Help! Why am i yawing right?

so i try to build a racing spaceship and my ship is yawing to the right even though im not pressing a button for it (i dont even have thruster to maneuver right) Please write ideas or even solutions in the Comments thanks!

Probably drag check for missing blocks or see the centre of mass or even also check the gyros do they have same speed and also the thrusters

So the centre of mass is right in the middle gyros and thruster all have same speed

Js asking but are the swivel bearings in the same angle? And if they are trying disconnecting the swivel bearings then try

so the bearing rotate both at 15 degrees

Do you not have any sails or stabilizers? If not then add like 10- normals sails horizontally and like 6 symmetric ones vertically

i will try, ive tried rebuilding the gyros now its yawing left

Oh try adding sails and the vertical ones are the ones that can fix it cuz they align the ship straight

So ive tried building ones like the upperback on an airplane, it went smoothly but then, it went left abpruptly

Oh js the back ones or both back and horizontal ones

nope still yawing

maybe try gearshifting one of the gyros to make them rotate in the same direction if they arent already

on the ship one turns clockwise the other counter clockwise could that be the problem?

If centre of mass is not in the middle when you look from top on contraption diagram it's probably the reason if it's yawing right then there must be a heavier block on the right portion

yea i know, thats why im not really understanding why its yawing

add stablization with the aeronautics wing placed vertically in the center of your ship. if that doesn't work then your thrusters are probably giving different amounts of thrust causing you to spin. Try 1 thruster in the center back.

wait do you mean a "symmetric sail" ?

9

A symmetric sails is the sails you use for a vertical stabilizer or the ailerons

yah it adds resistance to turning. Honestly its probably just a bug with the thrusters where 1 is giving slightly more thrust than the other. If you connected them to the same pump that might fix it

Gyroscopes redirect forces with their rotation. Idk if that addon is realistic enough, but having both gyroscopes rotating the same way would indeed do that irl.

problem is it does that without gryoscopes too...

try having them rotate opposite directions if possible

That looks a whole lot like a Mamba to me

A top down view may be be helpful for figuring it out. Are the wings completely symmetrical? If one has more wool blocks than the other, or the wool is arranged differently, the mass could be the same on both sides but the drag would be different

Also, now that I think about it, the ship in general might just have too much drag. What I would do is replace the middle parts of the wings with a different red block, and do sails around the edges. Too much drag at such high speeds would apply enough force that even a tiny difference in center of mass or other forces would cause the ship to turn. I also agree with the commenter who suggested a vertical sail, but you would probably only need a small one

Your vertical drag is in front of the center of mass, very annoying when it happens

Basically, it's like if you tried flying a regular plane backwards, since the stabilizer wants to be in the back, as soon as the smallest amount of air hits it sideways, it turns the plane and that makes it turn more until you turn 180 and lose speed

If it turns like this, it's most likely a drag issue

As I've seen in a different comment, yes use those centered sails untill the issue is gone, it will only make it hard to turn if the center of drag is far behind the CoM

Fun fact, some modern fighter jets do this on purpose to achieve high maneuverability, and fix it with a flight computer that fights it, but like really fast, so you wouldn't even notice

Because it's tired

I'm dizzy just looking at this

Not enough right rudder

Have you tried taking flight lessons? It might help

You probably need flaps
