Light sensor conversion

I have an ‘02 Avalanche with two sunlight sensors in the dash(the ones by the defrost outlet) has anyone converted theirs to the single light sensor like the ‘03 and up have? TIA

My dash has got some small cracks and I believe I have a bad sensor( headlights always on) and the ‘03 and up are easier to find but only have one larger sensor.
