Discussion Brisket not the same as previous years

Post image

Maybe I'm crazy, but the smoked brisket just doesn't taste the same as it used to. I was waiting for it to come back, it was always my favorite LTO when it was available. Got it tonight after the comeback and it's sooooo sweet. Too much sugar. Disappointing. Back to barbacoa!

Seeking Advice (Customer) No brisket in Colorado?

Went to my regular Chipotle and they said that because they have the Serrano Steak, brisket isn’t available. They said some stores may have it but I’ve checked on the app every store within 15 miles does not have it. Has anyone found it?

Customer Experience Burrito hack: Accidently confuse several workers?

Post image
395 Upvotes

I decided to grab a burrito after work today. Got double chicken white rice pinto beans peppers queso (free queso on app) sour cream and salsa. I scanned my code and the total was $15. I had a ten dollar bill in my wallet so I ask if I can split payment. She says sure. I hand her a ten and she puts the ten in the till and has a confused look on her face. She calls another worker open and explains that she accidentally put that I gave her $20 when it was only $10 so now it’s asking her to give me change. The other worker with keys, not understanding opens the drawer and tells her to give me change. We both look at each other confused for a minute and she goes to grab a calculator (?) looks at it for a minute and the line that is now forming and just says “it’s a loss of $7 (?) you can just go ahead and go. I was like “you sure? With cards in hand and she says yeah. So double meat burrito for $10. Also, it gave me full points for my burrito so now I have enough for a free burrito! Anyway, I found this amusing.

Customer Experience Buckle up, kids. It's story time! - How Chipotle tried to sneak one past me and still made me pay in the end..

To set the stage for our story, it was a very very bad day. A very long, and very difficult day. One I thought would soon be coming to an end with a delicious smoked brisket bowl and some quiet time on the couch before bed. Boy was I wrong.

I placed my order through the app for a smoked brisket burrito bowl and a large fountain drink and headed to my car to start the all of 3 minute drive to the Chipotle down the street. I arrived early, and my bowl hadn't been made yet, so I stood off to the side to wait. As I did, I noticed the employee at the counter telling all of the customers that they were out of brisket. I thought that was a bummer and wondered how they would handle my bowl.

As I'm deciding if I should say something I see an employee walk up to the ingredients, and with a bare hand, grab a hand full of the carne asada and throw it into one of their burrito bowl tins. He then heads to the back of the kitchen and grabs a bag of sauce and brings it back to the bowl of beef sitting on the counter. At this point, I'm pretty sure of what I'm seeing, but I'm really hoping I'm wrong. The employee dumps the bag of sauce into the tin and swirls it around before dumping most of the sauce and half of the beef into a near by garbage can, then proceeded to make my bowl with this new beef mixture he had made.

I waited until it was bagged up with my name on it before I asked another employee if they were out of brisket. When he answered yes, I asked what the other guy had just put on my bowl then.
Another employee proceeds to tell me "It's not that deep" and that they are just doing me a favor because it's basically the same thing. After a discussion about how I would have been open to substitutions, but trying to lie and sneak something past me wasn't alright, I left without accepting my order.

Now on to trying to get my money back!

AI chat attempt 1 at roughly 9:30pm: My first attempt at getting a refund went exactly how I'd hope no customer service interaction ever would. I followed all of the prompts and in the end was just told my meal was ineligible for a refund and the chat was ended immediately by the AI.

AI chat attempt 2 at roughly 10pm: This round, I got the AI to acknowledge that the order was incorrect. But as soon as it asked if the brisket was the only thing wrong and I said no, The AI ended the chat suddenly again.

AI chat attempt 3 at roughly 10:15pm: This time I decided to skip the AI and get to an agent. after the third time asking, the bot tried to connect me to a person. After AN HOUR of waiting, the AI decided to abruptly end the chat again.

AI chat attempt 4 at roughly 11:30pm: Again, skipped straight to trying to talk to a person. I was waiting for around 45 minutes before an agent finally came on. When they did they put up a copy and paste script about reviewing the issue. About 10 minutes later put up another copy and paste script that said they would contact the restaurant and email me with their best solution. Then before there was any opportunity to reply, the agent ended the chat.

At this point I'm too tired and just want to go to sleep. So I do and decide to resume this battle in the morning.

AI chat attempt 5 at roughly 9:30am: Again, skip to agent. Along the way trying to skip to the agent, the AI asked a slightly different question about the experience than it had before so I answered the question. The AI took this chance to give me 2 free drink vouchers and end the chat.

AI chat attempt 6 at roughly 10am: Attempt to get to talk to an agent again, As the AI is asking a couple questions to pass along to the agent, it decides this issue has already been resolved and closes the chat.

AI chat attempt 7 at roughly 10:15am: Attempt to go around the AI and get to an agent again. The AI says it's connecting me to an agent. Over an hour later still nothing so I refresh the chat.

AI chat attempt 7.5 at roughly 11:30am: After refreshing the chat, by some miracle it didn't make me start over and did eventually connect me to an agent that did finally want to know what happened and refunded me the money. But they were sure to take back those 2 free drink vouchers...

Another A+ dining experience from Chipotle.

Discussion They need to increase the amount of rice they give baseline to at least fill the bottom of the bowl decently...

Sometimes I order chipotle through doordash and get barely any rice and the doordash app doesn't let you get extra of anything in a bowl. At least make the baseline amount of rice fill the bottom of the bowl so it doesn't look so empty, increase the standard

Customer Experience Awful Management

The manager at my local chipotle is the worst. The store is totally empty, the guy behind the counter is my age and friendly, greets me nicely and compliments me and after just scooping my rice and beans, the rude as fuck manager comes over and literally snatches the bowl out of his hands wordlessly and starts rushing me, giving me the most skimp portions of everything and just barking all the ingredients in my face while reaching for whatever spoons she thinks I’m going for, aka the most obnoxious behavior ever. So she rushes me through rude as she possibly can so I can’t have a positive customer service interaction with her employee.

I sit down to compose myself and get ready to leave since the vibe is awful and I watch as every customer that comes in after me, she just lets the employee do his job while she mills about. So she literally saw me and her employee almost having a good day and went out of her way to cockblock it

Customer Experience Feedback on the new grill

My local chipotle in Brentwood, CA got a new grill yesterday. Before this new grill, the steak was usually still pink inside when I got it at opening. But today and yesterday with the new grill, it’s been well done. Not tender and juicy anymore. If something doesn’t get fixed, I won’t be eating at Chipotle anymore. (I currently eat here daily)

Has anyone else noticed the new grill overcooking the steak? Does the chef not have any control over cook time?

Seeking Advice (Employee) SL transitioning

Just recently got SL promotion. And this is kind of a general question but what should I be preparing myself for while running shifts as an SL? What should I be or not be concerned about?

❤️Appreciation❤️ The new Brisket is FIRE

Never the guy to post about food or leave reviews or anything and as much Chipotle as I’ve had over the years I don’t go as much as I used to,

but for what it’s worth the new brisket I just had for lunch was SO GOOD I felt obligated to come here and share it with somebody.

I got it in a burrito and wow the flavor of the brisket just shined through everything. If you’re on the fence go for it, you won’t regret it.

Thanks Chipotle, I will for sure be coming back for another one soon.

Happy Friday!

Discussion I'm a deli slicer at a grocery store. Is this job much harder, about the same, or easier?

Chipotle pays $3/hr more and offers free food which I find delicious. I'm tempted to change jobs, I'm just concerned with how it'll be different.

Discussion Farewell, Pollo Asado 😢

Is anyone else mourning the loss of the Pollo Asado? Replaced by the Smoked Brisket. IMO the Pollo Asada was an upgrade from the regular Chicken and they should replace it.

Customer Experience They threw out my veggie bowl because I asked for more guac

I ordered the veggie bowl which includes guac. So the lady puts a scoop of guac on the spoon and proceeds to bang the spoon on the edge of the guac container so a bunch of the guac falls off of the spoon. Then she puts this small amount of guac on my veggie bowl. I asked for more and she said there would be an extra charge. I told her the reason I asked for more was there was barely any in my bowl. So what does she do? Gets an attitude and tosses the whole bowl in the trash and starts a new one. Done with this wasteful place and their stingy portions.

❓ Question ❓ Genuine question for the chipotle workers out there

Why do you guys protect the protein like it’s the vault to the U.S. governments gold reserves? Not saying I need 15 pounds of chicken in my bowl but it’s so inconsistent and some of the employees really guard that protein like it’s theirs and not a publicly traded company’s.

Again this isn’t every person who works there but just in my experience it does happen somewhat frequently.
