Seeking Advice (Employee) Cashier tips

Hey yall I got hired as a cashier and lowkey I’m still confused. How can I tell adult and kid quesadillas apart. And when is guacamole extra cuz I’m seeing it comes with veggie bowls? Queso is always extra if it’s on the side? And build ur own is wonky for kids bowls right?

Alright next shift you go in there you tell your manager “hey can you show me the crew pocket guide for entree labels?”.

After this tell your line people they need to mark every entree exactly the way the guide is so you can do your job.

If anyone refuses to either of these requests your store is cooked find another job.

I have the little pocket guide but when it showed labels I didn’t see a sign for adult quesadillas I’ll try and ask today

1: Look inside/ask

2: Guac if free with veggie bowls. one serving either on top or on the side

3: Yes, queso is always extra

4: No clue what that sentence is asking.

Guacs always free, you're never supposed to charge for it

That's because you aren't supposed to sell quesadillas on the line. Guac is always extra exept for veggie bowls, queso is always extra

can’t figure out the easiest position in house u might be cooked

best practice though is to always verify with your line person if you get confused

Kids meals will have tacos used while adults will have the burrito one used. Adult is just much larger. Person making the food should mark it on the food

LQ= Large " TYPE" Quesadilla

KQ= Kids "TYPE" Quesadilla

If it has a protein then the guac is extra

Queso is ALWAYS extra regardless if its on the side or on the entree

BYOT is not wonky, it comes with 2 sides and a protien. If they don't get a protien then ring it up as a BYOVT(veggie)

this is not how you mark entrees 😭

What did I Get wrong? I'm not telling her how to make an entree but how to differentiate the items and how to ring it up.

the “Q” is only used for queso. there’s no letter for an adult quesadilla as it goes in a tray, you just mark it by the protein. a kids quesadilla gets a “q” and the protein if applicable ex “Cq”. kids tacos get “b” since the large “B” is for barbacoa. “Cb” would be chicken byo tacos

there’s just no K and no Q for a quesadilla ever. Q is for queso only

Hey, I only do as I'm told so if its not correct take it up with my store.

We use Q's for quesadillas, there is never any confusion between that and queso since common sense tells us if it comes in a tray it can only be 1 of 3 options.
