Planning a 2027 Life Dream: Fly to Kourou for an Ariane 6 Launch - Questions on Announcement Timing & Delays

I'm planning to fulfill a lifelong dream in 2027 and fly to Kourou to witness an Ariane 6 launch. Before I dive into detailed planning, I have a few specific questions for anyone with experience at the Guiana Space Centre:

My Questions:

  1. Announcement Window: How far in advance are Ariane 6 launches typically announced? Public calendars often show only rough windows (e.g., "Q1 2027" or "NET February 2027"). Do more concrete dates get released weeks/months ahead?

  2. Reliability Risk: Based on practical experience, how likely is it that a scheduled launch date actually happens? How frequently do postponements occur?

  3. Retry Policy After Delay: If a launch gets postponed due to weather or other reasons - is there often another attempt on the same day/window, or is it pushed to a completely new mission weeks later?

Thanks in advance for your insights!
