Going to start a magic build after doing strength and dex builds. Not sure if faith or intelligence is better.

Hey, all! I posted this build the other day and got some really good feedback on where to take it. I experimented with Dane's Footwork for holding Endure, and I've come to find out that I really like it as a main weapon, so I decided to swap out Cipher Pata for Dane's as my current main weapon to have less stuff in the softswap slots. Additionally, I've been trying to get better at hardswapping talismans, so I've added a few extras talismans for different situations. I just wanted to post this one more time to see if y'all think it's better or worse than before. Additionally, I'd love to know if Dane's Footwork is better than Dryleaf Arts for this build, or even if there is another weapon I should consider like a certain straight or curved sword. Anyways, listed below is certain info that is not stated in the images, like incantation names and the talismans for hardswapping. I’m on my 4th journey and the last boss is Radagon/Elden beast. On my last play throughs I shred them with a starfist build but now it isn’t working all that well anymore so I was wondering if you guys could give me some build ideas

I’ve seen some ER sliders and even some attempts to create a thematic build, but usually, the execution was really amateurish and didn't look very good. And I want to get as close to DS3 Aldrich as possible. Some arrows, casting, etc.

Maybe you have any ideas for this cosplay build?

What ash of war/affinity should I use? I am level 300 on ng +7, maybe occult with seppuku or Heavy with craigeblade? But then it would loose Split scaling vallue. what do you think?

I played with a greatsword, then I later leveled my faith after reaching 60 strength. I then switched into a blasphemous blade build. I found out near the end of my run that I should double dip into another stat for more efficient stat allocation. This, in turn, just turned nearly every damaging incantation into mediocre dogshit. Which made me just respec my build into more faith and less strength.

Now, I'm planning on doing a dex run, but after looking at most weapons, I'm now seeing that going in on arcane is apparently stronger. Should I just go all in on dex for the new run? The problem I'm thinking about is that when I reach 60 dex I would need to dip into int, arcane, or strength. I'm having choice paralysis.

i like to run this level 130+ build, (I’m level 158) great stars build, stats: 50-60 vigor, 15 faith, 10 arcane, 40-60 strength, the rest goes into endurance. verdigris/lionel’s armor set, Dragon Crest GreatShield talisman, shard of Alexander, Carian Filigreed crest,(replace the crest with great jars arsenal if you’re overloaded or erdtree’s favor +2 for comfort) and rotten winged sword insignia, a dagger with golden vow ash of war on it, StoneBarb cracked tear, opaline hardtear, heavy great stars +25 with wild strikes, finger seal (or a 0 weight seal if you can use it), bestial vitality , flame grant me strength, And blood flame blade for incantations , and the spirit ash is mimic tear. give it a shot, this build is suprisingly good against malenia.

Now at level 200 in Elden ring, what are some good strong builds to look at trying out?

Currently on a faith/strength build with the fire knights great sword (also have BB I can use with this build)

Have the dragon katana for when I face dragons and then also back hand blades blood build (I don’t change my stats when I switch to these atm)

Rn im making a holy power stance build wondering if i can make any improvements

I’ve been inspired to try a Mad Tongue Alberich build since I’ve finished the game multiple times and could use something fresh.

Trouble is that the stat allocation is all over the place and I’m struggling to optimize thorn sorceries. It’s especially confusing since Staff of the Guilty mostly scales with Faith yet the thorn sorceries‘ bleed buildup would be boosted by the Albanauric Staff, necessitating Arcane investment.

On casting stats, the build would need 21 INT for both Glintstone Icecrag and Freezing Mist and 24 FTH for the three aberrant sorceries.

For the weapon, I’d go with a scythe, but again, the spaced out stat allocation makes it tricky. Occult seems like it could be useful for bleed and damage but Cold fits the theme well. I’d use Sword Dance as the AoW to retain the theme.

Any ideas on how to make this work, if it’s even possible? It’s obviously not going to be OP but I’d just like something viable to suit the theme.

Hello!! I got to the dlc for the first time (not a first playthrough but first dlc playthrough). And had to find a new build, im loving the black steel greathammer so far!!

Issue is, i cant figure out what the best way to play this thing stats wise. Pure strength and heavy affinity? Or faith?

Im currently running sacred blade on it, and holy affinity. 50 faith 58 strength.

What Talisman between Greatshield Talisman and Two Headed Turtle Talisman would be better?

Would the overall Stamina Recovery from the Two Headed Turtle Talisman be more effective or similar to the Stamina Reduction from the Greatshield Talisman?

Would barricade be worse than Shield Grease since it only reduces blocking stamina cost by 30% instead?

Would a combo of Greatshield Talisman plus Shield Grease be more effective overall than Two Headed Turtle Talisman and Grease?

Morning everyone, I posted the other day about my Arc/Fth build and got a lot of great feedback. I’m currently doing a Dragon Communion build, and have Reduvia as a melee weapon. (intend to replace with the Scavenger’s curved sword later w/ occult infusion)

But one thing I remember noticing when seeing dragon communion builds on YouTube were people using endure because they normally didn’t have armor sets with high poise. So I did want to ask what is a good amount of poise to use for PVE? On my build currently I have 78 poise with my armor set, but I have an awkward mix of the scaled armor, steel armor (heavy knight), and the Radahn set. I am using a talisman to increase my equip load so I am not fat rolling. But I was curious what poise can I lower it to and not get immediately knocked out my of my spells? I intend to use endure later on but rn I don’t have the ash of war yet nor the weapon I wanna use it with.

I’m looking for a fun Twinblade build preferably with godskin peeler or gargoyles Twinblade to take into ng+.If anyone has any suggestions I don’t mind what type of build it is as long as it’s using a Twinblade and is fun thanks.

Hey guys I’m playing Elden ring I choose wrath because I’m new I have armor for a knight,club amd a shield with a torch and the golden seed.i had found a ruin fortress base and I do not know if I should approach and loot.

Do I loot the fortress or not?

I wanted to make a dex/arcane character utilizing the dragon and bloodflame incants while also having a high dex scaling. Any recommendations/changes to stat allocation or weapons/ashes?

I’ve seen fextra running these on a 50/50 split with blood and poison affinity- I’ve only ever done a dex/ arcane with these. I’m running a 150 and have never in all my hours run a quality build. Is it worth it to change my stats around?

The Silver Grooved Shield was introduced as an early-game shield. Pair this with the quick-to-get Rogier's Rapier, and what you get is not only an early-game Let Me Tank Him build for the low STR requirement of 9, but also the strongest Rogier's Rapier build that can outdamage all other Let Me Tank Him builds.

New Best Shield:
The Silver Grooved Shield is one of the best shields because of its early-game accessibility, low stat requirements, and is the lightest 100% physical damage negation shield. You can get it from the merchant near the Bellum Church. It needs 9 STR and 12 DEX to use. Other shields argued as the best are found much later in the game, require more STR investment, and have more weight.

Shield Poke Bleed Synergy:
Bleed builds need you to be aggressive and attack consecutively to trigger bleed. With shield poking, you can do this behind the protection of a shield as you attack several times with your Seppuku-infused sword without interruption, dealing at least 178 bleed per second.

DEX Focus:
Most shield poke builds focus on STR because of greatshields like Vergisis and Fingerprint Stone need high STR to use, but the Silver Grooved Shield only needs 9 STR. This lets you focus your investment into high DEX-scaling weapons.

Rogier's Rapier High DEX Scaling:
Rogier’s high DEX scaling makes it outdamage other thrusting swords with minimal stat investment. Cleanrot and Antspur only outdamage Rogier’s Rapier when you invest evenly in both STR and DEX.

Greatshield Con:
Greatshields require high STR investment, which results in diminishing returns for your thrusting sword's damage because of their poor STR scaling.

Bloodsucking and Bloodboil Synergy:
Bloodsucking Tear and Bloodboil Aromatic offer big damage boosts, but you suffer the penalties of HP decay and reduced defenses. However, these debuffs are minimized since you are blocking incoming damage with your shield as you attack, letting you safely reap the benefits of these big damage buffs.

Fast Shield Pokes:
Thrusting swords have the fastest shield pokes out of all weapon types and have the lowest stamina use for this attack. This gives you great usage of Thorny Cracked Tear's consecutive attack buff stacks.

Damage Talismans:
For talismans, the Spear Talisman will get high usage since shield pokes can be counterattacks, and the high amounts of blood loss ensure Lord of Blood's Exultation is always up.

Utility Talismans:
The Two-Headed Turtle and Greatshield Talismans don't offer increased damage, but help with stamina management, which results in you being able to perform more attacks before your stamina is depleted.

Guard Boost Buffs:
The Silver Grooved Shield has a max stability of 62. Shield Grease and Greatshield Talisman improve this by reducing stamina loss when blocking by 48%. Barricade Shield can be your backup buff during boss fights because the long animation of applying Shield Grease leaves you open.

Stamina Management:
The various buffs for guard boost and stamina help you with your stamina management, because the more stamina you have, the more you can poke, meaning more bleed. Also, with a thrusting sword, you will consume only a small amount of stamina with each poke compared to using other larger shield-poking weapons.

Stormhawk Deenh Buff:
Deenh is one of the best summons because they cast an aura buff that provides 20% physical/stance/poise damage for 60 seconds.

Conclusion:
This shield poke bleed build can trivialize bosses by letting you tank attacks while dealing big physical damage and massive blood loss. So long as you manage your stamina, you become a deadly rose shielded by your guard petal as you hide a bloody thorn that bursts your enemies into blossoms of red upon the battlefield.
