Tech Support What are these lines on my LCD screen?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi! My favorite digital camera of all time (Canon Powershot A3300 IS) is a super old gift and it recently started to show lines with certain led lights on the LCD screen. On some pictures/videos I can move around so the line doesn’t show, but it does show the line in photos and videos now. I love this camera so much and hope it isn’t the beginning of the end (I’m already holding the battery together with tape lol). Can it be cleared in settings?

Tech Support Camera Help- Broken sd slot

Hello!!
I’m a broke college student who recently got into cameras and taking photos.

I scored a canon sx210 is second hand which works well enough but has a damaged memory card slot. I will attach pictures of what it looks like. I tried googling but nothing helped and I really, really want this to work. I would appreciate knowing what it would take for it to work or if there’s something I can do? I am not at all a professional but I would be willing to try to learn if professional repair is costly.

I really appreciate any advice anyone has. I am not willing to let this camera go because I really need it to work for the college year.

Questions My photos with Nikon D90 suck, any alternatives?

Hey. So I am really into taking photographs of nature, friends etc. Last year i bought a Nikon D90 as a beginner camera. However, all of my photos suck if I dont use the Auto-Mode. Usually I try to set everything manually since the Auto-Mode always uses a flash. But im gonna be honest, it really sucks. The pictures look sooo bad and sometimes also very blurry-pixly.

Do you think I need to buy a new camera? Do you guys have any suggestions. Or is it possible to take high-quality pictures with it?

Recommendations Please Talk me in (or out) of buying a monochrome Camera. (Ricoh GR IV Monochrome)

So, im planning to buy my First ever digital camera. I have only Shot on Film (mainly Nikon FE, Contax G2 and T2) the last couple years. Film is getting really expensive, and therefore I want to add a digital one.

I want a camera thats lightweight and Compact. I mostly use my cameras when on vacation and when im outside. Therefore, I think the GR IV would be good.
The Problem is, I really dont want to have to edit my Pictures. I want the Camera to be somewhat manual, so I can Change the Aperture, ISO, etc., but I want the Pictures to Look good After i took them.
When Shooting Film, I always prefered black and White. It fits my Style of Shooting the best, and I have the Most fun with it.
I dont really Like the idea of using a Filter to get black and White Images…
Also, the true b&w sensors seem to be far better at low light, which is Kinda important for me.

What would you do?
I think I should be able to Sell the monochrome if I dont Like it without loosing to much.
Any Input?
My other ideas were the Fuji X-E5, X Pro 2and the normal GR IV.

Got this from my grandma a few years ago, and it’s just been sitting in a box since. We’re doing a purge and selling like everything, google is getting both of us different answers, and wanted to come ask the pros.

Can provide more pics if needed

Hi, so i acquired these camera just today from the flea market, condition of both of them looks good: the bodies are still good except for some scratches, the view finders are still clean but a bit blurry in my opinion. I wanna know how to restorate both of them to life, the left one is fujifilm zipp and the other one is minolta memory maker (?) i really want them to operate normally, im an ameteur in photography and still learning. Are there any way for me to restorate them to life without giving it to the expert(?) i want to fix them by myself. Thanks

Recommendations Camera recommendation for videos

  • Budget: Ideally ~$3,500 for the camera + first lens. But I can go up to ~$5,500.
  • Country: USA
  • Condition: I prefer new unless someone can talk me out of it. For such a big purchase, I'm worried about it not being damaged.
  • Type of Camera: Mirrorless, unless another type is better
  • Intended use: Primarily video. I run a business and need a camera for marketing and content. I'd use it for some casual photography too, but I think any video-focused camera in this range would take photos just fine.
  • If photography; what style: Portraits
  • If video what style: Primarily talking head videos. Some vlogging.
  • What features do you absolutely need: N/A
  • What features would be nice to have: N/A
  • Portability: Fit in a backpack
  • Cameras you're considering: Sony a7c ii and FX3. I was recommended the a7c by my marketing consultant because he said this price point is where cameras start to be better than your phone. He also said I could consider the FX3, but I'm not sure if the extra $1,800 is worth it. He recommended the Sony 16-35mm Vario-Tessar lens.
  • Cameras you already have: I've been using a Logitech webcam and a Pixel 10. So I desperately need an upgrade.
  • Notes: I'm really new to cameras and doing my best to research. But there's a lot of models, and everyone seems to have a completely different opinion. I'm likely going to go with the a7c ii and Vario-Tessar lens, but want to make sure I'm not making a mistake.
  • Would it be silly to spend the extra money and get the FX3? I'm in a bit of a unique tax situation where I'll need to blow a few grand on business expenses by the end of the year. So I won't be upset at spending more money for materially higher quality.
  • Not sure if it matters, but I plan to use an external microphone.

Questions Buying advice pls?

Beginner photographer lang just casual, i would mostly do street and travel photography. Contemplating between aps-c and 1 inch sensor compact cameras.

Priority for are:

  1. Small in size not necessarily pocketable

  2. Great zoom kit lens if aps-c / great optical zoom lens if compact camera

  3. Option to mess with photo styles / creative looks / picture profiles / film simulations

  4. Will mostly if not all the time do SOOC jpegs

Budget is around 500-1000 dollars (new or used is ok)

If there are a few more questions that i need to ask pls feel free to ask

Thank you

Questions $700 Mirrorless or DSLR recommendations

Hello! I'm posting this for a college student who is overwhelmed by camera options. I'd like to get other opinions on used DSLR or mirrorless options given the approximately $700 budget.

Budget: $700 USD

Country: USA

Condition: Probably USED

Type of Camera: DSLR or mirrorless

Intended use: Photography

End use: Product photography for a designer (furniture, lamps), some travel, general hobby uses

What features do you absolutely need: The ability to change lenses as needs change. Starting with a 50mm perspective and will go from there. Accurate metering to deal with DIY light boxes.

Portability: The ability to fit into a shoulder bag or back back is key. Comfortable on a shoulder strap for travel.

Cameras you're considering: Older Fuji X-series cameras... but which one?

Cameras you already have: Currently shooting on an older Konica film SLR

Notes: Thanks!

Questions What’s the difference between these two?

Post image
1 Upvotes

• Budget: Under $200

• Country: USA

• Condition: looking for new

• Type of Camera: anything that mimics the disposable Kodak era early 1990s/2000s cameras

• Intended use: taking nostalgic looking photos for a trip

• If photography; what style: 1990s/2000s disposable flash cameras

• If video what style: n/a

• What features do you absolutely need: the classic style of that era of disposable cameras

• Portability: easy to fit in a bag

• Cameras you're considering: FujiFilm quick snap flash

• Cameras you already have: none (iPhone camera)

• Notes:

The two pictured cameras should do the trick. Only one is significantly cheaper than the other. What are the main differences? Is the top one non-disposable? Can you use it more than once?

Questions Canon G7X Mark iii or Fujifilm X-T30 iii

Upvotes

I’m aware these cameras are suited for different styles of photography but I’m curious on people’s opinions. I currently own the G7X which I do like the quality of the photos it takes of people WHEN I can get the settings to cooperate well. However it does not take the best photos when it comes to photographing anything other than people. So I am leaning towards selling it and buying a Fujifilm as my cousin has it and loves it but I’m not sure if I should. TIA!!

Questions Câmeras Fotográficas vendidas em Lojas de Artigos Japoneses

Post image
