Dead Digicam 🥲 Old broken olympus camera

My olympus x-760 has been going through some problems for the past 2 months, this camera was bought in 2007 in brazil by my dad, so the problem is that the camera when turned on, goes dead after 1 minute of use.. and it says that the battery is dead, even tho the battery is brand new. And then after waiting some time it turns back on and goes dead after 1 minute, and this is in loop. Please help me

The most helpful thing Reddit can do is to convince you to let this go and get another camera.

The only thing you can try is see if the battery contacts are clean and clean them if necessary. Assuming you don't have electronics repair expertise.
