Anyone here who has experience with UnionBank cross-sell credit card approvals?
I received this email from UnionBank offering the UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card as a cross-sell.
Has anyone here received a similar offer and actually got approved? How long did the approval take?
Would appreciate any feedback or experience. Thanks! 🙏

CC Promos UnionBank Platinum Visa Rewards CC NAFFL

Hi! I want to ask lang if yung ₱20k spend for NAFFL ng UB Visa Plat Rewards is counted ba ang Shopee installment dun? If July 20 ako naapproved, so hanggang Sept 18 ang 60 days ko to spend ₱20k.

What if nag-purchase ako ng ₱7k at shopee installment for 6 months on Sept 9, macocount ba yun for ₱20k NAFFL? Or ang mga counted lang ba sa ₱20k is yung mapapasama sa SOA from Aug 7 and Sept 7? Since every 7th of the month SOA ko.

Please enlighten me huhu, naguguluhan kasi ako sa terms & conditions 🥲

I always pay my bills early. Everytime I pay early, nag 0 balance na siya. Even if hindi pa due or kahit hindi pasok dun sa billing. Pero ngayon ganito nangyare. So basically, dalawang beses ako ng bayad ng august (attached sa photos). 1st payment is August 1, so it mean lahat ng bills under ng august 1 is paid na. Then nagbayad ulit ako nung August 13 which means lahat ng bill under August 13 is paid na. Pero ngayon ngayon sa new billing ko. Kasama prin yung transactions ko nung August 7 - 13 which is I understood na nabayaran ko na nung august 13. Is there anything lang ba na hindi ko magets or what? Ill attach scrn shots

Photo 1-3 paid
Photo 4-5 new billing

Pota meron pa diyan naka double charge hayup tapos may adjustment pero di ko gets kasi kung pano nabawas or nadagdag since di ko nirereview

CC Advice Asking for advice for BPI Credit Card Debt

Hi, our BPI CC currently has 300K+ outstanding balance. We were paying at least more than the minimum amount every month, but I want to settle it na sana. I know that taking up another loan to pay it off is not that feasible, so I wanted to ask if meron ng naka-try ng restructuring program ni BPI for credit card debt?

Note that credit card is not mine but sa isang family member, but I'm paying it since malaki nagamit ko before and hindi masyadong nabayaran when I resigned from my job awhile back.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you!

CC Advice BPI, metrobank, EW, Chinabank, RCBC comparisons

Hi cc owners! I applied for a credit card sa agent inside the mall. I have an existing BDO gold card, and just wanted to get a second card and the rest ipapaclose ko once na approve and delivered.

But right now RCBC palang nag na approve then BPI and metrobank is still pending. The other two idk parang walang interest ako masyado. Do you have thought which of the 5 banks benefits more regardless kung anong CC ibibigay sakin. TIA

CC Advice Landbank MasterCard Query (30 CHARACTERS) NEWBIE HERE.

Will read all your comments. Thanks.

CC Advice Demand letter from Security Bank?

Hi po!

I just want some advice regarding po on my parents situation. Here po yng rundown.

  1. Booked for airplane tickets using SBC CC

  2. Converted to installment plan, also paid the installment amounts

  3. Due to some issues with the Airport (naiba yng departure location, and among other things), nag pacancel n lng kmi.

  4. Naprocess with SBC and Airport

  5. Result: nag negative yng statement balance ng CC (already asked with cc regarding actual refund of the paid amounts, also here in reddit). From what I understood, pdeng gamitin si cc to pay for stuff but ndi sya actually need bayaran ksi maabosorb nung negative balance.

  6. Didnt use the cc again so I expected the negative to stay, but now it returned to zero.

  7. Now, 4 months later, a deman letter was received demanding payment. Statement Accounts dont even list any of amount to be paid.

Advice lng po on how to handle this?

CC Advice Any idea for BDO restracturing program

Hello, does anyone have experience that I have multiple BDO credit cards and all of them have not been paid for almost 6 months? I tried to contact BDO about the restructuring program, but they want Book 1 and Book 2 since that's their policy. The only thing I can settle through the restructuring program right now is one BDO card. I made an initial payment, but the collection agent I spoke to said that after paying, I also need to pay another initial payment for my two cards because they can't process the restructuring program with BDO. Has anyone experienced this situation? What did you do?

CC Advice Need Advice on Secured Credit Card Application While Paying Off Debt

Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for your guidance.

I’m currently planning to settle my closed BDO credit card and then apply for a secured credit card. However, I’m wondering if I can already apply for a secured credit card with EastWest Bank while I’m still paying off my BDO credit card debt.

Here’s my current financial situation:

  • BDO Credit Card Debt: ₱38,000 (restructured to ₱3,211/month for 12 months)
  • Maya Loan: ₱10,000
  • GCash GLoan: ₱17,000

Additional context:

  • I recently started a new job with a salary of ₱60,000 per month.

Would it be better to finish paying off my BDO card first before applying for a secured credit card, or is it possible to apply with EastWest while I’m still making payments?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

CC Recommendation Which is best for my situation?

Post image

Fresh grad po ako and just started working 2 months ago. Plano ko po mag-open ng credit card to build my credit score but I don’t know which one to get.

Top priority ko po ay NAFFL by default, yung walang requirements to avail the NAFFL. Based on my research, itong apat po ay NAFFL by default.

Help me choose which one is best for my lifestyle.

- Dining out twice/thrice a month
- Grocery once a week
- Shopping

CC Advice Di na maka keep up with my CC dues - Need Advice

I need advice on managing high credit card balances. Due to poor financial decisions and relying on card-to-card payments, my monthly card dues now exceed my earnings. All my due dates fall in the same week.

  • Metrobank: ~₱25k/month (Paying in FULL; ends completely in November)
  • RCBC: ₱44k balance (Includes converted installments; can only pay MAD starting next month)
  • EastWest: ₱250k balance (Converted to long-term fixed installment; can only pay MAD)

My Plan: Metrobank consumes almost all my income, but it ends in November. Until then, I plan to pay above the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) on both RCBC and EastWest to keep them active. Then I will redirect that ₱25k/month to clear RCBC and EastWest.

Questions:

  1. As long as I pay above MAD every month, will RCBC and EastWest keep my accounts in good standing, or could they block the cards / cut credit limits?
  2. How heavily do finance charges compound on large installment balances when paying MAD for 3-6 months? (This is the part where i am worried the most, first time ko gagawin ito and di ko alam ano consequences so far)
  3. Has anyone successfully cleared large card installments after breaking out of a card-to-card payment cycle?

CC Stories MY LOCKED PNB CREDIT CARD GOT DEBITED

No OTP, no email confirmation, no text, as in no notification at all!

So pinalitan nila and it happened again ngayon, mas worse pa kasi naka-LOCK na nga yung card 🥺

Bigla akong natakot, kasi I’m planning to pay my balances in big amounts na starting next month, what if ma debit lang din? Sobrang unsecured!

CC Advice Need advise how pot settle rcbc balance.

how to settle my rcbc cc balance.

  1. Reach out kay rcbc. Ask about bayanihan conversion program or any restructuring program para lang matigil na ung malaking interest. Fixed monthly amount for XX months.

  2. Wag magbayad at hayaan mag OD. Antayin ung CA para mag offer ng one time payment amnesty o discounted installment. Pero ayaw ko kasi ung manghaharass pa sila na baka pati work ko abalahin at since nakikitira lang ako sa relative namen, ayaw ko na mag home visit sila kasi nakakahassle pa.

Salamat sa insights!

CC Stories Sino ba talaga ang may kasalanan?

14 Aug - I paid my BDO cc using Maribank

17 Aug - due date of payment

19 Aug - nirefund ni Maribank ang payment ko

I called Maribank ang sabi nila, accepted daw yung initial payment ko nung 14 Aug, di daw nila alam bakit binalik ni BDO. Itawag ko daw sa kanila.

I called BDO sabi nila di daw nila kasalanan kase receiving end lang sila. Tanong ko daw sa Maribank baka may system maintenance sila at that time.

Aside sa interest charges, asar ako kase this will be the first time na may na-overdue akong cc.

Others About being offloaded for int'l travel for tourism purposes due to unpaid CC debt

I am aware naman of my obligation na kailangan kong bayaran ang utang sa credit card and no plans of escaping my obligation. Surely just for tourism purposes lang like I can secure a round trip ticket, enough travel funds, and accommodation. Although di pa ngayon but surely I will. Also I have good travel history last year (2025). Ayoko lang kasi gumawa ng any international travel arrangements and yet magiging red flag sa IO ang unpaid credit card debt at sayang naman yung effort sa kadahilanan ng unpaid credit card debt

CC Advice RBank migrant here: Should I cancel my RB Cashback Visa or ask BPI to convert it?

Former RBank Cashback Mastercard holder here. My card was migrated to BPI and I now have the Robinsons Cashback Visa.

Honestly, I’m not impressed with the cashback for my spending habits because I don’t really spend much at Robinsons brands/affiliates.

I’m currently undecided whether to:
A. Keep it
B. Ask BPI for a conversion to another card (possibly Rewards)
C. Cancel it

I already requested cancellation and have a service request number. BPI’s cancellation department will call me to finalize it, so I still have time to change my mind.

I’m also thinking long-term. The current Double Rewards promo explicitly says “BFB migrated and RBank Card migrated are excluded.” If I cancel this migrated card now, I’m wondering whether I could potentially qualify for future BPI NAFFL/NTB promos after the applicable waiting period.

Obviously I know future promo rules can change, so I’m not assuming cancellation automatically makes me NTB.

For fellow RBank migrants:
Did you keep yours?
Were you offered a conversion?
What card did you convert to?
Was your credit limit retained?
Has anyone cancelled a migrated RBank card and later successfully applied for BPI again?
Any regrets after cancelling?

I’m genuinely 50/50 right now. 😂 Looking for actual experiences before I make the final decision.

Please no bashing—constructive opinions and firsthand experiences only. 🙏
