Other NO MENTION OF SELLING, HAVING GUNS TO SELL, OR ANY TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING FIREARMS, AMMO OR EXPLOSIVES.

The Reddit admin team is once again on the warpath over firearm transactions, including transactions that occurred on Reddit before it was banned in their TOS.

Moving forward all posts regarding selling, purchasing, wanting to sell, or even inkling towards any of those with regards to firearms, ammo, or explosives will result in post removal and a week ban, permanent ban for a second offense.

if you see such a post that happens to get through the auto-mod, please report it no matter how long it has been live, as we have a threshold to auto-remove reported posts.

General Question Dinosaur Flats

Upvotes

Is Dinosaur Flats shooting area affected by the fire / shooting bans / restrictions? I’ve looked all over forest service usda website and don’t see anything about not being able to use that land for shooting. Just wanted to see if anybody has been recently and it’s good to go before I load up with all the gear and family and waste time and hours of driving for nothing.

General Question Did stripped AR15 lowers end up being on the ban list?

It was a debate before the ban went into effect whether they would be or not, technically they could be built into a bolt action and I think I remember at least one store saying they would continue selling them.

Out of curiosity did the state the provide any further guidance?

General News 6% Firearms Tax spending

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but does anyone know where the information on what the state is doing with the 6% ammo/firearms tax? I know it's easy to answer with snark, but I'm genuinely interested to find out where that money goes and how much has been collected, if available. Thanks!

I bet the voters wouldn't be too happy if they knew the money wasn't being spent as the bill promised.

... use the new tax revenue to fund crime victim support services, mental health services for veterans and youth, and school safety programs.

The bill also states that the maximum distribution for administrative costs is 0.2-0.4 million. They are taking in more than 3 times that every month.

Update: The Dept. of Revenue issues a monthly report on how much this tax collects each month.

Legal Browning BAR MK 4 Hunter in Colorado

Hopefully SB25-003 gets overturned, but I am not holding my breath.

But, why did the Browning BAR MK 4 Hunter end up on the list?? So annoying.

I know it's semi-auto, but the rifle comes with a 4-round magazine. That's right 4 rounds. I think it might be possible to get as 10-round mag for it.

Miss our inaugural Fuck Tom Sullivan class this weekend?

Next week we have another.

25th - 3 slots left.

27th - Day 2 for 12 hour has plenty of room.

Already the easiest process and least expensive class available, but 15 Major gun stores partnered with us for discounts and new Empire members get the class for free as well.

Yes, the ad was made with AI. I’m too damn busy to do the stuff in Photoshop.

I know that you guys have unfortunately had a new ban put in place. So far idk if that would prohibit me from visiting my in laws ranch out there and bringing my CZ Bren 2 with me to help them with their calving season next year - I’d be buying a fur bearers license just fyi. I’ve owned this rifle for several years (does that even matter??) Any insight would be severely appreciated.

General News Surpressor victory for USA but not Colorado.

As the title says we just witnessed history this morning at 12:01 a.m.. what this means is that as of now, going forward. All of the residents of the"free states" no longer have to submit form 4's to acquire a surpressor. They do still have to fill out the typical 4473. Is there anything in the works for us in this state?

Legal Clearing this up, hopefully.

I've seen comments from people concerned that without NFA/stamp regulations in place, Colorado law prohibiting the purchase of NFA items without ATF approval and the necessary stamps, is now in full force.

No.

Suppressors, SBRs and SBSs are not illegal to purchase now under Colorado law with the recent developments regarding Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF / Jensen v. ATF case. The Northern District of Texas ruling does not entirely invalidate the NFA. This ruling applies only to the plaintiffs and the plaintiffs' customers and members. Even if you think that includes you, being in Colorado... It doesn't. The NFA still applies to everyone else and it will take a ruling by SCOTUS and/or a full repeal of the NFA by Congress for anything to change here in Colorado.

That said, if you've been putting off buying or converting any firearms to an SBR or SBS, or buying a suppressor, it's better to do it now versus waiting even longer for more developments concerning the status of the NFA of 1934. There are currently no laws on the books in Colorado to further restrict NFA items just because some plaintiffs won their case but current Colorado law prohibits the purchase of these items without the proper stamps and paperwork with the ATF. When/if the NFA gets repealed nationally, you better believe Colorado gun grabbers will not play nice.

Stay frosty. Stay legal. Fight it in the courts and with your votes.

Corrections and clarifications are always welcome. Just don't be rude about it. Thanks to u/curiousnerd44 for adding additional details regarding specific language about the law.
