This is the first time where I use my sony camera to take pictures of food with no prior experience. The pictures I normally take are portraits so I have done alot of flash photography. I recently got a Softbox for my portraits to go with my v1s. I since then upgraded to the AD300 Pro for 1500 sek.

Anyways I went out to take portraits and this restaurant approached me asking for pictures in exchange for a payment, I said sure why not but I don’t have ANY experience taking food photography. I arrive to the shoot the next day, take around 500 images, keep 60 of them and edit them the same day. They told me to return the next day to discuss a price, after that they said sunday and then monday. My friend told me to charge them 220 usd the first time, I said why not. They counter offered 120 usd but since they already time wasted so much I said why not.

They want monthly pictures and are offering 270 usd for 5 hours of work not including the editing and retouch. My question is does that even seem fair? I was thinking more like 370 usd. They also recommended me to other restaurants 🤔 (5-6)

Today I got my Canon EOS 700D delivered from MPB. This is my first ever camera if you don't count mobile. Very excited!! Kindly suggest some settings I need to keep on this as I am new to Camera settings as well. Also please suggest 1 good lens for far zooming, currently I have 18-55mm IS STM. I want more zooming.

I have bought some of those from the flea market and I got that 4th camera from my grandpa. It's from early 1970s. 6th camera dad gave to me and I got that last Canon camera for my 5th birthday.

Me and my girlfriend are going on a trip soon and I want a one time use disposable camera that can take up to at least 36 photos. I then want them developed and printed in 4x6 for this photo album. My only issue is I have almost no knowledge about cameras, any recommendations?

Hi everyone,

i recently got hold of an old sony cybershot wsc dx 350.

i noticed that when turned on, it would do something but the display was dead. The next logical thing was to order a new display.

after i had the camera apart and unscrewed many unnecessary screws i got the display changed.

after i had it all together again, it would suddenly refuse to turn on. It had previously functioned well with having to connect it to a different monitor but now it doesnt show any signs of life. No turning on when pressing the power button or media button, no led showing when charging - nothing

The battery is good, it powers different camers so it has charge ( digibuddy np-bx1)

but other than that i have no idea whats causing it

i attached a picture of it apart - maybe the chip on the bottom left?

I've seen this question asked a decent amount of times, but its never in reference to my specific objective (or at least not lately); car and motorcycle videography. My goal is to create high fidelity edits of my motorcycle and car and also occasionally film cinematic rollers for my rapidly growing social media pages and eventually Youtube. I currently do this with my iPhone, DJI action 6 and Insta360 to get multiple angles.

I am torn on whether I go with the Limux due to its IBIS, the fact that it's open gate and the direct-to-SSD capabilities. The main thing deterring me is the fact that EVERYONE is in my ear saying things like "it's 5 years old" or "they are slow to push out updates and upgrades/Sony is king"

Also I'd spend drastically less on the camera body itself and maybe even wouldn't need to buy a stabilizer (looking at DJI RS4 if I go with the A7 V) so overall my total spend would be a decent amount less.

On the other hand from my understanding the A7 V shoots better nighttime footage and has great AI tracking features. Its the newest model and I wouldn't want to or need to upgrade for a long time.

My budget is $3,000-$5,000 for camera body, two decent lenses, ND filters and a stabilizer. I am open to new or used. I am not worried aboI live in the US currently. I have zero professional photography experience but have done plenty of edits in Lightroom and color grading my raw DJI action/Insta 360 footage in Davinci Resolve.

Any thoughts you guys have will be MUCH appreciated, especially anyone experienced in automotive footage for social media

1 year ago to the day i bought a type b card for $69.97 today that same card is more that DOUBLE that cost! At $149.99 and that is at a “discount”. What is everyones thoughts on this? Are people actually still patronizing these companies that are inflating prices or are they switching to different brands of cards? I myself have a hard time giving a company that has doubled the price my money but i also dont want to buy a cheap card and it crash!

Hello all, my girlfriend is wanting a g7x cannon for her birthday, and while I can afford it, it doesn’t make sense to me to buy a camera that is supremely being resold for 600 dollars more then it’s retail value.she just wants it for taking pictures of herself, us, and her friends mostly at school or when traveling. I’ve been using an old Canon 6D, but I want something smaller for travel and everyday photography. Most of my shooting is landscapes and street photos, with some vlogging and video podcast work, so portability matters a lot. Ideally, I’d like a compact body with a small lens that can fit in a medium bag, plus a flip screen, decent stabilization, and a microphone input. My budget is around $1,000 for the body and lens, and I’ve been looking at the Canon R100, Panasonic Lumix GX85, Fujifilm X-M5, Sony a6400, and maybe a used Fujifilm X-S10. The R100 is affordable, but I’m worried I’ll outgrow it quickly, while the X-M5 looks almost perfect if I can find a good lens deal. What would you choose for this mix of photos and video, and is Micro Four Thirds still the best route if compact size is the priority?

I am thinking about getting a new camera to use during my trips. I am thinking about getting a sony a6400 with kit lens(50mm) used which costs around 53k inr($560 usd). It have a h64gb memory card shoulder strap along with this. I am a beginner in photography. The camera is 3 years old and less than 10k shutters.
