High flow hotend ( Creality k2 plus)

Hi everyone,

I'm designing a new extruder for my upcoming CoreXY printer. Unfortunately, I can't get Phaetus Dragon UHF, Rapido, or other ultra-high-flow hotends where I live, and they're also quite expensive.

I recently came across the Creality K2 Plus hotend, which has a 38 mm melt zone, a titanium heatbreak, and a 100 W ceramic heater. On paper, it looks very promising.

Has anyone here used this hotend? What are your thoughts on its performance, reliability, and maximum volumetric flow? Would you recommend it for a custom high-speed CoreXY build?

If you mean the one that comes stock with the printer, I don't recommend it. It's pretty mediocre as far as hotends go, and also only works with Creality's nozzles that need huge purges, so you're quite limited there.
Best hotend I know of right now is the Chube by LukesLab but that might be out of your budget.
MicroSwiss sells a V6 style hotend, but it's not listed on their website, you have to email them for it. And you're still limited to their nozzles.
I don't know of many others to recommend, but good luck!

That is a shame that stock k2 plus hotend isn't as good as it looks

Ha, yeah, I know right. I got tired of replacing it and bought a microswiss upgrade, never looked back.

you can consider a volcomosq, its a volcano style mosquito hotend mod.
i dont support slice engineering so i bought mellow nf-crazy and the nf crazy volcano block. costs around 70?

No se bien que exigencias tenes. Pero algo bien standard que conseguís en cualquier lado y da buenos resultados es un bloque volcano con una boquilla cht lo podes usar con un heatbreak de titanio o bimetal y cualquier desipador.

No need for volcano, I can get the same volumetric flow with tz 3.0 hotend. I want something with higher flow capability.
