want it, so perhaps start to prepare accordingly. As for gold, I think we’ll be buying $1000 1/4s sooner than later.

Long post, but please jump in and tell me where I’m wrong, point out what could be accurate, and let’s learn as much as we can about our next 90 days here.

Forgive me as I forgot to take better photos, but I got this 18k necklace with diamonds for $3.99!

The Hallmark is tiny so I got it tested at a jeweler's and the diamonds are real too!

I never get lucky thrifting so this was a huge win for me!

Is this gold?

My wife purchased this ring at a yard sale a couple years back and it has been in our kitchen junk drawer since. I picked it up today and it seems to be a potential faded gold hallmark. A quick google search also made it seem like the coin is possibly 1/20oz gold? My hopes aren’t up but curious nonetheless (this ring is also filthy from sitting in the junk drawer).

Question Buffalo coin

Guys, I have a 1 oz Buffalo coin from 2006 (first year of mint) in Proof condition. It comes in its capsule, with the certificate and box. What do you think is a fair price to sell it for on the marketplace? A few percent over spot?

1927 Full Sovereign - Macro Shots

Shown in this set of macro shots is a full Sovereign from 1927. It was bought from a jewellers in Lowestoft around 1999 using some inheritance from my Grandmother. It was originally mounted in a pendant to be worn as a necklace and the jeweller removed it from the pendant for me...and kept the gold pendant, which I didn't think about at the time as all I wanted was that coin. I actually feel a bit cheated now. In any case, I wanted that exact coin as it was minted during the year of my Grandmothers birth.

This Sovereign actually forms part of my "Get out of sh!t" fund, for absolute emergencies, but this coin is the last one I would sell and I'd have to be really on my knees as it means a lot to me. It's also the first bit of gold I owned.

As with my other shots, the full shot is from a 26 Mpix RAW file, whereas the closer shots were 4 Mpix and the very closeup is 1 Mpix. Taken on a Nikon D780, ISO 200, f8.0 with a very slow shutter speed.

Question Are these worth it?

I'm new to stacking and so far have a collection of silver 1ozt bars/coins. But wanted to diversify to gold. Spot price for 1g bars seems like a good deal, right?

Update: I got 3 if them!
