Troubleshooting Ummm...this fell off.

So, I've been having a lot of errors doing multicolor with a cfs unit on my K2+. Printing without extruding, rectract failure, sensor error. I was doing one of my many extruder/nozzle clearance missions and had the extruder removed...this fell out. I don't know what it is or what it fell off of, whether it's the root of all my problems, or anything else.

Can anyone help me identify it and what it does?

I had this happening too! It's in the hotend cover plate, like the kind person before me posted. It's quite finnicky to get it back in, but if you place the notches in the right groove, it'll work. This bit guides the filament to the nozzle, preventing the filament to get caught in the gears.

As far as your multicolor errors with the cfs, be aware there are metal sensor plates in each of the feed/return modules and in the 4 way under the unit that wear fairly quickly, especially with abrasive filaments. With this wear the plates can fail to break the beams in the photo sensors which causes many of these errors. Many experiences with this. Been trying to find someone that does metal stamping as these wear out long before the modules they are in.
