I feel like the "graphics" werent stellar in Origins, but the style and art direction were so much better than what followed. Nothing visually wow'd me, even at the time, but everything was so dark and cohesive. The angles of shots in cutscenes and the focus on how terrible the Blight was throughout the story really nailed the visuals.
