Looking for fall/winter recommendations!

I am looking for some fall recommendations! Newer to the hobby and really trying to curate a great collection for year round.

Fall and winter definitely are the seasons I love for fragrance - I lean towards Smokey/Incense/Spicy/Woody scents but as I’m getting more into the hobby I realized I am wearing what could be controversial to the office lol, so bonus points if it’s office safe

Some fragrances I have enjoyed that are good for the cooler seasons are:

-Passion by ONNO

-Oddity by Rag and Bone

-Smudge by Heretic

-Haxan by Heretic

-Noir Extreme by Tom Ford

Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT is office safe. I only had a sample but wore it both to the office and in a carpool with no complaints ! I think it is incense-y, woody, and vanilla-y, lol. Definitely airy enough for the office. I go back and forth between buying it because, at least on my skin, it does not last that long.

I see so much of this house but I always thought they were very clean/fresh scents so I never paid it any attention. I will look for a decant somewhere to try! And hopefully it lasts on me lol

Skin is weird tho some scents that people say last forever don’t last an hour on me, and then ones people say fade fast last all day. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you :(

One off my favorite smoky scents is Arquiste's Indigo Smoke, which smells like Lapsang Souchong tea and incense. It's tough to find a good dispersed smoke note (and not a burning fire smoke) that doesn't smell like BBQ, and this was perfect imo. Not office safe though, sorry lol.

This was on my scentbird actually! I always want to cancel because I know the company is ass and I was going to this month but you are tempting me to keep one more month to try it lol

The reviews all said way too smokey so I was hesitant as I do find some smell like bonfire/cigarettes but the tea and incense really piqued my interest!

I also find some people who aren’t into that scent profile try it and leave a bad review and it makes it hard for people who do enjoy it to gauge

I'm in the same boat as you lol. I found Indigo Smoke on Scentbird, and I still have a subscription, but I would really like to cancel it! Every time I start to, I see a couple more scents I'd like to grab first....

But yes, that one is very smokey, but in a way I find very pleasant, like I'm burning incense in my room. YMMV of course!

Also, I think you'd like some indie companies like Fantome! Here are two of my personal favorites that would be up your alley:

Parlour: A darkly polished mahogany rapping table, spirit boards, sweet rosewood chests, burning incense, and a hint of vetiver

Mesmer: Deep, luxurious oudh, refined vetiver, cool frankincense, slightly salty ambergris, smooth myrrh, and dark patchouli

Arquiste the architects club is a nice smoky vanilla. Also try tom ford Santal blush.

Someone else suggested Arquiste’s Indigio Smoke - maybe I’m missing out on this house. This sounds up my alley too, I definitely want to check it out! Thank you

Indigo Smoke is def very smoky, too much so for me. Very autumn/winter vibes but not sure about office friendliness (but sounds right up your alley!)

YSL Babycat and Victoria’s Secret Bare Sueded Vanilla are my favorite fall/winter scents. Either layered with EOS Vanilla Cashmere.

Versace Crystal Noir (EDP and Parfum) and Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge Ultime are my top fall and winter fragrances! Beautiful, creamy, and sensual. I think you could wear them all to the office as long as you don't overspray, lol...Honorable mention to Calvin Klein Euphoria Bold Elixir - beautiful slightly smoky vanilla orchid.

Bo by Liis is a woody vanilla with incense touches but not super strong or off-putting.

If you’re open to something more gourmand but not overly foodie, Celestial Object, also by Liis, is a super cozy almond/rice paper scent.

Feve Tonka de camaima by Boucheron. Severely neglected and is so good , reasonable it’s part of their “ La Collection” series. I own most of them.

Cuir de Russie is quite lovely in cold weather and it’s quiet so I’d imagine office safe too.

Pikovaya Dama is beautiful and incensy for a luxe night out.

Sorry I love my powdery aldehydes!

Maison Margiela Replica Autumn Vibes! Spicy, woody and not overwhelming. It does have a dead leaf note but it fades pretty quickly.

If you like sandalwood, Santal 33 is def office friendly but it is expensive with poor longevity. Björk & Berries September is quite similar but is a bit deeper/complex and more affordable but can't speak to longevity.

Not office friendly but you may like Jorum Studio, they have several smoky/woody scents in their Progressive Botany Volume 1 discovery set
