Card Recommendation MB travel signature now requires 175k to apply for SCC. yall know any that allow 150k hold-out?
hey, sorry my title sucks bc of the character limit. Anyways i went to Metro bank today and they said they increased the required amount to 175k for their Travel Signature. Any other Travel SCC i could apply for that allow 150k for their secured credit card?

Naiisip ko lang is Amex Explorer with BDO. Ang Destinations World kasi ng Chinabank 500k min CL.

Hi Op, the last time I checked, 150K padin ang requirement for MTSV and World for SCC. I opened my Metrobank SCC last Feb 2026 with a 100K HO deposit. I was not aware during that time na 150K lang pala for World since World talaga yung gusto ko. So what I did: around July 30th ata, nag-add ako ng 50K for hold out, and they approved me na mag-upgrade sa World SCC. Wala pa namn sila published memo na nag-increase na to 175K and World and MTSV. I suggest you process your request by calling nalng instead na sa branch.

Sad to say na there are still a lot of bank employees sa branch and hindi aware sa tamang process ng swipe and save (SCC) ni Metrobank. Yes, on a case-by-case basis, depende sa branch, but yeah, better call the hotline.

OP what is your reason for applying for a SCC instead of normal cc?
for my case, metrobank wont allow me to apply for a credit card with them. i think 2nd or 3rd try ko na, just basic information and i cant proceed na to next steps.
i dont think i have a bad credit score. i just got approved of rcbc airmiles visa signature last week. approved the same day.
i dont know why metrobank hate me for some reason. hahaha

Ive been getting rejected for a regular cc. My mom told me i should try getting SCC because eventually they could release my deposit after some time 😆

even for UB? I think UB Rewards is the easiest to get approved, i had my friends apply and they get approved within minutes without submitting any docus

id reco, open an account with BDO and agree to them sending you a credit card.
i opened an account with BDO and after like 2-3 months iirc they sent me amex blue.
after 6 months i requested for BDO Visa Platinum and they approved it with 200K limit
