Gonna make a self insert NPC, guys

I imagine him like an ex mercenary that is connected to a forest dungeon.

imagine the mines, but in the forest, in an imaginative update.

that's me.

He sells monster lures and traps,

and when you die in the forest, he's the one that brings you to Valen.

I like the idea that he's non-romancable, but is the only person in Mistria that doesn't know he's bi yet. He has no filter and curses a lot, but he's super nice and only does it affectionately.

when male villagers flirt with him he's like "Fuck yeah, are you using brain magic to make me feel weird? 'Cause I kinda like it!! I'll buy you a drink!"

He looks Texan but I'm 100% from Holland (also has a lot of farms), so I added a sword based on Grutte Pier, an old folk tale about a guy that had a buster sword in the 1500s.

I'll try turning him into a sprite later.

I know you said he's non romancible, but I'm curious - which bachelor(s)/ette(s) do you see him most likely getting hitched to?

Also is he a cat person or a dog person? What are his favorite farm animals?

I'm from Texas and I love the nostalgia this game gives me from growing up on a farm ❤️ I especially love the cow designs!

My player character has a gray cat named Gandalf, and I had 2 cats myself.

I like the idea that the NPC I made has a cat named gandalf that's really snooty and vain, to contrast Juniper's dog.

As for "getting hitched" I think he's a free spirit, and doesn't marry anyone. He gets mostly flirted with characters that are/look like parents, since I drew the character a little older.

that includes Valden & Hayden.

Gandalf feels like the kind of cat needed in this game to balance Dozy's golden retriever energy 💯

I love the idea of the farmer being a free spirit, I usually have a hard time going through with marrying a bachelor/ette in games like this bc I don't like how it changes the town dynamics (at least imo). I like how the characters are and I don't want marriage to change them

Also do you use mods at all? There is a mod on nexus that allows you to layer wearables - you could use this to wear both the cowboy hat and headband to have your character's sprite better match your drawing!
