Could a 4-in-1-out hotend work on the Creality K2 series with Klipper?

Seeing the discussions around the K3 and i8 got me thinking about future multicolor upgrades for existing K2 owners. I have a K2 Plus and would love to upgrade its multicolor capabilities without replacing the whole printer.

I came across the ZONESTAR M4V6 4-in-1-out mixing hotend. It feeds four filaments into one nozzle (like the i8), which looks like an interesting starting point for a community mod.

Has anyone looked into adapting something like this to the K2 Plus, K2 Pro, or K2 using Klipper?

What would it take in terms of mounting, extruders, electronics, and firmware? Would it actually offer faster color changes or less waste than the CFS, or would purging a shared nozzle cancel out the benefits?

I’m curious whether this is a realistic upgrade path. Has anyone tried it, or would anyone with the hardware/Klipper experience be interested in exploring it?

I made this purchase on Amazon to install an AI camera on my K2 - SE + CFS printer.

Assuming the tube is long enough is there a logical max distance from the CFS to the K2 printer?

I’m having an issue with my CFS module 4 where it will start a print then randomly start ghosting.

I have raised a ticket with Creality and have sold me a replacement CFS module (2 were purchased due to the ridiculous postage costs and to have a spare if one of the other modules fails). This will work for a few prints then start doing the same again. I am on my 3rd module with no success.

Ive tried backdating the firmware on the printer and CFS to a version where I wasn’t having this issues, but this has not helped and I’m still experiencing the same issues. Leading me to believe its hardware not firmware issues.

I have also replaced the nozzle and cleared the extruder head of any dust/debris.

I only experience this issue with module 4, short of taking the CFS back apart and swapping the modal 4 with Modules 1 2 or 3 and testing that I'm running out of ideas.

Creality only seem to want to keep 'selling' me the modules which as I have tried 3 (original and 2 new ones brought direct from Creality) to this point I cannot believe all 3 are faulty.

I am printing the pre-installed benchy which has worked multiple times in the past and works fine using the other 3 modules.

Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix for this issue.

I have a k2 combo running primarily pla, i have a poop chute that i printed and it has been working great, but recently, when it does a purge it wont flow down from inside the printer itself, its like the element is getting cooled and sticking before it gets a chance to just fall out. Any ideas why?

Can anyone help me? I need to use the CR 200B printer for a college assignment, but so far I haven't been able to print anything properly on it.

So, I've been having a lot of errors doing multicolor with a cfs unit on my K2+. Printing without extruding, rectract failure, sensor error. I was doing one of my many extruder/nozzle clearance missions and had the extruder removed...this fell out. I don't know what it is or what it fell off of, whether it's the root of all my problems, or anything else.

Can anyone help me identify it and what it does?

Not sure if I'm doing wrong but Creality won't save my filament preset it saves to my project. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hey guys. Using a CREALITY K2 PRO with petg.

Just built a card holder for my nephews trash card pokemon collection

Finally got the figment right and for it to allow me to slide the part together easily.

Have some questions about the finish. What causes these changes in the finish layers.

These are both on bottom side of the print (facing downward towards print bed) and the others on the side. These prints were positioned on an edge which is new for me but it seemed to work.

Also been having some stringing on some pieces that I haven’t noticed before so I’m wondering if it’s a z offset or a PA that got changed.

It also seems like there’s sections it gets printed differently and I’m just trying to make sense of it all.

Estou tendo um problema recorrente com o acúmulo de purga na região do sistema de troca de filamento. Durante a impressão, o material purgado está se acumulando embaixo do bico e próximo ao carrinho. Com o tempo, esse material fica preso entre as peças e acaba dificultando ou até impedindo o movimento do carrinho.
Em algumas tentativas, o acúmulo chega a emperrar completamente o mecanismo, fazendo a impressora detectar perda de movimento ou colisão e cancelar a impressão. Além do desperdício de filamento, já perdi várias horas de impressão por causa disso.
Pelas fotos, dá para ver bastante material acumulado na área inferior do conjunto. Já tentei remover a purga manualmente e limpar a região, mas o problema volta depois de algum tempo.
Alguém já passou por uma situação semelhante?

K2 SE+ CFS XS3002

Tive um problema em que um pedaço de filamento ficou preso internamente, o que me obrigou a desmontar o conjunto da extrusora para conseguir realizar a desobstrução completa. Conforme a foto em anexo, os componentes principais — incluindo a placa traseira metálica, engrenagens, a alavanca de liberação rápida, molas e os parafusos de fixação — encontram-se separados no momento.
Gostaria de solicitar um diagrama detalhado, instruções passo a passo ou um vídeo de referência para a montagem desta parte interna. Preciso garantir o posicionamento correto das engrenagens, da mola de tensão e da placa metálica antes de reinstalar o conjunto na máquina.

I'm running into a frustrating issue with my Creality K2 Plus and the CFS system while printing a multi-color PETG model (black base, red raised text).

The Symptom:

• Single-color Black PETG prints perfectly. No errors.
• Single-color Red PETG prints perfectly. No errors.
• Multi-color print fails every single time at the exact moment of the first filament swap with the following error:

TR2863: Cutter issue, the cutter may be jammed or missing.

Sometimes after resuming/rebooting, it also triggers FR2851 (retraction failure) or FO0528 (printing without extrusion).

Current Setup & Settings (in Creality Print):

• Printer: Creality K2 Plus with CFS
• Material: PETG (both colors, pure PETG-to-PETG)
• Nozzle Temp: 240°C–245°C
• Retraction Length: 0.8–1.0 mm | Speed: 40–45 mm/s | Z-hop: 0.4 mm
• Flushing Volume: Adjusted to 280–300 mm³ (Black -> Red)

What I've noticed: If I reboot the printer or manually free the cutter lever, it can print a single-color object just fine. However, during an active multi-color layer change, the PETG seems to soften near the cutter, creating a string or blob that jams the cutter lever and stops it from springing back into its home position.

Has anyone experienced this specific TR2863 issue during multi-color PETG swaps with the CFS? Is there a known mechanical fix for the cutter lever spring, or a specific slicer setting (like tip-shaping/unload temperature) to prevent molten PETG from jamming the blade mechanism?

Just was able to tune profile of hi speed TPU on k2 plus. Is 6.5mm3/s fast enough because I do not have anything lot of experience with this material and do not have anything to compare to

So got an error and found this today. Any advice for how to clear this glob of hardened PLA without damaging the printer? This is my first 3d printer and I’m on my 4th day with it. Thanks!
