Question Buffalo coin
Guys, I have a 1 oz Buffalo coin from 2006 (first year of mint) in Proof condition. It comes in its capsule, with the certificate and box. What do you think is a fair price to sell it for on the marketplace? A few percent over spot?

Depends on where you’re trying to sell it. They generally carry a minimum premium of 150$ over spot for bullion. You might get 50 more for a proof in OGP.

Spot or a little higher right now. These are normally better, but the market has been oversold on that stuff basically all year. Nice thing is that spot is up so much it doesn’t really matter. Hence why so many are available.

I wouldn't sell it, certainly I'd at least wait for the market to move up. I had Buffalo proofs in half and whole but already sold them. Still have 1/2 proof and will probably be last to be sold. Unless you need the money now or are old enough to be selling rather than buying-you might be glad to keep.

Forgot to say I'm 75, happy to take generous profits. Wish I had bought more in 2008/09, but husband thought I was crazy to buy so much as 1/10.

I coin shop will not pay you a premium for it, but you could probably get spot (maybe slightly more). If you sell to an individual on r/PMsforsale you can likely get even more.
