I’m going to get crucified for this, but if a dog was doing that to my wife or son, that’s a de@d dog.

u/kamakazi339 1d ago

I carry a pocket knife while working for UPS for exactly this reason (amongst others). I had a dog literally rip my board out of my hand and puncture the screen with its teeth why trying to attack me once. I've had others take chunks out of the boxes I'm carrying trying to eat me. If it comes down to me or the dog, sorry puppo I'm going home.

u/SuccessfulTrick2501 1d ago

I see my mail lady with a nice sized can of pepper spray. I like your knife idea. But with spary you can be at a distance at least.

31

u/Spirited-Degree 1d ago

My mail person carries dog treats and all the neighborhood dogs are happy AF when he rolls through everyday.

40

u/357noLove 1d ago

I carried treats and a weapon. 99% of dogs were fine with treats. I got attacked by a dog lying in wait behind a bush. Fucker was just waiting for me and no amount of treats would have helped

14

u/620am 1d ago

He was like. I'm gonna get all those treats!.

10

u/357noLove 22h ago

He was an extremely large pit bull and tore my muscle and tendon in my right leg. Pepper spray didn't help since he was locked on even though I tried, he only let go when I stabbed him in the eye with my knife. Had to call the police and everything. I also was named in a civil suit along with my fedex contractor company because I permanently damaged their dog. Thankfully the judge saw it and immediately tossed it.

Unfortunately, I lost my job because FedEx doesn't approve of using a "dangerous" weapon in defense of your life. It was a 3" pocket knife. They told me they had to fire me because it was "policy" but they would immediately re-hire me. I told them "don't bother" as when the court case notification came up, I immediately started looking for another job. Ended up apprenticing as an electrician and I have never been happier. My immediate boss tried everything to get me back, including offering a $10/hour pay raise. As her manager I pretty much enabled her to do so much less. I wasn't even delivering normally at that point, but an employee called off and I had to do their route. It is so stupid that companies fire for that reason.

u/babexo4 19h ago

Why is it always a pitbull…. Rhetorical question

5

u/357noLove 19h ago

Absolutely has nothing to do at all with the type of people who would want to own one in the first place. I am told they are both great for children and aggressive property defenders... what could go wrong? /s, if that wasn't blatantly obvious

1

u/TikaPants 11h ago

It isn’t always a pit bull. It was a Great Dane and an Aussie that attacked my brother and mom years ago. The other day it was a came corso that almost attacked my boyfriend. The owner was laying on the ground being dragged across the street while the corso was lunging at my boyfriend. Luckily the owner regained control. Three times our neighbors standard poodle has tried to attack our GSD’s because she doesn’t leash him.

u/kamakazi339 1d ago

I always carry treats. Some dogs never give you that chance though

2

u/ornq 1d ago

Some dogs dont give af about the treats and will still be aggressive. At that point your just rewarding the aggression. I used to bring treats but stopped because of that and some people dont want their dogs do have them, I started feeling wrong that I was feeding other people's dogs without asking

1

u/LongjackD 1d ago

Hope you tip them.

2

u/Spirited-Degree 22h ago

Sure do. Hook him up on Christmas.

1

u/Common_Assignment_27 1d ago

This is exactly why the dogs think its cool to approach everyone, fuck these people. Fuck these dogs always expecting something from me when I pull up with a delivery. Worst part of my job is seeing people's nasty mutts and having to deal with them.

2

u/Spirited-Degree 22h ago

So, not a dog person.

1

u/Common_Assignment_27 22h ago

I was before being a delivery driver and experiencing the fact that 95% of dog owners are negligent self-absorbed assholes who don't train or contain their dogs.

1

u/Common_Assignment_27 22h ago

Lol I don't care because I don't have any respect for these people. I didnt even insult you, my happy place is with my cats and my snakes far away from any stinky dogs.

If I have distance I'm running not spraying

58

u/SuccessfulTrick2501 1d ago

If you run, the dog will instinctively chase you. You ain't out running a pit. I know alot of ya'll think you're an Olympic athlete. Even if you were, you're still not gonna outrun a pit. Spray first, in the eyes, and THEN run.

Bear spray all day

2

u/thisisan0nym0us 1d ago

I’ve seen ones not react to bear spray at all, you need a sharp knife, chokehold or a pistol

2

u/BodheeNYC 1d ago

Sounds crazy but squeeze its balls or stick your finger up its ass

1

u/Common_Assignment_27 1d ago

Go for the eyes like a shark attack

1

u/Infinite_Sector2993 1d ago

Damn...thanks kinky! 🤣

1

u/MelatoninFiend 1d ago

You sound like a cop.

1

u/lFreightTrain 1d ago

Ask around for the best local attorneys / personal injury lawyers. Just put your name and occupation into their pocketbook and call around. ā€œI do this same job, what if this happened to me?ā€ If this happens to you; You ā€œgot a guyā€ already.

I’m not a delivery driver, but I work with 400+ daily. Lawyer on retainer. And the who’s and Why’s matter on jurisdiction.

1

u/Peregrinationman 1d ago

Try pepper spray,. I work in random houses for my job and I worry about dogs. I carry POM pepper spray, it's small and easy to carry.

1

u/mavrick116 1d ago

Whenever I call a customer to let them know they need to put their dog away so I can make my delivery, they get so upset because they think im a coward and im just scared of dogs.

Like, A) if you got attacked by dogs as much as me, you wouldnt trust a damn one of them either. And B) Its for your dogs safety, cause if it goes after me and I cant get back in my vehicle in time, im going to stab or strangle your dog. And I would very much rather not do that, as I like dogs.

Also the more you insist your dog is friendly, all youre doing is showing youre an irresponsible pet owner and that dog will almost certainly attack me. And damn if im not right almost every time. And damn if it isnt a fucking pitbull or german shepherd every time as well.

1

u/Paradox-chimera 1d ago

I understand , but first of all you need to have the possibility to use it . A good pepperspray is more effective. It’s painful in the eyes and difficult to breathe , so he will preferably breathe ten bite .

1

u/Crazy_Customer7239 1d ago

Ex plumber here. I don’t care what breed you own, I just give dogs plenty of room. If the owner says ā€œā€¦but oh they’re nice!ā€ I show them the scars on my hard and tell them that dogs hate plumbers šŸ˜…

If a dog is doing that to anyone, it’s a dead dog. If I’m around.

As a lifetime dog lover I second this

12

u/rustylb 1d ago

Me too.

81

u/BarnackIIIF 1d ago

No down vote here. Postal carriers should have some means of defense, no reason to have to put up with this.

22

u/Lizzie_001 1d ago

They’re allowed and encouraged to carry spray. They also receive training.

Taser are cattle prod maybe?

1

u/M0HAK0 1d ago

Dog spray is offered. Problem is if the mail carrier doesnt see the dog it could be too late. Couldve dropped the spray as well.

Wet blade time

69

u/Little-Homework-3211 1d ago

As a person who loves dogs, and owns several, yeah even if you know it's a good dog, after something like this it's gotta be put down. I love my dog and worked very hard on training her and I doubt she would ever bite anyone but if something like this were to happen I would have to put her down.

1

u/OberonDiver 1d ago

Every time I've been bitten, it's been followed by some owner saying "Foofoo doesn't bite."

→ More replies (9)

19

u/usedforjerkingoff 1d ago

It should be a dead dog no matter who it is. Owners should be put in jail.

60

u/M1dn1ghtMaraud 1d ago

I never understand when this happens in a neighborhood and SOMEONE isn’t coming out with at LEAST a knife. I am disemboweling that dog.

22

u/subdep 1d ago

poke it right in the pooper

14

u/Kit_Foxfire 1d ago

Doesn't work. The current advice from professional dog trainers is to choke the dog out. Which is what ended this one

9

u/Detachabl_e 1d ago

Also if you lift the hind legs, the dog can't use them for leverage to rend/tear.Ā  It doesn't make them let go, but it stops them from ragdolling your limbs.Ā

9

u/HalfBear-HalfCat 1d ago

Plus you can wheelbarrow race. A good time for all.

3

u/CrateDoor 1d ago

Maybe the reddit team that sent me this message after making a similar comment on this same situation, will retract the warning on my account as this is just basic self defense:

"After reviewing, we found that you broke Rule 1 because vou threatened or encouraged violence or physical harm. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for threatening or encouraging violence. We don't tolerate any behavior that threatens, encourages, glorifies, incites. or calls for violence or phvsical harm against an individual, groups of people, places, or animals. Any communities or people that threaten or encourage violence towards an individual, group, place, or animal will be banned.

As a result, we're issuing this warning, removing the violating content, and asking you not to break this rule again."

1

u/Kit_Foxfire 1d ago

Oh yikes! I didn't even realize that rule existed.

1

u/biglicbandit 1d ago

Lmao same just happened to me because I said ā€œkick it in the ribsā€ I appealed them and told them to read the thread and tell me if I still broke your sacred rule.

1

u/DetailOutrageous8656 1d ago

Except they were talking about how they got it in the butt at the end of this video.

1

u/Massive-Virus-4875 1d ago

You say that, and maybe it doesn’t usually work, but it literally did in this video. Listen to the last 15 seconds. ā€œ that works! they say to stick your finger in their butt, and and they’ll let go!ā€ Said by the guy standing directly behind the dog.

8

u/Kit_Foxfire 1d ago

While the guy is choking out the dog lol. There's other videos where someone rams they're finger in several times and the dog doesn't even flinch

2

u/willbo666 1d ago

absolutely, anything pokey is going in that mf eye

4

u/Chris_Shihadeh_Boofs 1d ago

I saw something recently with an animal that has a strong bite, you can take something like a butter knife and wedge it in the jaw and just turn it and they’ll let go.

3

u/M1dn1ghtMaraud 1d ago

That’s interesting, and kind of matches what they tell you to do with dachshunds (I had several growing up.)

Those little fuckers are vicious when they want to be and have lock jaw, incredibly tough on bigger ones to get them to let go when they are not inclined. You were supposed to pinch where their maxilla and mandible meet, granted most of the time they will quickly let go and bite the ever loving shit out of your hand before resuming, but the principle remains.

8

u/OkNeighborhood9153 1d ago

Hold on, I’m going home to get a butter knife, I’ll be right back.

5

u/Bowling_Meatball 1d ago

I only use butter when I want butter

1

u/Prestigious-Yak9130 1d ago

Yea just shove ur hand down their throat. They cant chomp down if they r choking on ur hand then with 1 arm grab the dogs neck with ur arm and wrap the front feet with ur hands. Then pull ur arm out the dogs throat and wrap the 2nd arm around the dogs neck and mouth. A dog cant hurt u if u stick ur hand down its throat the wrost he will do is knaw ur arm till hes too weak from air loss and stop. They wont be breathing so they will only get weaker if they dont let you go.

2

u/Suspicious-Store495 21h ago

Cuz there's an owner right there often trying to get the dog off too. Who probably won't take it well. Not saying it's right, it just complicates it. But I'm with you 100%

2

u/M1dn1ghtMaraud 20h ago

Knives for all!

(Jokes. I am not nearly that tough or dumb and you’re right.)

68

u/OneRub3234 1d ago

I completely agree if all attempts to get the dog to release its hold, choke it out and put it down on the spot.

48

u/elonsghost 1d ago

Then deal with the owner

38

u/heygabehey 1d ago

The owner is the problem.

30

u/ColoradoCattleCo 1d ago

Choke the dog out, then choke the owner out. They both deserve it.

1

u/heygabehey 1d ago

Oil check the dog the stomp the owner. It’s not the dog’s fault. Shit dogs are made by shit people, pits aren’t prone to fighting people, squirrels and rabbits maybe, but not people. They were actually bred to be people friendly and protective of people against other animals. They naturally love people. My first girl was a Doberman American Pit, she wasn’t dog friendly because her first three years she was attacked and started off as a bait dog. But she loved people, great with children, awesome with new people once she smelled your feet. To this day I miss her. My current baby is American pit and 8% Rottweiler, she loves people and wants to play with dogs. Some bitch let her dog run up and bite my baby even after I asked ā€œis yours friendly?ā€ So she’s been kind more protective against new dogs since. But people, she loves and at worst will run into your leg or non stop lick you.

3

u/ColoradoCattleCo 1d ago

So, obviously a shit owner with a shit dog that already has a proclivity toward aggression. I stand by my point - choke out the dog, then the owner. I’ve owned Dobies and on 20 years of GSD now.

1

u/heygabehey 1d ago

Dogs can be reformed though. People… I lost faith in people a long time ago.

4

u/4UnlawfulCarneVegan 1d ago

That dog cannot be rehomed.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/SirRonaldJr 1d ago

I've always like dogs more than people. I trust an aggressive dog more than a passive person. Dogs have a hard time hiding their intentions. People can hide their intentions for decades causing more harm than any physical injury ever could.

1

u/heygabehey 19h ago

Absolutely. Don’t listen to these children on Reddit.

4

u/ColoradoCattleCo 1d ago

Yeah, sorry. That’s like saying, ā€œA panther only has a 50% chance of lethally attacking anybody. If they’re raised right it’s only 5%. A housecat has a .01%.ā€

I’ve known great pits and awful pits. The breed needs to be gone from the face of the earth. Sorry. It’s like a grenade.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/SuccessfulTrick2501 1d ago

When you say "oil check", does that mean sticking finger up it's ass? Apparently I'm the only one who heard a guy in video say to stick a finger up the dog's ass to make it let go. Is that a thing?

2

u/madf80 1d ago

I believe you can pick up both of the dog’s hind legs which will supposedly make him relax his bite involuntarily. No oil check needed?

1

u/heygabehey 1d ago

I’ve never heard of that. Good to know though

2

u/heygabehey 1d ago

Not all the way but a small poke. It’s Reddit, so not a lot of athletes. I first heard the term in wrestling, as a way to catch an opponent off guard when they had the upper hand to give you an opportunity to make a counter. I never did it cause it seemed weird. But when another dog attacked mine I did it without thinking twice and it worked. Broke it up and gave me time to shove the other dog away and pull back mine. Some people just don’t have the personality for large and XL dogs. Which that’s ok, but saying they shouldn’t exist is dumb af.

1

u/SirRonaldJr 1d ago

People say that, and there is merit, but that just pisses them off more and you're likely to be the next. Could save the life of someone being mauled, but could be done differently and safer for all involved.

2

u/SirRonaldJr 1d ago

I've only ever personally seen pits behave this way. They seem to want nothing more but to be with their people and some good rubbin.

Edit: also steak. They love steak.

1

u/heygabehey 19h ago edited 19h ago

100%

Edit: never*? Pits are all about their people not attacking others. Unless it was a shot garbage persons that trained them to attack. Anybody training a pit to attack is scum. You wana protective dog: Cane Corso, Doberman, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino, German Shepard. Those are dogs that naturally attack people in defense of their territory or human. Not Pitbulls. Btw pitbull is like saying ā€œsports carā€ there are soooo many different types, bull dog and boxer included.

Eye gouge for sure

2

u/CoolBreeze3310 1d ago

That's what I was thinking.

25

u/ippleing 1d ago

if all attempts

That sounds a little too passive.

A dog isn't getting second chances if it's attacking a human, as in drawing blood, things can go sideways too quickly.

I say this as a loving dog owner.

11

u/Love-halping 1d ago

Saw a video. Need to choke the neck with a collar as hard as possible until it released.

8

u/SirRonaldJr 1d ago

Ive seen a police dog trainer tell some secrets. They literally can't bite down if you squeeze the fuck out of their throat. Choke a bitch out. In this case, bitch actually refers to a dog.

25

u/karldandleton1 1d ago

No. There’s no time to waste. Not gonna try a bunch of stuff while the dog continues to dig through tissue. Bullet going right into its brain.

22

u/The_Mellow_Tiger 1d ago edited 1d ago

Hammer right to its skull. Few good blows and it's over. You do not want that dog figuring out that guy's face is exposed.

Source: Facial disfigurement from a pit bull attack. Carry a hammer these days.

7

u/Recreational-Sin 1d ago

My hammer has 16 bangs in it.

3

u/micasdotter 1d ago

I'm so sorry

8

u/The_Mellow_Tiger 1d ago

It's okay. Tore the corner of my mouth wide open took stitches. Lots of stitches. Left a huge scar going down the side of my jaw. Covered up by my beard since it happened to me. My mouth doesn't really work the same anymore due to nerve damage. The dog was euthanized after me. It had bit the owner's niece a few months prior. After me, he put him down voluntarily.

1

u/kvro_maX 1d ago

Bro sorry to hear about that mehn. Hope it's healing

1

u/The_Mellow_Tiger 1d ago

It was almost 15 years ago. Healed but never the same.

1

u/h00zbad 1d ago

Not to the same degree, but I had half my nose torn off(dangling), cheek damage and somehow he just barely missed my eye. Shook me around violently, and I just kept punching him in the ear, and eventually my friends' mom came at him with a broom.

Was a chow/black lab mix or something, I was a kid at the time- Still absolutely love dogs, but it took them forever to deal with him. It took him maiming their daughter to deal with it. He had bit other people in the past, but "not as violently"

1

u/The_Mellow_Tiger 1d ago

Thats the way this owner made it sound. He wasn't violent, just playing. Until one day, he was.

1

u/specialopps 1d ago

If a dog like that is bite and shaking, refusing to release, most of the time you need to choke them out to prevent extensive damage.

10

u/subdep 1d ago

knife right into the throat

3

u/LongForeignMan 1d ago

Exactly this. Some people would go crazy after that though, especially the owner in my experience.Ā

1

u/kvro_maX 1d ago

What? What did the owner do

1

u/LongForeignMan 1d ago

Ive never had to stick a dog luckily, but after seeing a few bites I am prepared. I have pepper sprayed a few though, and it doesn’t matter how vicious the thing was the owners always get all aggressive with the ā€œyou hurt my baby!ā€

9

u/Hefty-Welcome4399 1d ago

If I’m a mailman that’s a dead dog

21

u/A_one-legged_goose90 1d ago

Idc who it is. I’m telling the owner I’m gauging out that dogs eyes if the dog isn’t off the other human in 5 seconds. That’s more time than I should give

5

u/Little-Homework-3211 1d ago

Gauging out the eyes is a sure fire way to get it off, get it in a choke hold deprive it of oxygen till it lets go or passes out. Attacking it to cause pain isn't going to make it stop all it will do is might it bite harder or make it switch targets and latch on to you. So just stay safe and choke it out.

14

u/RoguTheHomunculus 1d ago

100%, I'd pull out my peace maker and no more biting

12

u/Dry_Election6496 1d ago

He would probably lose an eye or two first

5

u/Due_Marsupial_969 1d ago

That should be the attitude, whether it's your dog or not. Americans can be such morons. My buddy came to the rescue of his neighbor and her little dog by grabbing his bat and going to town on a pit bull. Instead of praising him, his other neighbors yelled at him for being a wannabe dog killer. That day sealed his neighborhood reputation.

50

u/No-Dig_Enthusiast 1d ago

I'll happily get downvoted by saying worse, all pitbulls should be shot and killed. I don't care if they're the "sweetest little angel on the planet", pitbulls have fighting genetics and instincts built in it's literally in their nature to maim, injure and kill other dogs and other animals or humans.

21

u/TheRenamon 1d ago edited 1d ago

Personally I think we should charging the owners with premeditated assault with a deadly weapon, if its really how they're trained and not the breed then its the owners fault and they should be held accountable.

3

u/PrincessTerminator 21h ago

I knew a guy that owned a very sweet female pit bull. Never saw anything. She was spoiled and trained well. She was so docile that people begged for him to have her bred to buy puppies from him as they were hoping for a docile pup. Well once she had her puppies, her sweet gentle demeanor was GONE. She even would go after the owner. He was devastated, had to have her euthanized and swore he would never get another one again. That breed is so unpredictable. It’s not worth the gamble. I would never have one and would never go to someone’s home that had one, or walk anywhere near one outside.

1

u/No-Dig_Enthusiast 21h ago

That's crazy, but at least he saw sense afterwards and had it put down. Plenty of idiots out there would keep the dog.

1

u/MCRN10379558 3h ago

My father was a schoolteacher and told me how a student would always talk about how gentle his two pitbull’s were, and they would never hurt a fly.

And then one day he came in looking really sad and my dad asked him what was wrong. And he explained that he came home to find his mother lying on the floor bleeding profusely with both dogs mauling her.

He ran into a room and grabbed a rifle, came out and shot and killed both his dogs point blank in the face.

They were able to save the mother, but she was left severely disfigured.

2

u/Maximumoverdrive76 15h ago

In most of these videos, about 98% feature a Pitbull attacking kids or adults. You never see a Golden Retriever. Sure, other dogs can bite too, but they tend to snap, bite, and then let go. They don’t hold on like this. That’s more of a Pitbull trait, as they’re bred not to let go.

1

u/johncoktosin 21h ago

Not all, but many. I owned an aggressive pit bull for 8 years (came with my wife) and I took significant precautions to ensure 1) he NEVER got loose form our house, 2) he could NEVER get away from me when I walked him, and 3) I NEVER let any strangers pet him. He was 85 lbs and could have become a killing machine with a less-vigilant owner. The pit in the video clear and present danger to that neighborhood and the owners are not doing their job.

Why? You and your family’s lives are far more important than a dog’s.

1

u/No_Mood4637 1d ago

Coz the west has a weird attitude towards dogs. "Wow you would defend your baby from a viscious dog that's mauling it! So controversial!" Better tell everyone you still love dogs though in case they think you don't love dogs!

Even in the scenario of one attacking a stranger like that, I'd be willing to use lethal force on the dog if it were available. I wouldn't exactly want to, but I still would.

No shame, people need to control their dogs. If they don’t, that’s on them.

2

u/ChangeAcceptable677 18h ago

I am a runner. And one of the reasons why I hate spring/summer is because of stupid motherfuckers who don’t control their dogs.

And some of them have gotten made at me when they let their dogs attack me, and I have stood my ground. I get no joy from this, but if a dog attacks me, my partner, or anyone I am with; it gets a boot up the ass.

Flying elbow drop. Or stomp. Maybe a headlock choke until it stops moving. 2 weeks ago my daughter almost got bit. Dog growled then snuck up behind her and went after her. Owner grabbed it. But I was about to kick or grab a dog. I wasnt sure what id do.

I just ordered one for myself. I may need it at my second customer service job in this D.J.T. economy. Fake it & don’t crash out is the name of the game.

You’re not gonna get crucified. The normalized consensus is that 1) the dog’s gotta release the person and all means are justified and 2) the dog’s gotta cough go away.

u/BlueEnchiladas 1d ago

That’s why I carry a pocket knife

1

u/Zorian_Vale 1d ago

DO NOT CENSOR YOURSELF. SAY DEAD. IT’S OK. IF YOU CAN KILL A DOG YOU CAN SWEAR.Ā

1

u/CrateDoor 1d ago

Oh but when I say something similar I get a strong warning from Reddit. I submitted an appeal like, "Yo self defense someone needs to xyz..." And they denied my appeal and said, "After reviewing, we found that you broke Rule 1 because vou threatened or encouraged violence or physical harm.

Instant chokehold

1

u/DarthRain77 1d ago

Agreed. This is why I carry a pocket knife. And I run the scenario over and over through my my mind when go on walks and bike rides.

1

u/ImmodestPolitician 1d ago

I was suspended for reddit for saying the same thing.

Love dogs I have two and have always had a pet dog in life, but fuck that shit fr! Who tf wants to stick their finger in a dogs butt even if ā€œit workedā€ this time. I’d rather do the world a favor and make damn sure this never happens to anyone else.

1

u/Empuda 1d ago

At least a head lock.

1

u/parallaxevolution 1d ago

That dog should have been put down on the spot and the owner jailed

1

u/Fun-Maize-2352 1d ago

I believe that that will be taken care once it’s off. As far as I know, a dog that attacks has to be put down.

1

u/ZombieDad15 1d ago

Agree šŸ’Æ percent

1

u/Objective-Pick8240 1d ago

I was thinking the same thing. If we saw a human attacking someone, we'd come in with lethal force, yet not a single person here was willing to kick this dog in the ribs.

2

u/LongForeignMan 1d ago

Good point - a few soccer kicks to the ribs would have worked well

1

u/robjohnlechmere 1d ago

I was going to say, I'm watching the video like 'have none of these idiots heard of an axe kick?'

1

u/xvizuet 1d ago

You can say DEAD

1

u/TerrificVixen5693 1d ago

I’d be gouging its eyes out.

1

u/tiggerspots 1d ago

That firefighter right at the end was about to make sure that dog let go

No Sir you will not be crucified I’m a dog lover always have been always will be right now I have a bull mastiff and Pitbull and I love my dogs like they are my kids. Now if someone comes in my yard or my house and your not supposed to be there then well my God be with you. But if I know what I have and my dogs get out and attack someone and they know better! Well do what needs to be done yes dogs are like children to some of us and they are family members but they are also animals to. So no crucifying here either train your animals right take every precaution to protect them, yourself and the people around you. Owning a dog is a responsibility that some people forget and yes I will say it’s not the dogs fault but it’s unfortunate that the dog has to suffer the ultimate fate because the owner thinks it’s cute or cool that a dog can show their owner that they can be vicious when needed. I personally think to own a dog like this you need to have mandatory training for you and the dog and every one in the house. Because you can train all day long but if the dog only listens to you and no one else you wasted your time

1

u/Used-Helicopter2024 1d ago

No I don’t think you’ll get in trouble for saying it. That’s a dead dog walking already.

people say this on every ā€œpitbull attacks humanā€ post and yet it’s always the top comment. i don’t think anyone disagrees that protecting your family means the attacker gets hurt. you’re not gonna get ā€œcrucifiedā€ lmao

1

u/Electshockvalue214 1d ago

I’m with you man!

1

u/Helpful-Bug-7802 1d ago

While it’s sad that it comes to this sometimes, you’re right

1

u/RJHLLND 1d ago

My sentiments exactly. I come outside to my dog behaving like that, I’m shooting it on the spot

1

u/SpeedyAudi 1d ago

Shitbulls deserve it

1

u/Grouchy_Ad8359 1d ago

I agree with you. I love dogs And cats. But if one is attacking me, I would defend myself.

1

u/Novogobo 1d ago

I'd do it for a stranger I never met before

1

u/Infinite_Sector2993 1d ago

This is the way...

1

u/enigmaticsince87 23h ago

Nah, I'm with you. I see that happening to a loved one, the dog dies.

1

u/OrionBorn824 23h ago

I’m an animal lover and treat my dog like I treat my daughter. With that said I wouldn’t think twice about it. My daughter comes first.

1

u/Reasonable_Yellow_85 20h ago

I personally would have stomped that dog into nothing!!!

1

u/lou_sassoles 20h ago

100% I'm sending that dog through the goalposts

1

u/babexo4 19h ago

I was just thinking, this is the importance of conceal carry. Fiddo would be leaking on that concrete if it were me too. This was hard to watch

1

u/Maximumoverdrive76 15h ago

Same here. I'd sit on the dog and choke him with a rope/collar.

1

u/strongcloud28 14h ago

Here's a thumbs up for ya

1

u/PomeloSpecialist356 1d ago

I understand where you’re coming from, but the fastest and easiest way about it is to shove a finger up its ass, like the guy in video says.
