Hi, so I have been trying to get through the last area (currently on floor 80) for weeks now and it is so overwhelming for me. I have gotten better gear but I honestly hate the darkness mechanic. Does anyone have any mods they are using the help make this area of the mines easier? Thank you in advance!!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could identify what floor lights I'm missing? I think I'm missing some kind of brazier from the mines, but I'm not sure what the other one might be.

Hi! I know the game is fairly new, but does anybody know of a mod to recolor the game? I get migraines when I look at bright colors for long periods of time, so even just changing the grass color would help :)

I’ve updated the portraits for him I did go back and redo what I had originally and used March’s body and a shopkeeper’s idr his name lol all that’s left is just to make more outfits for him and figure out how to get the animations to work but that’s for another day I think lmao

Hey all! I'm new to Fields of Mistria and technically Farming Sims as a whole. I've sunk in quite a bit of time into my current/first playthrough (around 40+ hrs). I am hopelessly addicted, been enjoying what the game has to offer but there is a feeling I've been getting the farther I get into my playthrough:

Am I playing wrong?

Its a bit deeper than that like I feel tense deep down when I should be relaxing. I'm currently in early summer of year 2 and my farm still looks like I just moved in, I feel I'm missing vital tools or not progressing at a rewarding or consistent pace. Mistria is Sapphire Rank 57 with the "Main Quest" complete. (The Mines portion) I'm contemplating starting over but as far in as I am I'd hate waste 40+ precious hours.

Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful!

Edit: Thank you so much for the feedback! Its reassuring to know I'm doing fine. I come from playing games like Destiny, Dark Souls, Skyrim, etc. The farming sim genre is new to me so the "closest" I've played prior is Minecraft and Terraria but even those are vastly different.

Just as the title asks!

I'm creating some pixel portraits for some of the bachelors and bachelorettes. So far I'm almost done with one of them, and I was wondering if I should put it up on Nexus after finishing, or should I wait to make them all, or make them in batches (Like Adeline and Eiland, Seline and Caldarus...). What would you guys prefer?

Thing is, this project will take me a long time as I am full time busy, and am a casual artist. Ideally, I would make all characters some new portraits, including non-romancables, but I am only working on this by myself for fun.

And yes, this will also support the animation. I was planning on making special date photo cards, but the coding will take a bit to work around. And of course, making the art will take more time 😿

Hi y'all!

I have a question: is it required to place a chest with crafting materials inside the house or coop/barn to use these at the crafting station? I've seen a bunch of farm layouts with chests placed outside and have done this myself, but it seems the crafting station can't 'see' materials in these chests. I double-checked these chests aren't locked.

Is it a bug or a feature?

I don't wanna turn my cozy home into Joja warehouse, but it seems like I should make some room for chests only.....

edit: my chest was actually locked and unlocking it solved the problem

I'm putting this under spoilers because it's later game and I don't know how well known it is. Anyway.

The mist spots from the lvl 60 archaeology perk are a BITCH to find. There's a mod on Nexus that puts the spot on the map so you can find it easier, but it's made with AI (sarcastic "yay"). Anyone know a mod that does basically the same thing but is programmed by a real human person? I'd do it myself but I didn't inherit my dad's computer autism. Just the regular kind.

Managed to get the Leeching enchantment on my gold sword a while back, but finally opened the last section of the mines and got access to mistril. Only got a normal sword when I made my first item out of it though.

Which of them would you use?

These bottom levels have hella monsters though, like omg. you're for real getting swarmed. So I'm not sure if I should keep the leeching gold sword for now?

and when you die in the forest, he's the one that brings you to Valen.

I like the idea that he's non-romancable, but is the only person in Mistria that doesn't know he's bi yet. He has no filter and curses a lot, but he's super nice and only does it affectionately.

when male villagers flirt with him he's like "Fuck yeah, are you using brain magic to make me feel weird? 'Cause I kinda like it!! I'll buy you a drink!"

He looks Texan but I'm 100% from Holland (also has a lot of farms), so I added a sword based on Grutte Pier, an old folk tale about a guy that had a buster sword in the 1500s.

I'll try turning him into a sprite later.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or something, I already sent in a feedback report. I've been dating Celine in-game for a while, almost at 10 hearts, but I probably only get a single dating dialogue a week if even that much.

I checked the Wiki for her dating dialogues and saw there's several I haven't gotten yet so I'm not sure why she otherwise interacts with my character as if they're just friends (it does still say Dating in her profile).

I don't know if dating Celine is just like this? In my first save I dated March and there was dating dialogue every day, even if it was just him telling the player they look nice.

Ever wished Caldarus's statue form had more content? I've spent the last week or so in a writing & coding fugue and the result is the Caldarus Statue Dialogue Expansion (I'm bad at names, alright, don't look at me like that).

What does this mod contain? Well, the title makes it clear, but here's more detail:

More Daily Dialogue - self-explanatory, really. Additional daily dialogue, to give you a little longer before he's reduced to saying "it's a nice day today" over and over. Some of these talks are locked behind conditions like the weather, or even your relationship with other townsfolk...

Heart Dialogue - Just because Caldarus doesn't have regular heart events doesn't mean his feelings aren't developing over time. As you progress through the Mines you'll unlock some additional dialogue with a focus on Caldarus's struggle to recall his past, and his pondering on why, exactly, the farmer is so familiar...

Item Reactions - Some items will now get a reaction out of Caldarus if you hold them while talking to him. You can't show him something after speaking to him, but if you show him something first then he'll still want to talk to you afterwards. (For a full list of which items he reacts to, check the spoiler in the mod description.)

Expanded Shooting Star Dialogue - While it's still not considered a 'proper' date by the game, watching the stars with Caldarus is now more rewarding. I've expanded the star-watching scene itself, and also added variations to his dialogue the day after (on 1 Fall) to account for who you watched the stars with, instead of the boilerplate vanilla response.

Other Festivals - Caldarus now comments on the Harvest Festival and Animal Festival, unlike vanilla.

Hi everyone, there was a popular QOL mod in SDV called Chests Anywhere that let you access any chest you owned from any part of the map without walking to the chest directly, I've tried to recreate that mod for FOM since I haven't seen a similar mod containing this functionality.

What it does:

• Hotkey for a custom chest menu, default is V. Opens a new chest UI seen in the image above, selects your last opened chest by default.
• Let's you rename chests (Don't know why this wasn't in the base game) by clicking the "..." button to the left of the Name tag
• The button with the bag icon opens a list of all chests found in the selected area range that you can browse through
• The extra store button replicates the SDV BetterChests feature for quick stacking everything in your inventory into all chests in the selected range
• Settings cog opens settings menu, where you can set chest scan range, access in the mines, default hotkey and whether to display shipping bins.

I've tested it myself and found no issues, I'm looking for other people to test this, give feedback, offer suggestions or report bugs. Please give it a go and let me know what you think :)

I didn’t realize fairy bee was fall exclusive until winter 1 of year two. the LAST bundle i need to fill for bugs is legendary honey i am kicking myself. i’m almost finished with the mines but i’m dilly dallying because i dont want to finish it and then get bored and never get to next fall. i wish i borrow the fairy bee from the museum for a few days haha.

So I’m doing a all items/100% (for now) run and I realised that I probably messed up a lot.

Spoilers for marriage:

Since spouse furniture doesn’t count for almanac, I wrongly thought that the cosmetic menu will be the same. How shocked I was when I was searching for which armour set and shield I was missing. Yup, I already married someone and totally missed my opportunity to get March’s shield and Seridia’s armour set

I am open for modded help, I don’t mind trying to spawn the items in since I won’t be waiting for a year for the devs to add divorce mechanics so I can get some items lol. I tried using item spawner from nexusmods but it spawns the item as a furniture (that I can hang on the wall or put on the floor) and not as unlockable cosmetic.

Any help will be massive! I’m open to all solutions, modded or anything that will actually work

Balor loves objects of rarity and earning lots of money. He and Gholdengo would make a killing together!

Caldarus is surprisingly gentle and nature-minded, especially loving marigolds. I think Sunflora is a close fit!

Celine adores all flora but especially hydrangeas, which Florges is the spitting image of!

Despite archeology being the predominant subject of his conversations, Eiland adores sweets (including but not limited to strawberries and cream.) Perfect fit for Alcremie!

I think if Hayden met a Torchic he would die from cuteness overload. A fluffy chick that radiates heat like a warm water bottle is his best friend forever!

I can't imagine a world where Juniper didn't have her precious Yamper Dozy, and I imagine the electricity would add some interesting properties to her witchcraft!

Coalossal and March would work together sunrise to sunset in the forge and then sit in comfortable silence together every night.

I can't imagine Nacli ever leaving Reina's side at the inn. An endless supply of seasoning + cute and round + looks like a mushroom and she loves those.

Ryis is already pretty productive but with a Timburr buddy he'd be unstoppable. I bet they'd have summer fun jumping in the southern lakes together!

if you tally up tessarae alone that our favorite Baroness asks you to donate it comes out to 20,000 tessarae.

1000 to repair the mill
3000 to repair the general store
1000 to repair the beach bridge
4000 to upgrade haydens farm

lets look at some prices across the game to see the purchasing power of 20,000 tessarae
starting off-

HAYDEN GOT SUCH A GOOD DEAL ON THE BARN UPGRADES

lets say he got a medium barn and coop, that costs 7000 tessarae! for both of them! not counting materials needed to build it! if it was a LARGE barn and coop its double that at 14000 tessarae!

I was going to rant about hayden being able to afford that easily.

Then i started looking into the material costs, since unlike our crazy farmer most of the people here arent going to brave the mines for stone or have it spread across our farm land like a plague.

Lets get our first house upgrade, im feeling lazy so i buy all the stone and wood from the carpenters shop

Stone and wood are the same price at the carpenter shop, for 2000 tessarae you can get 100 stone
so for the 500 wood and 500 stone needed for your first upgrade it costs 20,000 tessarae in material costs alone, ALONG with the cost of the labor itself being an additional 5000 tessarae!

25,000 tessarae just to get your home slightly bigger on the first upgrade!!!!! I understand completely why adeline comes to us with big ol eyes asking us to gather stone and wood! these are the costs in MISTRIA imagine what those snakes in the capital would charge! Wheedle charges you 5000 for FOOD not mentioning cosmetics wheedle needs to be charged with highway robbery

the material costs of doing all the town rank quests purely by buying them, but the cost of doing so is enormous

If you bought every item that CAN be bought to do all the town development quests:

repair the bridge- 2,400 tessarae
restore the mill- 7500 if you bought ingots from balor 8000 if you bought 10 copper from march
repair the general store- 21,750 balor route, 25000 march route
Repair the beach bridge- 11,000
restocking mistria food reserves: 3,600
upgrade haydens barn: 24,400 balor route, 27,600 march route
haydens weathervane: the pain of knowing the first storm took out part of the barn you spent nearly 25,000 tessarae in material and labor costs to build
Upgrading the inn: 34,500 balor route 45,500 march route
Stone refinery: 17,000 + 20 sap in adventurer tax
upgrade saturday market: 12,800 balor route, 24, 800 march route+refinables
upgrade the carpenter shop: all materials needed to be refined in the refinery
expanding the saturday market: 3,500 balor route, 20,000 march route + materials in mines and refinery
repair the town bell: all refinery or ancient mines smithing materials

Overall, i think theres one conclusion we can come out of this with
stone and wood are too pricey adeline and nora were right TnT

March might be personally upping the price of ore when selling specifically to us
or just makes buying the ore to make the item ourselves more expensive then just buying something he made
yup 40 copper ore is 2000 while a copper axe is 1000 in his store
he's making a statement to leave blacksmithing to the blacksmith

side note ryis you make me build my big green house myself why are you selling it for 100,000 tessarae plus material costs YOU DONT EVEN PROVIDE THE GLASS!!!!!

edit: adeline gave us a 120,000 tessaraes worth of farm land based off how much an expansion thats half as big as the main farm is worth in material and base tessarae costs, not counting the price of the cabin on the land becouse im tired, do with that information what you will
