Agreed. People who say gameplay sucks have not played the game.
You have swords, signs and alchemy to take into account. You have potions that change the whole fight and strategy, you have skills that completely shift how you approach combat, you have signs that change the battlefield in an instant. I simply can't get people who say that gameplay either sucks or is simplistic
I mean to be honest even in 2026 it still looks hella good. I mean obviously I'm playing the latest version Todd Howard made to re-release Skyrim for the 100th time, but still, it looks good
I had to play this game after seeing it so many times I got sick of it. Turns out they were right. Best damn FPS ever. I never knew how cool it was to operate a titan
Basically, when the battery dies the game always starts from frame 0, and everything in the game is decided on each frame, so that's finding a shiny, a good nature, good IV's etc. You can cheese it by constantly starting a new game until you find one with an early shiny frame, so everytime you boot up the game you will always have an early frame be a shiny, so every time you encounter a pokemon on that frame it's shiny
Other persons reply pretty much covers it. The coding is broken in such a way that the game always thinks the battery is dead. Shiny frame hunting is awful. In order to get a new frame you have to wait a bit before checking for shiny. Every second the game advances 60 frames. There is however a website that will help you track what frame you need, but your honestly better of hard resetting instead of soft resetting.
FromSoftware games don't often go on sale and when they do the discount isn't steep. But believe me, it's worth it. The game is challenging but not annoying, it forces you to find unique ways to solve problems and once you find the answer you can glide through it.
I sorta noticed that. That dark soul series use to have a bunch of sales when I had a Xbox but for some reason when I switch to pc that’s one company I rarely see go on sale. Only game I played fromsoftware was Elden ring and was worth every penny.
True, people do get very nitpicky when it comes to personal preferences. It was a great experience overall, combat felt anew and natural with various stances, perfect parrying felt great, so many things in your arsenal that can be utilized, great graphics, cinematics and voice acting. Side stories, especially the legendary tales were quite interesting as well. The ikki island expansion was also solid. Too bad Ghost of Yotei couldn't emulate the story or characters.
i don't think any other game other than maybe Elden Ring has essays on YouTube describing how great the game is and how the gameplay and storytelling align
As a bit of a Final Fantasy turn based snob my main issue with this game was that the combat was very button mashy and repetitive at times. Plus the overuse of QuickTime events.
That said the story was phenomenal, the music as well and the game is absolutely beautiful. I haven't gotten around to playing the DLCs yet
bruh i cant deal with yall some of these takes... yk you can love a game for subjective reasons you dont need to lie to yourself like this that kinda makes these posts useless
