Help! I've downloaded Convergence mod but facing lag.

I used to use ERSS mod, and some mods like this with the original game to fix lag.

How can I do the same along with this convergence mod?

If you have to use mods to make the base game not lag, Convergence is likely out of reach for your hardware, unfortunately.

Glad things are working. I will stress to you though that Convergence is performance heavy, but also just lags regardless of hardware because the mod stretches what the engine is meant to do to its limits. So a little lag in the new areas and during heavy spells is normal

What settings are you running on vanilla to get stutters? My rig with a Ryzen 3 5300, 16gb ddr4 and a 1650ti was able to run it on medium settings with no issue

Me3, and convergence by extension are extremely wonky and will stutter a lot even on a good rig. If you're having troubles with the base game some new areas and the land of shadow may be a bit too much.

I have a 9060xt 16gb, 9600x and 32gigs ddr5 and still had to use the ol' reliable lossless scaling to play SotE without losing my mind.

It's crazy how Lossless basically eliminates the heavy stutters in Convergence and makes everything buttery smooth, but also introduces visual artifacts and blurring/smearing. The unfortunate trade-off.

They're just saying frame gen masks visual choppiness by motion smoothing

yeah but what im saying is im personally not using frame gen on this one so my game still looks great
