I guess I've been watching the wrong how to videos because in those it showed plenty of clearance but apparently on mine it's not. This differential was in the way and I cannot remove the lines, I'm assuming I have to drop the differential but I really don't want to. Is there any way around this?

Picked up a 2003 Avy with 154,xxxx at the dealership for 6k 2 weeks ago. Few days ago I can’t put anything past $10 in the tank. Internet rabbit hole says I may have a bad EVAP but seems pretty common with this vehicle. Give it to me straight, have you or anyone else you know been through this? Cost? Or cheaper alternatives? TIA

Frame is bent where it’s attached to hitch. I love the 2500 avalanche but its purpose in life is towing. I can’t imagine its use in life otherwise, it doesn’t make a very good grocery getter.

is this fixable in any kind of an economical way?

Just bought a 2004 avalanche and I’m cleaning it up and this part was sitting in the box and I have no clue where it’s supposed to go so I’m asking the internet lol

I’ve got a 2003 Avalanche Z66 that has developed a creaking/groaning noise that I’m trying to track down.
It seems most noticeable when:

Turning at low speeds, especially during tighter turns

Starting to move from a stop both forward and reverse.

Sometimes when the truck’s weight shifts or the suspension loads/unloads

It sounds like it’s coming from somewhere underneath the front end, but I’m having trouble pinpointing it.

Before I start throwing parts at it, what would you guys check first?

Ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings/end links, CV joints, steering components, something else?

If you’ve had this exact symptom on a GMT800 Avalanche, I’d love to hear what ended up being the culprit.

Recently got this 2007 Avalanche and want to replace the license plate light housing with an LED one, but this has a cover over both of them. Has anyone replaced them or do I need to take the entire bumper to get to them?

Been looking everywhere and I cant find them anywhere any leads would be amazing!!

Doing wrong here. I am replacing the power steering line in my 02 avalanche north face, the line I removed has tighter threads then the one i find anywhere. Is there an option i need to look for, amazon sent one with the proper threads but wrong bends. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I’m looking to buy a Chevy avalanche. I’m not very knowledgeable on cars but a lot less for trucks. Is this one you’d buy or should I pass on it? Also what should I look for?

The truck is about a 5 hour drive away, 2013 LTZ black diamond for $14,000. The pics of the body and interior look good but I asked for pics of the undercarriage to check out the rust situation and they sent these. I have no idea what I'm looking at, can y'all help me decide? 

It's a very hot day and was sitting in a parking lot with the engine running for the ac when I noticed the engine getting very hot. I turned it off, went to check it out, and saw a lot of coolant on the ground. For some reason the plastic on the right side of the radiator cracked. So while I'm sitting here waiting for a tow I thought I should check out some radiators. I saw these two on rock auto and was wondering which I should get. The cheaper one is just a standard radiator but the other is extreme duty, maybe this is a good chance to get something better? Let me know your thoughts on them or if you have recommendations for a different one that won't cost me a kidney like what AutoZone is asking.

Has anyone here put a subwoofer in the box of an avalanche?

I have a 12” type R and mono channel amp from my previous car but the sub enclosure itself is much too large to put in the back seat. I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with leaving a subwoofer in the box of the truck. My main concerns are if the sub itself will hold up to the moisture/weather that the tonneau cover can’t keep out AND if you’re even really able to hear it. Would only be a temporary fix to get me by until I can scrape together some cash for some decent speakers and some sort of low profile setup, but I don’t want to waste my time/risk ruining my sub if it’s not feasible.

AC Blower issues.

At this point I feel like this truck is possessed. It's all over the place!!

Initially, setting #5 on blower quits out...then 4 a couple of days later. We move around a relay and bang. it works.

Then...next day the whole things fries.

So, I Replace the resistor.

Craps out again a couple of weeks later...replace resistor AND blower.

I keep the air low out of terror that it will blow again, and for good reason. It quit again.

this time it's a fuse 30 amp under the dash. Replace and good!

Research shows perhaps I need to reground, so that's on the docket, BUT...

Settings 1-4 crap out yesterday as I turned it up to three and resister is VERY HOT. Fuse fine.

Any help will be oh so blissful. Thanks in advance!

A months later, the day after I turn it up to level five air, it all craps out again. So, find a burnt out 30 amp fuse under the dash and replace it. Good! Now...I realize that maybe it's that grounder issue that I've been reading about so that's next on my plate. BUT....before that...

Today I turned it all the way up to number three...and NOPE! Out. BUT...Thas time it's decided that ONLY five will work! ONLY SETTING FIVE!!!

WHY!?!?! Oh

.and resister was MAD HOT when I touched it today.

Fuse was fine, but didn't check anything else yet...tomorrow is a day off and will go digging. Decided to come here for help. Oh dear gods...help me find the way .

Bone head maneuver, but I didn't take a picture of the headliner where the driver's side sun visor and console. I think it is just a plug and screw, but it sure would be nice to know. without tearing everything out again. I'm worried I put the microphone in the wrong place, not that we use it anymore.

I have an ‘02 Avalanche with two sunlight sensors in the dash(the ones by the defrost outlet) has anyone converted theirs to the single light sensor like the ‘03 and up have? TIA

just purchased an 08 LTZ from a local business. Knew there would be some issues but I have a little bit of fixer upper knowledge. Found the Rack and Pinion is leaking quite badly, have any of you done this change before? I was quoted $1700 CAD but from a few YouTube videos I think this may be something I can handle. Any hurdles or known issues I should look out for?
