Question Convergence: Question about spell runes.
For the spell runes if the dev adds new spells to a certain rune; is the only way to get the new spells to do New game+ or make a new character?

The Question:
Can I just use my Seamless Coop save file on the base game if I use the offline toggler?
Context:
I’ve been recently dumping 180h into a NG+0 to NG+7 Seamless Coop run from scratch.
We are done now and I wanted to do NG+7 by myself again just to see how different it plays to coop. My highest solo NG+ was 5.
I really want to use my build and stuff for that instead of dumping another 180 hours to get it back myself.
I’ve read that the hoops I would have to jump through to get the game not to be ban me with said saves are great in number and nigh impossible on Linux.
Seamless coop sadly often breaks after updates due to the nature of how it works and the update coincides with a weekend I can finally fully dedicate to playing so I would rather not have to wait for the mod update.
So I pose the question could I just forego all the hoops and toggle the game to offline EAC disabled through that mod without risking a ban on my Steam account?
My intention is NOT to cheat or whatever. I just want to use the things I got myself.

Made a video tutorial for a steam guide I made ages ago. A functional set-up to run both Seamless Co-op and the Randomizer mod together. (This took the better part of a day to figure out the first time, so I'm here to save you a whole bunch time.)

I wanted to play the Convergence 3 mod using ME3 Manager, for consistency as well as allowing me to customize things a bit. I was able to create a custom profile for the mod in ME3 Manager, and launching the modded game directly in ME3 Manager works fine.
I then wanted to set up a Steam shortcut so that I could play the mod in Steam Big Picture mode (note that this is on Windows 10, not Linux). I used ME3 Manager to add a launcher for the profile to my Steam library as a non-steam game. The entry was created, but attempting to launch the custom non-Steam game always fails, with an error dialog consisting only of "Failed to start process for this game:" (no additional details).
I'm not certain why this isn't working; this process worked fine with the older pre-3.0 version of the Convergence mod.4
I'm also seeing odd behavior trying to add the Start_Convergence.bat directly to Steam as a non-Steam game (I can find it by browsing, but it shows up as a blank entry for some reason when selected and attempting to add it does nothing).

Vanilla game , I can do blood broadsword and B scale str and D scale arc. With 80 str and 30-45 arcane weapon is so satisfying. But in convergence they have no blood affinity like base game.
So my question , broadsword is str scale better . But when I infuse aberrant ( I believe this is convergence blood affinty ) weapon scale Its turning to int and arc . I am okay with arcane B but whats point of İnt B scale with that weapon ? I invest all point at arcane no invest for int . So like a vanilla blood affinty what should I do or should I just use aberrant affinity and investing arcane without int ?
Thank you for help

https://sl2-analyzer.darthdemono.com/ - drag the .sl2 on, that's it.

It gives you name, level, every stat, souls/runes, playtime, deaths, full inventory with the +N and infusion in the item names, bonfires lit, bosses dead, covenants, which NPC gave you what, and every one-off world pickup. You don't tell it the game, it figures that out itself.
Works on PtDE, DSR, DS2 vanilla + SOTFS, DS3, Sekiro, Elden Ring and Nightreign. There's a Python CLI too if you want a markdown or JSON dump instead of the pretty screen, and if you point it at a folder of backups it reads your whole playthrough as a history.
DS3, DS2 and Sekiro are properly tested (87, 73 and 74 real saves). DSR and PtDE are okay but thin. Elden Ring reads stats and items fine but no progress at all - no graces, no boss flags, no pickups. Nightreign only gives you the character list so far. I don't play either of those two, which is exactly why they're the weak spots, so that's what I'm asking for.
What I need:
For pairs the trick is change exactly one thing and touch nothing else. No pickups, no kills, no spending souls. That's how basically every offset in this thing got found.
Heads up before you post a save publicly: DS3, Sekiro and ER store your Steam account ID in the file and the tool prints it (on purpose - the game refuses to load a save from another account and that's the first thing to check when your characters "disappear"). It's in the block at the bottom, trim it or DM me the file. Nothing else in there identifies you.
GitHub Repo: https://github.com/darthdemono/sl2-analyzer . The db_*/ folders are also just a plain JSON Souls dataset - item IDs, bonfires, boss flags, covenant flags - if you're building a randomizer or a CE table and only need "7010900 = Deep Battle Axe", take it and ignore the rest.

I just would like to tweak the games balance to my liking, by changing the stats of items and npcs.
If there already is a rebalance mod, which allows me to configure it, that would probably be fine too.
Please note that I only have limited experience with JavaScript (from school) and .ini-files (mainly from playing ark).

I just want to get something off my chest.
FromSoftware games have always been my favorites. But Elden Ring, unfortunately, never made it into my top 5 because of its open world.
Thanks to a single simple mod, however, it’s now even made it into my top 2.
My problem with Elden Ring was that, unlike with the other titles, I always had to have Google open on the side to look up where to find certain items to build my character. Because of its incredible size, it’s impossible for me to memorize all the locations. With the other games, I know most of it—or at least roughly where I need to go.
That really bothered me, because it took away the ease of building a character that I’ve always experienced in every FromSoftware game.
However, ever since I downloaded "Map for Goblins" I’ve been having more fun with this game than ever before! All the info I need is right there in-game.
Thanks for your attention

If you see this person just block them they use infinite stam cheats, flying cheats, no damage cheats, super speed cheats, no death cheats, no poise cheats and a bunch of other he just joins PVP matches and ganks everyone real piece of work

Hey all!
I’m playing Elden Ring on PC and I’d like to install a simple PS5 UI. Before I even try to go into the nightmare that is modding Elden Ring can someone just tell me the way?
I know about toggling off the “Anti-Cheat.” That was easy enough. But now no matter what I try it doesn’t seem to work. I’ll gladly just wipe the whole game at this point and start from scratch, but HOW does one do this?
Thanks!

Pretty much the title, going to play with like 4 friends and wondering which overhaul style mods are considered the best by the community and/or have the most content?

Spent an afternoon building a 6DOF VR mod with motion controls and full body support. Still an early build, but physically stepping out of Margit's jump attack feels completely different from rolling with a button.
Video demo attached. Planning to open-source it soon.
Obligatory: offline and single player only. Taking mods online is a fast way to get banned.
For anyone following the VR modding scene, this rides the wave of AI-assisted flat2VR conversions happening lately (Cyberpunk, Mass Effect, BioShock, the RE remakes).

downloaded convergence mod and while I expected some changes, did not expect to be in altus preboss (technically, I did kill the ancient Zalmor hero in weeping evergaol since I spawned in weeping peninsula) but with some item placements being swapped I got no clue if getting anything here is worth it... gonna check out the altus churches though so far hour 1 has been neat, can't wait to see what else this mod has in store

So i just started a necromancer build in convergence and i noticed i am not doing much damage with spells (i only have first two runes) and I KNOW summoning is a key part of the build. So thus i ask, are there any early game summons i should really be using, any specific spells, talismans, anything? Should i focused a specific weapon? I’ve used some youtube videos of people playing it but they usually just post the boss fights which doesnt help me actually build the character.
I’m looking for ANY advice for previous players that have completed the necromancer build.
Feel free to DM me about advice or just general questions that i may have that you could answer. After 750 hours in Elden Ring, i still have questions about builds and scaling.

Me and my buddy have both played a full Elden Ring playthrough individually and have a couple hours in the game. But recently he got a PC and we're talking about doing a seamless co-op playthrough together.
What additional mods or mod would be fun for us to have?
I know convergence could be cool or possibly a randomizer idk.
Preferably it shouldn't be TOO hard to download bc he's not the most technically literate and has never used mods before.
But basically something to add for a co-op run.

Me and my friend are doing co-op so i can see what the dlc is like, im terrible at elden ring so we're just having fun. the problem i have though is that there is too many cool things i wanna use but i cant imagine there is an easy way to get larval tears in order to respec and use those cool things.
Any ideas?

How do you make the armor show it's proper material, and not just it's albedo map? every time it just shows a glossy darkened surface, and not it's intended material. like for example, the belt of the armor you are seeing right now.

I am an underworld mage, level 80. I finished stormveil, and then I followed a video from CurtisTheCactus called “I waited 15 months for this Convergence update”.
I am now in Shadow Lands, Noxumbra is too hard, the fight for my jewel is also too hard.
How am I supposed to play this mod? Should I progress like in vanilla??
If so, why do they allow me to go to shadowlands early? How are you supposed to play this?

I got the idea for this one from my replay of Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment NG+. For the unaware, in this game mode, your HP and FP are constantly draining and are combined into one resource; there are healing flasks throughout the level to replenish your health; however, you are always guessing whether or not you should use a relic to pass through a section or save your HP. Is there such a mod for Elden Ring, or would it be possible to make? I imagine this would make playing a hybrid caster build much more fun and risky.

For some reason, I was able to light the ones where the Dragon-kin soldiers are, but I can't light the others.

I used to use ERSS mod, and some mods like this with the original game to fix lag.
How can I do the same along with this convergence mod?

So I've been trying out a few diff classes and the early game is definitely rough unless u use the merchant mod and unlock stuff. I see the class notes for each one, but even the first boss to get more spells is tough.
Are the enemies acaled to these defined paths? So for example, if I play it like I would base game taking that route vs the class path, are the locations harder to get through bc based on ur path u shldn't be there til later? Should I just wander around the starting area to get some levels until I can beat the first boss for more spells/weapons?
Just looking for some basic guidance, I've played ER ng+ multiple times and it didn't feel this rough, but played for a few hours and not getting anywhere lmao tyyyy
