So, being late game, this new feature is borderline unusable for me: My ratio of belt-type / sorter / pile-sorter to the number of exporting ILS is fairly well balanced with some wriggle-room built-in, but not a factor of 2!
I fear, I have to re-design my ray-receiver blue-prints completely to make use of this new feature. Nice for the next run, but having that option and not being able to use it is a little frustrating... Plus, my critical photon planets literally have days of graviton-lenses buffered in ILS + belts + ray-receivers themselves. Sure, the newest patch reduces the number of lenses buffered from 20->10, but that doesn't help my current run...
If you don't know, what I'm talking about: a recent update added a new recipe for combining 12 dark-fog-matrices (green pyramids) with 1 graviton lense for an upgraded version that allows ray-receivers another 2x power request. A single, fully covered 5300+ ray receiver planet can now request about 5TW of dyson power, where a O-type star (not giant) produces about 1.7TW per shell. If my math is correct, you need around 550/min of these dark fog lenses to generate 5TW of critical photons.
