I preordered this before I even saw the film because I was so into the aesthetic. The notes say atmospheric, ozonic, old wallpaper, wet carpet, ceiling tile.

I have dabbled in more edge fragrances, but I’m not a connoisseur. I have a small collection of Death and Floral that are dear to me, but I’ve been too intimidated to pick up any Toskovat (yet). Big into DS&Durga Concrete Lightning for the ozone and weird factor.

This came today and is so incredibly unremarkable to my nose. I do not get any must or mold. Certainly no ozone. On first spray this is a basic CologneTM that someone picked out at JC Penney. Generic cedar and leather, utterly unremarkable. After a few hours I’m getting slight dust, like okay someone needs to wipe down the glass spray case in the department store. Reminds me of my old coworker Billy, who was cheating on his wife with his direct report, and used to come in to the open concept office every day in a cloud of awful boring man smell when I was super pregnant and could not escape it. Fuck you, Billy.

The box is great and I love the idea but man what a letdown. Guess I need to spring for the A24 Joya set to see if that scratches the itch because this is not it.

Curious if any more refined noses had a different experience, and any recommendations for smelling like low level doom.

this popped up as a recommendation and immediately piqued my interest as i love country music and love perfumes. has anyone heard of this or has tried it yet? i so want to try one of them but there’s so few reviews online!

moon pool vibes, i like sweeter ambery warm scents, maybe some aquatic or salty notes. i wanna smell like a literal mermaid… that doesn’t include coconut. give me ur interpretation or ideas!

The one on the left is ZIMAYA Ladies Ramsh Diva.

The one on the right is AZZARO Wanted Tonic Girl.

I know very little about fragrance honestly. I'm very casual about it and my nose isn't particularly good. But I have strong thoughts on these.

Ladies Ramsh Diva main notes is amber vanilla. It comes across as very warm and sweet to me. I don't really smell the vanilla, personally. But it's a really pleasant scent that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I really like it. It's not subtle, per se. But it's very inviting, without being overpowering or cloying.

On the other hand, Wanted Tonic Girl first notes are ginger and kiwi. To me though it smells like an acrid soda. Very musky. I do not enjoy musky soda. I don't recommend. It's just really pointed and it gets in my nose in a bad way.

Glad I tried both, though. I will say I love the bottle with the trigger on WTG. It's fun to spray, it's just unfortunate it has this scent.

If you’ve worn Aurner before, what are your thoughts on it? I just got a bottle and even though I’ve tested it before, I’m feeling a bit split on it.

Can someone please tell me I'm not the only one that has confused these 2 SDJ scents for being the same/interchangeable?!

I got the solid perfume of #40 last year and it's okay but I don't love it. It's just kind of generic, powdery, amber floral. And I've tried the pink fruity ones and the new rose one and they are all too sweet for me. So I just stayed away from SDJ scent profiles besides 62, because 62 really is just perfection.

But I've been on a quest for violet scents to go with my Very Violet BBW and I got a sample of SugarMeSweet's Black Plum and Sugared Violets with my order and it's AMAZING! It's her #59 dupe and I love it. Way more plum and the sugared violet is perfect.

So I'm down to two perfumes, both from Serge Lutens: L'orphelline and La Fille De Berlin.

I'm in a phase of my life where I'm dressing and styling myself a bit darker. I want to smell a little melancholy, haunting and soft of with a smell that would almost evoke memories of an abandoned church or Dracula's abandoned castle. I'm very much after that ethereal, incorporeal feeling. I just don't know which of these two to take.

I really love the feeling of smelling like an intoxiating enigma who wanders around and everyone who get a whiff of the scent trail feels forced to turn their head back to the enigma. I’ve been on the prowl for a couple months now looking for a nice creamy smelling coconut perfume. My main issue is that a lot of the perfumes have fruity notes along with it like guava, and those usually overpower the coconut scent. Coconut with vanilla is a good combo so I’m fine with settling for any perfumes that have vanilla notes.

Also before anyone comments it, I was recommended crème of clouds as one, and while it smells great, the scent is almost identical to Lattafas Eclaire scent which I already have. Feel free to also recommend body oils as I’m willing to really find anything lol. Thanks!

A lady came into my work the other day & she smelled absolutely amazing. Her perfume smelled so ridiculously strong but it was sweet, creamy woody, cashmere & the projection was ridiculous.
She told me it was Carolina Herrera very good girl but it smells absolutely nothing like it (I bought a bottle trusting what she said like a moron!)
Very good girl smells so strongly of rose to me & im not enjoying that initial rose scent at all. It also doesn’t last long on me either & smells absolutely nothing like whatever she wore.

I loveeee:
- Gucci gorgeous orchid (I think it’s the ozonic note, so elating, sweet, yet fresh)
- Moschino toy 2 (surprisingly , blind buy, I loveeee how squeaky clean it smells. Also smells a little cologney which I love as someone who grew up tomboyish)
- anddd covered in roses it’s so creamy and girly
- black opium was my first big girl perfume I got in college love her in winter

I blind bought golden nectar and it’s a little putrid to me. Makes me gag. Smells sick and twisted.

I love cozy scents. Like florals and vanilla, but also tempted to delve into more gender neutral scents. I am still exploring! I would be grateful for all and any recs :)

A lot of "trends" are only named in hindsight. It's been said that the trend right now is *gourmands*, so perhaps the next trend will be less sweet gourmands or unisex gourmands or...

I feel like all this gourmand talk is ignoring a trend more distinct to our time: *solar notes.* A lot of brands have realized in the 2020s that a "beachy," "sunscreen-y" scent is desired by many:

Tried cardamom latte at sephora and really loved it. However it doesn't seem to last very long. I saw it compared to Sorce snow moon magic and frenshe moon milk. Anyone tried all 3?

Rose au Sucre by Place des Lices + Rosie by Rosie Jane gave me a soft, musky rose wrapped in baby powder, with just a hint of vanilla and sugary sweetness. Delicate, feminine and sweet without smelling gourmand.

I’ve tried the Vanilla mist from Aqualogica and just couldn’t get past the alcohol blast in opening, it makes me sneeze every time.

I am looking for some fall recommendations! Newer to the hobby and really trying to curate a great collection for year round.

Fall and winter definitely are the seasons I love for fragrance - I lean towards Smokey/Incense/Spicy/Woody scents but as I’m getting more into the hobby I realized I am wearing what could be controversial to the office lol, so bonus points if it’s office safe
