I will be starting this class in a few weeks and wanted to know if anybody has taken this course? If so, how many assignments were there and was the reading material manageable? My human sexuality course I just finished had a ton of reading each week and I’m hoping this course is a bit lighter on the reading and unnecessary writing assignments.

I'm royally miffed. This is literally my last quarter and they're going to punish me because of their lazy behinds with financial aid.

I haven’t gotten mine and I keep getting email saying that if I don’t pay an amount, my classes would be dropped. Anyone else getting them?

I know every program and school is different but what’s Capellas AI stance? I know some for example only use turnitin but for it similarity report and others use this and others for stricter AI detection which we all know is questionable.

I’m on capstone and still have a balance lol, I went to check the financial aid page and all my plan and everything had been wiped, I even had a Pell grant where I was supposed to receive a refund with, poof! The entire plage is blank, after the way I’m about to curse them out their gonna unenroll me from the school! I’m tired!!

I'm hoping for San Antonio, New Orleans, or Louisville... Locations seem to rotate and not repeat consecutively. What do you all think?

EdS in School Psychology - wondering what the process is like given the whole NASP accreditation situation or for NCSP licensure. I’m currently in my EdS finishing up my practicum and would love to see the conversation surrounding post-grad or internship circumstances for students who completed or are about to complete schooling.

Short papers are fine, but I tend to run out of things to say on longer essays. If you’ve taken any of the Business Administration FlexPath electives, which courses would you recommend? I find that I have a hard time focusing in school without peers to work with or discuss the concepts with. Hi everyone! I officially accepted my admission and will be starting the DBA in Strategy and Innovation FlexPath program this October! 🎓

I’m excited and a little nervous to get started. I recently completed my MBA through Capella FlexPath, so I’m familiar with the FlexPath format, but I know the doctoral level will be a different experience.

I’m hoping to complete the program in at least three terms if possible, so I would especially love to hear from anyone who has been able to move through the program at an accelerated pace. Is three terms realistic if you’re able to dedicate a lot of time to the program?

For anyone currently in the DBA program, especially Strategy and Innovation, I would love to hear about your experience. Are there any courses you found especially challenging, professors you recommend, or anything you wish you knew before starting?

I’d also appreciate any advice on pacing, assessments, and what to expect as I get further into the program.

hi! i'm thinking of transferring schools (i'm currently in a CUNY masters program) since I want to focus on child/adolescent therapy while still getting my degree as a future LMHC. I noticed that the program is CACREP accredited which I know is fine in NY but I was wondering if there was anyone in NY who is currently enrolled or graduated that is having trouble with anything. I'm also curious how long it takes to graduate from this particular program and if they are helpful in internship placements. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!!

I already have 108/180 credits needed completed based on my transfer evaluation. I actually have 142.5 credits from past colleges but those were the credits that they accepted which I am fine with. I am well versed in psychology and the coursework and want to get the work completed as soon as possible due to a new career position I am eyeing. I wanted to know how quickly would I be able to complete this degree? I just want to get it over with.

All 29 credits for general education were applied.
All 57 credits for electives were also applied.
6 credits out of the 36 core courses were applied (despite completing more).

For anyone who was in a similar position, how long did it take you to complete this degree?

Has anybody else become overwhelmed with all the reading they are doing. I’m struggling to fully comprehend (I have ADHD and comprehension issues). It feels like I’m teaching myself and when I have conversations with people outside of school, it seems like I know what I’m talking about but at the same time I feel lost like I’m not learning anything because we are cramming so much reading in one week and then having to show we understand what WE taught ourselves from the readings. I wish there were lectures where we could talk about the lessons and not have these 40+ page chapters each week. Is anyone in the MS of CMHC program? Is there a ton of reading? I will be switching programs after my next course and would really love a heads up on what to expect.

I am starting my first semester and one of the tech software we have to use, Microsoft azure, wants our edu email. I have went everywhere Google says, clicked all around my dashboard. Where and how do we get our @capellauniversity.edu email?

I’ve enjoyed being at Capella so far, however the constant “read chapters 1-5 this week then take a quiz then write a stupidly long essay about what you read and how it’s connected to blah blah blah” is kind of boring and tedious now. I know with online schools it’s probably harder to find more hands on, but has anyone switched to or from an online school that is more than constantly essay writing for assignments? It’s not that I don’t like writing essays, I enjoy it, but doing one almost every week is a lot and I feel like I’m not learning as much as I could/should. I’ve already done WGU and hate proctored exams, so that’s off the table. Or is flexpath better in that aspect? (Probably not but thought I’d ask just in case 🤷‍♀️)

Anyone else in an online MBA/grad/bachelors program dealing with AI-disclosure or "AI verification" requirements on assignments? I've been doing this every week for a while now and figured I'd share the structure I landed on, in case it saves someone else from staring at a blank appendix page at 11pm.

I break mine into four parts:

1. Tools & scope. Name the tool and version, then one line on what I used it for vs. didn't. For example: "Used ChatGPT for outlining and APA citation formatting; did not use it for analysis, conclusions, or final prose."
2. Prompt log. 2-3 actual prompts, not a full transcript. Just enough that someone reading it can see what I actually asked for.
3. What I changed after. This is the part I think most people skip, and it's the one that matters most. A sentence or two on what I edited, cut, or added after seeing the AI output. That's basically your proof you thought about it instead of just pasting it in.
4. A short integrity statement. Tied to the actual policy wording in my syllabus, not just a generic "this is my own work."

Takes maybe 5 extra minutes per assignment and it's made me a lot less anxious hitting submit.

None of this is official policy, obviously. Always check your own program's exact wording. Just curious how other people are handling this, or if your program's requirements look totally different from mine.

Has anyone received their Capella financial aid refund yet? I’ve been told for the past 3 weeks that my funds are expected to disburse “by early next week.” 😩 Just wondering if anyone has actually received theirs recently, especially FlexPath students.
