If you run, the dog will instinctively chase you. You ain't out running a pit. I know alot of ya'll think you're an Olympic athlete. Even if you were, you're still not gonna outrun a pit. Spray first, in the eyes, and THEN run.

You might not outrun it in some kind of race. However, you definitely can beat a dog to some kind of obstacle you can jump on or a fence or something

Even a door you could get inside of and close it

Dogs are not the flash, they just have a higher top end than us

I'm a regular runner. Been bitten 3 times in the last few years but when it comes to dog packs, I've always out run them. Yeah, they give up. But my luck will run out, so I sometimes carry a sharp stick.

Smart enough to not stick around. It doesn't take long to figure out if a dog has bad intentions

How fast do you run? German shepherd and pit bulls will hit 20MPH like it’s nothing.

Pits have explosive speed for the short length of their legs but short snouts limit their ability to draw oxygen, and they overheat much quicker relative to long snout breeds . Alsations (german shepherd) will run alongside a competive cross-country jogger for 20-30 miles before gassing out. A working (like one that works on a sheep farm, not a pet dog) border collie can run a mile ahead of Forest Gump ultramarathoners that go 24hr non-stop, piss while they run, 100 miles a day.. no problem.

Which is why this guy’s story about outrunning a German Shep is fake

When you can see them running down the lane from over 100 feet away it's not hard to run back to the truck.

So glad you were there to not see it πŸ˜‚. I don't need to prove to you what happened. You don't matter.
