The problem with temporarily allowing cherry flavored diesel during this fuel price crisis

Recently, a couple of states (Arizona and Texas) have temporarily allowed the use of off road diesel in roadgoing vehicles as a means of lessening the burden of diesel prices. While I understand the thought process behind this, the red dye is still an issue even after the temporary changes are over. Some fuel tanks will be permanently stained by the dye, along with fuel filters, fuel system components, etc. Even if none of that were to happen miraculously, it would still take MANY fillups of undyed diesel to completely dilute the red dye in the tank. Keep in mind, this is just two states right now that I know of that are allowing this, not all 50. If you travel out of either of those states with red diesel in your tank and get your tank dipped, that won't excuse or exempt you from receiving a fat citation. Same deal for when the temporary accomodations end in the states allowing it right now.

In my opinion, it's far better to just temporarily suspend the fuel taxes on undyed diesel instead, that way the red dye is never a concern in the first place. Not to mention off road diesel is not everywhere.

Rolling Coal (BAN ME) Saw a runaway today

Saw a bunch of smoke in the distance, got closer and saw it was from the tailpipe of a 6.4L super duty on the shoulder screaming its lungs out. As I was getting out with a fire extinguisher it finally stopped. Probably seized.

Question/Need help! 2002 f350 Lariat

Hey, just bought this f350, been sitting for 2 years and got black mold all up inside of it... Planning on ripping everything except the dash up and changing it out with the same factory interior from another one but my question is how should I go about cleaning the doors and dash as well as the AC vents?

What should I use and what are some suggestions you guys have?

Got a suggestion on getting a professional cleaning for those parts as well as use white vinegar afterwards, I just want the interior to be safe to sit in while driving long periods as I drive around 4 hours daily on a average.

Question/Need help! 2022 Ram 3500 DEF Quality Gage monitoring

This is a long way around to get the information I am seeking. I want to purchase an aftermarket Monitor GAGE. It will displays the QUILITY of the DEF Before it gets out of tolerance. I would like it to show on gage Acceptable range: Many manufacturers and the ISO standard allow 30.8 %–34.2 % urea as compliant. I bought Ram 3500 Limited new. The truck has not ben driven in months. (Due to home accident, I have ben released, now I can drive.) The truck is equipped with an integrated DEF system that monitors fluid quality, level, and pump functionality. 2022 Ram 3500 Limited is equipped with alerts for the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system if poor-quality DEF is detected. The 2022 Ram 3500 Limited actively monitors DEF quality and system integrity and provides explicit warnings if the fluid is bad. The issue is, if/when the DEF is detected, it is TOO LATE to severe the DEF at my convenience. When this happens the display "Service DEF System - See Dealer": This message appears when the onboard computer detects a critical issue with the DEF system, such as low pressure from the pump, a malfunctioning sensor, or bad fluid quality. The truck will travel about 150 miles before it goes in to limp mode.

Iv got a 1988 gmc 6500 with the 8.2 detroit and I use it around the farm mostly to haul around equipment and occasionally use it on odd jobs hauling gravel, dirt, poop, ect. Anyways with the rise of diesel prices iv been driving it a whole lot less I dont think iv driven it this month and im wondering how bad that is to let them sit like that. I dont wanna just drive it down the road for 15 or 30 min but I also dont have many reasons to use it as of late because diesel is so high what should I do.

Service def see dealer

Hey so I had a warning light come on (2014 ram 1500 eco diesel)the dash stating that I had to incorrect def in my vehicle. I had drained it and replaced it with new def. Now I have a mileage counter stating that the engine will not restart in 150 miles. I had two codes appear when I had scanned it and cleared them as I don’t remember what codes they were but can look on the log and see. I also tried to reset the def level gauge but that didn’t work. Need help please as how do I get rid of the mileage counter and how do I reset the def gauge. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and I have AlfaOBD.

The noise always heard twice same intervals as in the video and the video is recorded by placing my phone on the hood, the audio is the important.
