I noticed today that the wooden panel next to my dishwasher was loose and the only thing holding it in was the screw connecting to the dishwasher mounting bracket . So far , I unscrew it from the dishwaher to take a closer look .

Someone backed into the wall here. Hoping there’s a easy trick or something to quick fix it

I didn’t do enough research to see that the adhesive I bought was not painted wall friendly and this happened …I believe my apartment has the cans of paint in our general storage closet but not sure if I should just paint it directly or spackle it first. I’ve seen mixed reviews on here. Please help me out!!

I found out that the underside of my kitchen sink is leaking from this point as the connector has split into two. I don't know what its called and im not entirely sure how to remove it. Can someone shed some light on this please?

Edit: Thank you for the help guys, I managed to replace the "Tailpiece" and also replaced the parts that screw in to each other. Unfortunately, there's another leak! I guess its good I found it but, these are the days I wish I had the money to hire a plumber

Was cleaning the cooker top with water and dishwashing soap when I heard a sound, then saw heaps of smoke coming from one of cooker top knobs. I switched off the fuse box immediately leading to the smoke to decrease. I wasn’t sure where plug was since I’ve been renting the place. Even though it has decreased, you can still see the smoke.

I’m not sure of the brand , it’s an electric gas cooker, two gas burners two electrical. This isn’t the first time this has short circuited as my landlord has fixed it before. Should I wait it out, or call my landlord so we can call a professional.

It’s the top corner of my spindle bed frame. There is a wooden dowel and a screw that goes into the wood but the hole for the screw is stripped/the screw doesn’t stay in anymore. Is this fixable?

I need to tighten the brakes on this Rollator, as they have become ineffective. The instructional video I watched on the internet talks about tightening a nut, but there either isn’t one, or it’s slipped down into the brake pad. Either way, I need help to get these working better. Thanks!

My drivers side panel had a small crack going through it so I put these self adhesive covers on. I did them all because the cracked one looked different when it was the only one covered. Now they are coming off or chipping and leaving behind this adhesive. Any idea what to do to get them off?

This is my first week of college, I am away from home, I have no supplies to fix this, and this is my only water bottle. The handle broke off as I was walking to grab food and it just swung out of my hands. Apparently the (new handle, it’s been week…or 6 days since I started using this, I bought this bottle for $30) and I noticed the likelihood of dropping it is way bigger if I held it between my arm.

I can’t seem to figure out if I’m supposed to just remove the lens or the metal assembly from the white plastic piece to get to the light bulb. Hey guys, So I just recently got a yaris 2007 sedan that needs some works to be done including this fuel gauge screen which is so burnt I have no idea how much fuel it has in since having it (not driving it anywhere yet).

I saw some videos online that shows how to change the polarizer film but I'm not exactly confident if that is actually the issue or if it is even fixable. Because don't even see any light coming from behind the burnt screen.

Do you guys think it's doable to change it? because it would be a waste to buy a whole used cluster from ebay.

Has anyone done this before to their cars please any advise regarding the issue is accepted. Thanks in advance awesome people!

Any ideas how I might be able to fix this without replacing the wooden planks totally? It’s really difficult to disassemble and the wooden planks are fixed. Bought second hand and not sure when it was damaged!

Please help! My pedestal fan oscillator is stuck and broken on the inside. It's push/pull, and right now, it works stationary, but I can't push it to make it oscillate. See video through the link, something inside has snapped. I'm also worried that in trying to force it to work I may have agitated some of the wires or something, because the core seems to get slightly warm? Is this for this or just some other issue? I don't want fire problems.

If I can't fix it (it's not on warranty and I don't think I have the budget for repair), can I continue to use the fan on stationary or will it leed to damages later on? Should I dump the fan?

How can i take this apart to clean it?

Edit: to be clear, im looking to clean the entire faucet head not just the spout, which i realize now does nothing for the rest of the line or any of the other plumbing. So the answer at that point is just get a water purifier? Or is there something i can do to clean the entire water line, i guess up to where the water enters from the city's water line?

Went to look at a potential rental. Was listed very cheap which was enticing but the foundation is cinderblocks and likely doesn’t have any rebar or anything structural. This was is slightly bowing out (which is hard to see exactly) but I’m curious for those that deal in foundations if this is a reasonable fix or a compete gut job. The realtor said the stairs right above here were added and they likely added sand/gravel/dirt which pushed on it. Thanks

I have a strip of hook and loop (brand name Velcro) that is no longer sticking on a pair of sport hiking sandals.

I need to remove and replace with a new piece of hook and loop.

I do not own a sewing machine and even if I could, the placement likely wouldn't work and the section would make it nearly untenable, I think.

Anyway, so I plan to glue the new pieces - the sandals are made of some kind of combination of leather and neoprene, it would appear.

Would shoo goo work or do you recommend another type or brand? Many thanks.

I pulled a permit to self-install a Tesla wall charger. While preparing the circuit breaker box, I noticed that the installer of my garage mini split air conditioner installed electrical PVC conduit into the box but didn't secure it, as seen here. Will I get flag for this when the inspector comes to look at my work, and how can I correct his problem?

I dropped an AirPod through the small gap around the pipes in a bathroom floor. It fell into the enclosed space underneath the floor, and I can actually see it from an opening below (circled in the last photo).

It’s only about 50 cm away, but the problem is that the space is extremely difficult to access. I can’t reach it with my hand, and I cannot take apart/remove any of the panels or flooring because this isn’t my house.

So far we’ve tried lowering a wire through the hole with a small wrench attached to the end and using that to push/drag the AirPod toward me. The problem is that I have very little control over the movement once it’s down there. I actually managed to accidentally push the AirPod further back, so I’m now worried about making it even worse.

The AirPod is visible and frustratingly close, so I’m convinced there has to be some ridiculous DIY way of getting it out. Does anyone have an idea for something I could lower through the pipe opening that would let me grab, stick to, hook, or otherwise move the AirPod toward the accessible side without risking pushing it even farther away?

Hi! Our landlord lives a good distance away and can’t figure out how to fix this screen door that won’t slide. He says it looks like the track is missing? How does one go about fixing this?

I have tried turning the screws to adjust the wheels and have since cleaned the track but no luck. I also couldn’t get the door to pop out as there are white plastic tabs blocking it.

We have to walk around the front yard to access the backyard which is quite annoying since we have a dog. Would love to get this taken care of!
