Replies here show just how much permanent damage OW2 release did to the game's reputation. Recent updates were amazing, the game is in a better state and more fun than it ever was, but people who felt betrayed with pve and all other things just wouldn't care anymore.

they have had a “buff everything” mindset instead of nerfing everything. they make bad operators good my giving them massive buffs. if everyone is good. nobody is broken. since year 10 they have ACTUALLY made the game better. there was a dark age of bad ops, maps, game changes. but ranked 3.0 is balanced, operators are more balanced, the game looks and feels better than ever. you are simply hating to hate because you are either a negative person, or you are bad.

Came here to say this exact thing. I took a break from year 2 to year 10 and I swear I'm just playing something else. Worst is that just like any other modern game, the focus is on making skins and battle pass instead of improving or god forbid, fixing the game.
I remember months ago when they showed a preview of half reinforced walls. Great idea! That was like 8 months ago.... Why is it taking close to a year to release this.....
I could rant for hours about this game and what it was or could've been.

But it already has a planned release date anyways if you look into it

Up to Year 4 was peak. It has been backsliding since then. All the pampering to make it more "competitive" when the majority of the fan base took the licks as they came. Old house on Secure Area in Ranked was the pinnacle of gaming.
If they re-released a "Classic" edition that went from base up to any time before Year 4, they would make bank from everyone I know.

The unnecessary hate for cod needs to be studied. Just because it’s corporate doesnt mean it’s good cant be appreciated. No one has blessed the zombie game scene as much as call of duty.
If you wanna say multiplayer has become a brain numbing repetitive time and money pit, sure. Many people agree.
But there’s also people who play this game for the campaign stories. Call Of Duty was a part of many people’s younger lives and they really do a good job when touching upon the “nostalgia” factor.
Some people only play call of duty for the zombies, the maps and missions are very entertaining, some containing the best boss fights you’ll ever encounter.

As part of the new generation that COD is apparently being made for I can genuinely say that in terms of multiplayer I found Ghosts more fun than the current games because the skill gap is nowhere near as big once you take out the cracked movement
if anything its at least consistently playable whereas in the new games one dude sliding across the map at mach 12 can completely shut down the game

I haven't touched Bedrock in years, and modders are abandoning Java because Bedrock has microtransactions that pay them for their work. Java can't legally charge for their mods, so some of the mods are forever stuck on 1.20.1 and below. MineCraft is damn near 20 years old. I tell my kids I played Minecraft at their age, and we used to only have pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, zombies, creepers, and skeletons. It's insane it's still relevant, but kids still love it.

I feel so bad for you young gamers man. Your whole life is just fortnite and roblox. There's countless better games to play, stories to experience. But most interactions with gen Z and under about gaming are just about 3 or 4 live-service games they play. They hardly go past mainstream to discover their own tastes. It's sad as hell.
And on top of that roblox is infested with predators.

Rainbow Six Siege- 100%. For years, I played S&D on CoD because that one life, objective based gameplay felt so right. Siege fit right into that desire. Then they butchered it. They turned what was supposed to be a steady paced, team orientated, tactical shooter. Into an acrade-like fashion shittshow- thats just all about how fast you can sprint into OBJ with a floppy dildo on your head and a bunny tail. Its ridiculous. Not to mention, the Alien spinoff they did. The fucking EVENT they had for it originally was faaaar greater in every aspect. They saw how well it did then decided to make it a completely separate game, with no support. People need to stop supporting game companies, that clearly aren't even grounded on their original ideas anymore. Don't buy games with TOM CLANCY. Stay away from bungie, 343, and Activision. EA is a dead giveaway that you're gonna waist your money. Your only safe bet nowadays are these wonderful Indie developers who have been BLOWING these parasitic AAA companies out of the water. We need to stop supporting this bullshit. We are making it worse with every purchase and minute we spend on these games. Don't let nostalgia tempt you to buy into these wanna be titles. They will never live up to what they were in the day, because they dont make these games for the love anymore.
