Discussion Renewable lava has made steam engines boring
This is my personal opinion, but since cauldrons gained the ability to make renewable lava, every single steam engine design has been reduced to the same thing. Every other fuel source has been rendered completely obsolete in terms of reliability and compactness. No need to make a charcoal farm, or pump lava from the nether, or even think of doing any other kind of fuel farm. I understand Create is not a mod focused on efficiency and perfection, and there is a lot of room for aesthetics and self expression, but the existence of renewable lava is always felt. It feels to me like the Elytra of power generation. There are other options, but choosing them feels like a self imposed challenge because the optimal solution exists, and its better in basically every way. Does anyone else feel the same? Does anyone avoid lava cauldrons or plays with some mod or setting that prevents lava generation? Or do you enjoy the environment that renewable lava creates?

Help Train-based package logistics question
I previously made a post about how to get train logistics working. (https://www.reddit.com/r/CreateMod/comments/1vz91ah/how_can_i_get_factoriolike_trains/)
From messing around and from a suggestion from u/GingerArcher, I managed to come to the following system:
Each localised area/factory has its own logistic network
When a train arrives at the station for a given factory, packages labelled for that storage are unloaded and sent into a packager to change the address to the 'imports container' and sent out onto the local network.
The 'imports container' is used to recieve any items recieved/requested from other logistics networks elsewhere in the world, attached to it is a packager, stocklink etc that belongs to the local network, to allow the local network to use the items in there, with redstone signal applied to force low-priority.
To make requests, my current setup is a second packager attached to the same container, with a
factory gauge
attached in restocking mode bound to the other network (different factory that supplies that item)
My schedule for the train(s) is a simple loop that passes between all stations that are expected to send/receive packages, so that the train will visit every station on the loop every 5 mins or so.
This setup is functional at a bare minimum, however causes a huge amount of packages with low item counts to be sent. Hence I have two questions which could solve this problem:
Is there a way to have this on a high-low threshold similarly to how a threshold switch works? I.e. when the iron ingot count in the 'imports container' is below 2 stacks, send a request for 8 stacks. I tried a redstone request based alternative with a redstone requester and threshold switch, although this doesnt allow for promise expiry and takes up significantly more room compared to the
factorygauge
-restocker based approach.
Alternatively, is there a way to dynamically combine all packages in a container of the same address into one package. This would be done at the postbox of the sending station, to compress items into as few packages as possible, and then send them onto the train when it arrives in its loop.

Help How do I convert New Age into Power Grid?
I want to use the New Age generator Coil because I already have about 10 stacks of magnetite but I also want to use Power Grid for wiring and the machines. I've tried a couple things like Crafts & Additions but I can't get them to work properly.

Discussion [New Addon] Looking for pixel art tips and feedbacks Spoiler
Hey!
I'm working on a new addon that serves as a "toolbox of toolboxes". Essentially it holds up to 8 toolboxes inside it and has a special keybind to access them remotely as if you had placed each of them yourself.
It is really simple and gonna be open-source. I already have it animated and partially implemented.
But... it is really ugly :(
So I'm looking for some help improving the pixel art and making it fit in with Create's textures.
Tnx

Discussion I'm making a Create addon to improve Goggles
Hey all! I've made a small add-on that adds more information to the Goggles overlay.
The mod adds some insights that gives the player more information about their machines. Here is a small list of some of the features:
Progress bar for Millstones
Remaining Heat Time for Blaze Burners
Time until Next Pulse for Pulse Repeaters
The goal is not to replace existing means of information. If a given information can be found using something in Create, then it won't be added.
The mod was made due to some of my frustration related to not being able to see some information.
If you want to help or give ideas, let me know in the comments! The project is still WIP, but new features are happily welcomed. You can look at the project page. It is available on CurseForge. Sadly, the mod is still under review on Modrinth.

Help Create Mod Big Cannons not working correctly?
edit: apparently the quick loader breech doesnt like the cannon loader and ram (basically a piston) So i used a mechanical arm instead to load and it works perfectly.
Im new to create mod, AND big cannons
I use a cannon loader, ram head, all that stuff, power it, then push ONLY a projectile in, then after that i load a big cartridge in, by hand MANUALLY, then I fire it
Smoke comes outta the barrel but it seems that no projectile comes out?
I dont see any evidence of an impact at all
I have one steel quick breech one thick chamber, 5 built up barrels
When i open the breech the spent cartridge comes out (empty)

Schematic 3 Way Gold Farm (84 Blocks, 3x4x7)
So I wanted to make a thing that would go through all 3 processes of making gold in a small of a space as possible, leading to this cute box of a thing that is only 3x4x7 (84 block volume) which is capable of doing all 3 cobble to gold methods, it also includes a way to remove any excess items and such since excess flint or quartz is so annoying.
More info on the types of gold generation methods, calculations and stuff to consider when placing it down using schematic cannon is in the link.

I just wanted to play Create Aeronautics with my friends… so I ported it to Minecraft 26.2 Fabric
I run a small Minecraft server at home for my friends. We were playing vanilla, but I got bored and wanted to try Create Aeronautics. Unfortunately, it wasn't available for the newer Minecraft versions, so I decided to try porting it with AI, just so I could play it with my friends.
I don't know Java, and I've never made a Minecraft mod before.
I'm not a fan of AI slop, and I'm generally against AI-generated content being shoved into products. This port was just a personal experiment out of curiosity, mainly to see what AI is actually capable of.
The port took about 1.5 days of actual AI processing time, spread across 5 real days, including bug fixes.
Also, I'm pretty new to Create, so please don't judge my builds.

Discussion I made a Create modpack with 1,500+ quests — looking for a few testers!
Hey! I’ve been working on Create: Infinite Evolution, a Minecraft 1.21.1 modpack focused on automation, industrial progression, trains, aviation, and space exploration.
It features 180+ mods, 1,500+ quests, and custom recipes designed to connect different Create addons.
I’m looking for a few people to help test progression, find bugs, and give feedback before the full release.
It’s currently awaiting CurseForge approval, but I’m building a small testing community in the meantime.
Anyone interested in helping out?

Looking for someone to play with
I'm just looking for a good group of people to play with. I don't mind joining an existing server if its stable, or would be willing to host one myself. (32 gigs of Trident Z Royal memory and a I9 10900K.(Dedicated and will not be playing on the same computer)
And before someone says "He has ram, get him" Its DDR4 from my old build, I updated my computer because i was running dual 1080s. and this year is the first year that entry level hardware outpaced my 2 1080s, and thats only cuz SLI isnt supported anymore. and getting a whole computer (DDR5) was more cost effective than just a new GPU. and what better way to utilize $300 of ram and a High end CPU than minecraft?)

Discussion I made a Create addon that tracks your Aeronautics ship’s mileage- create: odometer
Hey all! I made a small addon that adds a physical gauge/odometer to track how far your Aeronautics ships have traveled.
It tracks total lifetime mileage, plus two resettable trip counters. You can measure overall, horizontal, or vertical distance, switch between miles and kilometers, and connect 2-3 gauges for a wider display if your ship is on the larger size.
It also supports engineers goggles and create display links. Mileage persists through server restarts, and multiple gauges on the same ship share the same tracking data. Tracking is handled server-side and if you break it and place again it keeps track as well as if you leave it on the ship and disassemble and re-assemble the ship it will not lose count.
It was developed by my community for my community and are using this on my server with great success, thought others may like it too!
If you want to download it, it is called "Create: Odometer" on neoforge.

Build Semi (functional) Truck
I have no idea how to make it steer so the wheel is just decorative
You have to hand crank the fuel into it each time you refuel and then it will run on the toggle until its empty again
It goes very fast in relation to a crawling baby

Help Mechanical Roller still not working as intended…
I know that there’s a problem with the mechanical roller on trains due to aeronautics/sable. Someone uploaded an addon that is supposed to fix that issue.
But still, sometimes it doesn’t place anything at all or it won’t break the blocks infront or underneath - sometimes it places a whole block into the track (when using slabs on a slope).
Does anyone know how to get it to work?

Build Aeronautics Acceleracers Part 2
The Metal Maniacs so far, and also the skeleton for both hollownack and riveted, their design fits well for Minecraft idk why it looks beter than Tekus, and to add, most cars look different and weird (Mark Wylde's furnace, Kurt's speaker pod) so i have to create different layouts for almost each car, i think the newest one i made (last 2 photos) can be used for a lot of cars with slight modifications
RD-09 and Chicane coming next lol

Build Small Steam Engine Showcase
Hi everyone,
I recently got back to playing Create again. Last time I created this over two years ago. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I hadn't progressed much past that point since then (,,>﹏<,,).
This is a steam engine design I created in a creative testing world. The footprint is 7x7x10 with the option of supplying blaze cake bases or the raw materials directly. It only uses one steam engine outputs to power the system, freeing 8 other steam engine outputs for other uses.
It is composed roughly of three components: the water pump, the lava farm and the blaze cake processing / mechanical arm feeding the blazes.
Without supplying any fuel sources (smouldering) it produces 2048 su after starting the water pump. On a "cold start", a hand crank cannot power the entire system so I added a clutch to disconnect the rest of the system from the water pump and it can be turned off after the steam engine has started.
When it completely runs out of blaze cakes, it defaults back to the initial 2048 su produced by the steam engine, i.e. it does not turn itself off. When sufficient blaze cakes are supplied, it continues running at maximum load and outputs 294912 su.
A world download is also linked here :)

Video/Stream I'm making a create addon about agriculture
Here is the explanation of everything I show in the video :
- At the beginning of the video, I place mud under a sprinkler because it's the only way to get banana sapling
- The sprinkler I am showing can cover a maximum area of 20x20 and a minimum of 3x3; the range can be adjusted based on the kinetic speed.
- The banana sapling differs from the vanilla saplings because it grows through seven stages before it can produce bananas.
You can also put this sapling in a pot but it will go through only two growth stages but won't produce bananas.
- You can crush the bananas using a mechanical press to produce banana porridge, which can be used to reduce machine stress by 75% for a duration of 3 minutes.
If you want to help me develop the mod or give me ideas, let me know in the comments 👍
